I have first hand information about the said man.

1. They were four Italian expatriates that came in on 25th. They were all scheduled to go back yesterday. Well the other 3 left except this one that had symptoms already. He checked into a clinic on 26th and all tests came back negative until they decided to move him to Yaba for a coronavirus test.

Now here's the problem.

1. He had close contacts with people at the factory where he came to work.
2. He has close contacts at the airport plus the taxi driver that was all over him as oyibo concern.
3. He had access to domestic staff at the company quarters where he stayed.

Moral of this story.

Stock up your house with food.
Buy hand glove and mask when going out
Wash your hands as regular as possible
Coronavirus is here and it won't be funny at all.

you need to find practical solution to your problems, what are your qualification? if your qualification is low, it will be hard to get a job even with your experience, try as much to adapt to 21 century job opportunities that might not need certificate

e.g if uber or taxify is in your location and you have a car, you can register with them to earn more money on the side or find for someone willing to give you a car for uber or taxify for profit sharing

I think you should start a side business for your wife and keep on to your job for the meantime.
The mistake has already been done but I don't like reminding people of their past cuz it only brings pains.
Hope is not lost my brother, you can still.make it after all life starts at forty.
Just look into your locality and find something to establish as far as it will be bringing in some money.
You can also go back to your former business since you have experience in it.
You must be intelligent to write something like this as an Olevel holder.

The truth is you never should have gotten married in the first place. But e don happen be say e don happen. So this is my own two cents:

A bird in hand is worth a thousand in the bush. So don't leave your present job yet.
Stay strong and persevere. At the same time, scout for other jobs by submitting your cv online.
You're a man now so you have to man up.
You have a wife and a kid, and another one on the way. If you quit that job without anything to hold on to, you may find yourself in a far worse condition than you are at now.
