I can totally relate to the op's story. How an initially intended good act of yours just to please your parents turns into a disaster. In the end, you just regret why you ever made an attempt in the first place. Our parents must understand that verbal abuse goes a long way in the upbringing of the child.
Hopefully, we wont have to make the same mistakes our parents made.
But I must sincerely appreciate the support i received from my mum. She always assisted and supported me in every crappy idea I had, even to the extent of walking through the length and breath of the market searching for raw materials. In the long run, it made me believe in myself and saw the need for self development.

The Non-Academic Staff Union of Obafemi Awolowo university have gone on a 6 week strike to protest the sudden increase in the price of PMS; also known as petrol.
One of the members of the union who insisted on anonymity claimed that things had been hard for them and to increase the fuel price at such a time was heartlessess which they would protest with the last drop of their sweat.


He said -" This is heartless and callous for the government. This is the worst time for this kind of thing to happen. We will fight it. We will fight it.


One of the students, Sunkanmi Ojedokun (names witheld) lamented the action of the Union.
"The freshers have not resumed since last year. This is not a good time to strike Iike this. I'm tired of this school oh. But let the government find something to do.

The strike action embarked upon by Nasu is said to begin after the general NLC strike. Our correspondent also learnt that the strike may mean a postponement of the resumption of the fresh 100-level students who ought to have resumed since October 2015.
