Please has anyone used this service called transferwise? They claim to be able to send money worldwide (even to the US) at the standard rate.
I have checked their site and even downloaded their iPhone app. But I just want to hear from someone who has used the service if its authentic or just a big Scam

You don't really have a problem, that was like 12years ago. I believe you didn't give the visa officers tangible reasons to grant you a student visa then. Now you have a better advantage with your graduate assistant and a full tuition waiver that's great. You just need to be able to tell a VO this time things that has changed since your last interviews some years ago and why you choose the major now and your school. All the best.
Thanks, since you stay in Abuja, could I meet up with you when you're less busy? lets discuss the prospects of getting some $ for my trip

So I had my Visa Approved this morning,

Here's the transcript

Appointment time 7:30am Abuja Embassy.
I arrived the Embassy by 6am Expecting to have a very long queue. But the crowd wasn't so much.
At 7 am they called us in to do verification and then wait for the VO to arrive.
They arrived at 7:50, and the woman at window 8 had denied everyone she interviewed. I was praying not to go there.
Then I was called and alas Window 8.

Plauses: Good morning ma
VO: Good morning, how do you do?
Plauses: I'm doing good thank you and you? How do you do too?
VO: I'm well. So give me your I-20 and passport
(I handed them over)
VO:so I see you were denied a student Visa about 11 years ago, did you go on to continue your studies?
Plauses: yes I did
VO: so I see you're going to do a Doctorate, what's your highest level of education?
Plauses:I have a bachelors degree
VO: I see you have a graduate assistantship, can you explain how that works?
Plauses: I get a full Tuition Waiver and and annual stipend in exchange for working in Research or As. graduate Assistant.
VO: so who is paying for the balance of your fees?
Plauses: I have savings from working, and my mum is co-sponsoring.
VO: do you know what kind of research you'd be doing?
Plauses: yes I'll be involved in Cancer research, my dad died from a liver cancer a couple of years back and that experience fueled my interest in cancer research.
VO: I see you work, where do you work?
Plauses: I told her my workplace
VO: what do you do:
Plauses: starts explaining (VO interrupts)
VO: Your visa has been approved, you will collect it from this destination in 3 days. Good luck.
Plauses: thank you

Why did you change your initial post to "L", hope it's not for learner. If you're serious about getting a PhD admission then you've proven yourself visa worthy on the part of your credential. So, go with no fear and prove yourself to the VO. Best.
Bro, I saw one person wet been post say we fit get active VO prowling on this thread na why me I comot am jare!

You don't really have a problem, try to read pple transcript here and prepare your own transcript ..
Questions you can never escape ...

1. Where are you going in US?/ why are you going to the US?/ tell me your study plans?

2. Why this school?

Or

Why this course?

3. How do you get this Graduate assistantship?/ tell me about this Graduate assistantship?

4. I can see you are denied in 2005, why?

Above all ask God for mercy.
Wow Guys! Thanks for the reassurance, you all are great. Who wants to be my coach?
Its definitely a great resource we have here.
Feels like Family.
