I asked Nairalanders what they will do to Aisha or how will they respond if they were President Buhari. My first responder said: Exchange her for Chibok girls. Lol cheesy cheesy

Politics / If You Were President Buhari, How Would You Respond To Aisha? by PMIcon(m): 12:22pm On Oct 15, 2016
We are aware of how Aisha Buhari spoke against her husband and publicly said she will not support her husband again if he doesn't change his style of leadership- by that she meant that the president's appointees should be people they both know, not a majority neither of them knows personally. (I recall that ex-president GEJ did something similar in the appointment of former INEC chairman.)

The question is: if you are Aisha Buhari's husband and your wife spoke out against you on a global media station, what will you do and how will you respond when asked about it with international news agencies recording your response?

Note
- Your authority as the husband is at stake
- Your judgment as the president is questioned publicly by your wife
- Your wife is mounting pressure on you (or should we say manipulate you) publicly

Yes, she has right to her opinion but so do you.
How will you react if you are President Muhammadu Buhari?

which is why I said that I am not surprised.

the op confirmed what I stated in a previous thread that many men believe that a woman's primary place is in the kitchen.

so nobody should be hypocritical and lash at our president. he only echoed what's on the mind of many males.

Kitchen was not the only place the president mentioned and the preceding statement which began the answer to the question he was asked is, " (Laughs) well I don't know which political party my wife belongs to but she belongs to my kitchen, my living room and the other room... I am more experienced than her and other oppositions."
You people didn't get the gist.

To be honest, there are no valid points here except the number 2. When Obama administration appointed Hillary Clinton as a Secretary of State, it wasn't because she was the only qualified candidate for the job, but because of the mutual understanding Obama and Hillary share in terms of ideology to move the nation forward. I put this to you, if these set of people are passionate about Nigerian situation, how come they don't have common voters card? Hence, there is need to know your ministers reasonable enough, not just based on recommendation of some powerful inner cabal.

Again, she is not arrogant, she seems to be an honest person that is ready to call a spade a spade. If you are supporting Buhari anti-corruption stand, I see no reason you shouldn't respect this amazing woman for risking everything to safeguard the nation from certain set of people.

Lastly, if a western president referred to his wife like our president did while sitting beside Angela Merkel. Media will call for his head. But as this is Nigeria, where sentiment is above sense of reasoning. It is normal to relegate our beautiful queens to the kitchen, after all what does a woman know.

Your statement about the kitchen stuff tells me you didn't hear the question the president was responding to and you probably didn't see him laughing while answering. You didn't get the real gist so you seems to go by the media sentiment on emphasising what was not intended. If Buhari meant his wife is just meant to stay at home, do you think he will allow her to be doing all she is doing now- even speaking to news media?

You made absolute sense.
The woman acted foolishly.
When the president said, "I belong to everyone and I belong to no one," Aisha's action helps us to see that he was serious.

I'm rather ashamed of your comment.
You are following the foolishness of those blaming a whole tribe for the crime of few

I pray this bitterness against one another will end one day. How could humans get so low. Instead of condemning a crime people are condemning a tribe.
I blame the moderators of this forum who allow it as a platform for tribal war without taking decisive action against people involved or, at least make it public if it's done.

Apple Cider is a healthy drink with a unique taste that could be called delicious though not sugary.

It has many personal health benefits among which is reduction of belly fat.

What About Belly Fat?
Pot-belly is not a sign of enjoyment o. It's a sign that you are at risk of many chronic diseases like hypertension, stroke, Diabetes, Heart failure and so on. So don't be deceived.

Common Causes include Alcoholic beverage intake and late night meals.

Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar is the most reliable one in the market and contains "the mother" responsible for the additional health benefits.

Business / Re: Diamond Bank Copies MMM In New Savings Plan. by PMIcon(m): 1:35pm On Oct 03, 2016
LieDetector:
I think this is sparingly distinct from what MMM have on cards. While diamond bank is a legit business organisation registered in Nigeria, MMM is a ponzi scheme operating without licence. Money deposited into diamond bank can be considered safe whilst money deposited into MMM is unarguably being jeopardized hence could be subject to potential loss.

Wanna know how I got to know about MMM? Wiki is a good resource wink
From your comment, you don't know MMM and you don't know what "safe" means with banking sector.
MMM is not collecting anybody's money like diamond bank will if that's true. You have a spare money, someone needs it, the system links you up and you pay into the persons account AS A GIFT, NOT INVESTMENT.
However, you can receive 30% plus your original gift. BUT IT IS NOT A GUARANTEE. People are trying to turn MMM to investment whereas it is a gift platform with a possibility of getting rewarded.

oga... You haven't heard because you didn't do a background check before venturing into MMM. Go read up on wiki. MMM first started in Russia.... Several investors there committed suicide after MMM had fold up. The reported loss recorded was and still sounds outrageous. Tread carefully with MMM bro. Stay blessed

What do you mean by "no value added"? People are buying and paying for products and services in Nigeria with proceeds from MMM.
Do you have an idea of unbanked people in Nigeria? People are keeping more money at home and using it for business directly without involving banks because, except for safety concerns, it is unreasonable to put money in banks. Inflation alone eat up the interest banks pay on deposits.
Economic activity is going on but lack of adequate sophistication and accuracy of data collection will make some people brand Nigeria into recession and make things worse.
optimusmind:

Movement of cash without an actual service adds nothing to the GDP. It is this movement of cash that the government is weary of, it can make the economy look very active and yet nothing is happening.
That's what we, auditors, check during this recession period. Companies who about to make a huge loss because of an impairment of an asset, Just transfer a balance from one bank to another and classify it as other income. That's what mmm is doing moving money round with no service or Value added.
Talk to those Zimbabwe guys that Lost their money, they'd tell you more. Just an opinion, MMM is not an investment, it is a scheme.
Investment / Re: deleted by PMIcon(m): 10:10am On Oct 03, 2016
Nafresh you need to freshing your knowledge about MMM and what CBN and co are saying.
The system that brought Nigeria into recession, is that not a scam?
The government endorsed lotto because they profit from it, yet it is very clear that no scam is as heavy as that.
Same with MTN's who wants to be a millionaire Home Play. Can you imagine how much MTN makes from people answering questions like "Which one of this is a fruit: a. Mango b. Bango c. Bingo" and they charge millions of Nigeria for answering it only to give just 20 people 20,000 Naira. Do the maths: 20x20000= N400,000. If just 100,000 answer that question with obvious answer (who won't know it?), 100,000 x N50(or is it N100?)= five million naira. People answer more than once plus, participants will be close to 1,000,000 (just a guess.

I'm just saying we people like you may have your opinion but life is about risk. No risk, No progress. Stop putting fear in people about risk taking.
You said they should register it. I have paid Nigerian government money for my passport without receiving anything. My wrong: I registered online! A platform I thought would solve the corruption problem in the system. I have paid to get a business name that should be free in reasonable government. I was told the name is not available. No suggestion of available names was given like gmail and co will do, I have to pay again and wait again to get another response that can be "not available".
Apart from that, MMM is like getting money from a friend since you are sure you won't get from the bank and if you do, the interest is unreasonable. Do you need to register with anyone to borrow or receive a gift from someone else?

MMM Nigeria founders warned that it is NOT an investment platform(I guess the video is on youtube too) it is people helping people so leave members alone. Let them help themselves!

** FOR YOUR INFORMATION I AM NOT A MEMBER BUT I BELIEVE IN ANY IDEA THAT SOLVES FINANCIAL PROBLEMS THIS ELITIST MONEY SYSTEM WILL NOT SOLVE. IN FACT I WAS THINKING OF CREATING A MORE ACCEPTABLE PLATFORM WITH THE SAME IDEOLOGY BEFORE I HEARD OF MMM.
