If you read what you posted very well and without bias, you will clearly see that Buhari is not the Governor of Oyo state and Osun. All organs of government and persons are to take up responsibility.

Thanks for the update but does this mean no pharmacist can own more than 1 retail pharmacy business at a time.
Also does the 100% ownership by pharmacist eliminate every investor and any chance of creating chain pharmacies

Ownership relates to the legal owner i.e. sponsor/ director of any retail pharmacy business in question as registered with the CAC. The same business can operate in as many outlets (pharmaceutical premises) as possible so having chains of pharmacy is not excluded. Each premises must however be registered with the Pharmacists Council (PCN) and supervised by different Superintendent Pharmacists.

PCN is against investors getting involved in retail pharmacies. If one obtain grants or other forms of funding that does not subject the pharmacy to control by or expected financial returns to non-pharmacists, it may be allowed.

Have you considered using your writing skills to build a business, make extra money or touch lives while you are at this job? Don't waste your talent or that boss may be considered better than you in eternity.

Braggante:
The office is in Lekki, the ninth floor of a fifteen storey building, and that's where the administrative works for the enterprise is done. We are a real estate development company we build and sell and sometimes lease out luxury apartments. The income is tidy, for the owner of the company. He is the reason I’m writing this.
He is a rich guy, extremely arrogant and does not care about his staff. When I say extremely arrogant, I mean he is rude with it. So here’s a typical scenario, which has become somewhat normal to Staff. You are enjoying your day so far; just around mid-afternoon, when you hear your name bellowed in the passageway by the voice you now know to dread. "Tunde! Where is Tunde".
You adjust your tie and step out as quickly as you can, knowing that delay will result in abuses. You step out, and as he sees you, then he shuts his door behind him. You hurry along, while your co-workers pop their heads out of their door to see the look of a dead-man-walking.
His office is ice cold, and you wonder why your ac in your office makes a lot of noise for nothing. Here you won’t hear the ac complain, you just feel it. Like I feel it now, in the ostentatiously decorated office. I stand a few feet from the door, still afar from his large desk. To the right stands a huge portrait of himself, gazing down on you, and even though you are not looking at it, you can feel his stare. He is on the phone now, talking loudly to an old friend. He laughs and says his goodbye. Dropping the phone on his empty desk, his face changes immediately he sees you.
‘Are you daft?’ he says. That’s not a question, and so you needn’t answer. Answering might be disrespectful.
‘I’m sorry sir?’ you say, your hands still held behind your back, as you start to sweat.
‘Are you deaf?’
‘No sir’, you reply promptly, not knowing if it was a question or not.
‘Did you not see me on the phone? Are you so stupid that you don’t know that you should wait outside till I call you in?’
To that you keep silent. He looks at you as if his stares will rip you into shreds.
‘Are you not the one I’m talking to?’ he barks.
Now let’s take a pause here. You remember when you were doing your interview? When he sat in the middle, and didn’t say a word and you felt you had impressed him? You remember how he nodded every now and then, and you knew he was the boss with his bow-tie and expensive wristwatch, you recollect? That was a month ago. You had thought you’d do all you can and he will be impressed with your work. Well, doesn’t he look different now? Don’t you just regret sending your CV here in the first place? Okay, let’s get back.
So he’s still staring at you, his stare colder than the blistering ac. ‘I’m sorry sir,’ you say.
‘Shut up!’ he says with the top of his nose. ‘What document did you request for? The MD said he has given you a copy already, so what else is it you are asking for?’
‘We need it to send it to the bank for the-‘, you are saying.
‘Are you deaf?’ he cuts in. ‘I said he has given you. Are you stupid?!’
Now pause. At this point, you are close to breaking in tears. Not because this here man is shouting at you, or that even though you are talking in a low respectful tone, he speaks so that the whole building can hear how stupid you are, no that’s not why you want to break down. And it’s not because all of a sudden your tie is choking the life out of you, or that you haven’t had the opportunity to eat all day even though you have black coffee splashing around in your stomach and you can bet it runs through your veins. It’s because you haven’t been paid for last month and it’s the 20th already. No, it’s not about the money. It’ about honour, dignity; it’s about getting a fair compensation for your hard work. No scratch all that, it is about the forking money. Else there’s no difference between us and the slaves on plantations.
‘I don’t have it sir,’ I say.
Then he stares at me for eternity. I swallowed hard, avoiding his eyes. My legs are weak now.
‘Okay you can go’ he says, as if he’s had just enough of me and I was fouling the air. 'I said get out. Get out.' He waves his hand as if to wave off a pesky fly.
A wise man once said there is the permissible fifteen minutes of madness in every man’s day. The wise man? Me. So I’ve carved fifteen minutes out of every day to do something stupid; something I want to regret much later.
Are you done?’ say I.
‘What?’ he replies, befuddlement on his face.
‘I was just asking if you are done, you rat face.’
He was silent. His jaw drops, lips partly open.
‘Do you know just how bland you sound? Are you really this irritating, or you pretend to be? Do you sometimes stop to listen to the crap that actually comes out of your mouth? Do you-‘
‘Are you mad? Get out of my office!’ he yells. ‘Get out of my building! You are-‘
‘Fork you, I quit, you forking arrogant selfish bastard!
He stands up and walks towards me with determination. As soon as he gets close enough, I swing out a punch, meets him right on the jaw. I hear it click. He yells and falls to the floor, writhing. 'why?' he asks.
'Give me my salary first, you forker!'
Then I drag him to the metal safe under his table, and order him to open it.

‘Yes sir,’ I say with a bow, and walk out.
That could have been my fifteen minutes, to talk back at The Man, to live, to be free, to start my own path as an entrepreneur...but I am in Nigeria where The Man knows you have no choice but to remain on his plantation, and a thousand more are gunning for your post and as soon as you leave, CVs will start rolling in. There may be nothing for you out there, so this was not that fifteen minutes of madness; no, it is not yet time. Will the time ever come?
I get back to my table, relieve the grip of my tie, fold my cuffs and get back to my slave labour.

More on Staff: How Exactly Does It Affect A Pharmacy?

1.Exodus.

When your pharmacists/staff leave, few things may happen:
a. the experience they gathered in your pharmacy will be used to better the lot of your competitor

b. you start losing money to get and train another person which may take time.

c. It slows down growth beyond calculations

d. Planning becomes a challenge. They may leave when you need them most to execute your own plans.

e. Your weaknesses are exposed to more and more people with each person who decides to leave. (Family members to start with wants to know why and they have the right to.Friends planning to join your company will consult with them first.) Soon, getting good hands becomes a challenge and you would wonder why. It's because your brand is depreciating in the industry for employment.

By the way, staff turn over rate can be a pointer to how good your structure and practice has been. It is a score for your performance as a business owner.

Well, people complain about pharmacists always moving from one pharmacy to the other. They are always looking for greener pastures. But there are reasons.

# Many pharmacy owners don't have plans for the future of their pharmacists and staff. It becomes a challenge to introduce later when it wasn't in the plan from onset.

Creating a career progression plan is important. What SHOULD happen to a pharmacist that stays up to 3years, 5 years, 10 years(you've not thought of that?!) and what's your plan to make it happen? Why do you think people leave community pharmacy to become medical reps? You think about your future, they think about theirs too.

# Motivation and incentives You can't be comparing your staff with the worst in town when it comes to remuneration and incentive package and then start comparing them with the best pharmacies when it comes to service delivery and sacrifice.

What's your plan for better remuneration as the pharmacy grows? Do your staff know your plans?

#How challenging are you? Too little and too much kills motivation Do you set goals for your staff? Are you flexible when goals are consistently not attained by any unit? Any reward for meeting new targets? Are you faithful with the rewards?

# Structure and policies When you can't be predicted or when your staff don't what to do in peculiar/uncommon situations other than to call you, it can be very stressful for everyone(not only you), staff and customers alike. Everything can't depend on you. And everyone can't do everything.

Do you have a training system? A return policy? A customer reward program? Inventory management policy? etc

EVERYTHING IS BRANDING AND YOUR BRAND AFFECTS INSIDERS AS MUCH AS OUTSIDERS.

Business / "Great" Business Plans That Lead To Business Failures Don't Address These by PMIcon(m): 3:50pm On Mar 07, 2016
Missing Ingredients In "Complete" Business Plans

1. MANAGEMENT OF BLIND SPOT SYNDROMES (BSS)

One of the major risks faced by businesses is what I call "The Blind-Spot Syndrome(BSS)". The blindspot is a part of the eye with no ability to detect light.

EVERYBODY HAS THE BLINDSPOT, PHYSICALLY AND OTHERWISE. WE ALL HAVE ISSUES THAT NEED OTHERS TO HELP US DETECT. BUT NOT MANY PREPARE FOR PROBLEMS THAT CAN ARISE FROM BLINDSPOTS-- ESPECIALLY THE CEO's-- WHILE WRITING THEIR BUSINESS PLANS.
Many businesses seems to be suffering the complications of this syndrome, especially the C.E.O's BSS. Here, everyone in the company, even the most junior staff, may see the problem with the company except the CEO.
If you are a business owner, thinking or saying you don't have a blind spot is a proof you not only have one, but you are already manifesting symptoms of BSS. Living in denial doesn't change reality. It only allows situations to get worse.
Many business failures can be traced to poorly managed or totally undiagnosed BSS.If you didn't acknowledge BSS as a risk in your business plan, you better consider rewriting it.

2. EMPLOYEE LOYALTY PROGRAM (ELP)

Did you include CUSTOMER Satisfaction in your business plan? If you said Yes, you tried. I'm not so sure many consider the role of having satisfied, loyal employees in building businesses with LASTING success stories.

THERE ARE OTHERS BUT I WILL STOP HERE FOR NOW.

The problem is the wrong motive for starting and running businesses. When your motive is all about making money and achieving success it shows... and it puts a limit to how far you can go.

Starting a business should be about working with people to solve problems for people. If you don't grasp this early enough, you will suffer many avoidable losses even when you make profits.

Seems Dioscovite is getting scarce maybe because of the exchange rate. I've been advising people to buy as many as they could afford where it is available. Drug wholesalers are scared of losing money so they're cutting down importation.

You may want to check the CVs of those mentioned above. Or what's the definition of technocrat. We don't need a bigger team, we only need them to be efficient and effective.

By the way, it is not the government that's causing the Naira-dollar go up(in the black market by the way) It is those of us those who keep buying the dollar and importing things we produce in Nigeria that are the problem. WHY DO WE LIKE TO EAT OUR CAKES AND STILL HAVE IT.

Dioscovite is a natural supplement but it is possible-- though I've not heard of any-- for some people to react to it just as people react to certain food and even popular over the counter drugs like Panadol (Paracetamol) in very bad ways. Rare occurrences.

About the taste, HE SHOULDN'T HAVE TAKEN IT DIRECT! The information on how to use it is in the information leaflet. It should be mixed with healthy juice or soup. EVERYONE IS ADVISED TO READ THE INFORMATION LEAFLET BEFORE USING IT.

About effectiveness, both adult and children talk about it changing their lives.

Thanks for your comments
VNOS:
The problem is I know of someone who tried this dioscovite drug about two to three years ago and this man's crisis only seemed to get worse from that point until he stopped taking it again( about a month later). He's doing relatively well though and married now with kids. It's funny though because when you research online about this supplement there are lots of rave reviews and testimonies of how good it supposedly is especially in children. So I'm beginning to think that maybe it doesn't do so well in adults compared to children due to the experience of this man. But funny thing is he says he may be willing to try it again to see if maybe he did something wrong the previous time. And he also admitted that he wasn't really consistent in taking the drug daily due to its very bitter taste.

UPDATE

I have always wanted to edit this write up but it won't just do that.

I must stress that step 2 EXPLANATION is no more valid. While it must still be clear that the Pharmacist is the owner, THE ONLY ACCEPTABLE PARTNER FOR RETAIL PHARMACY IS A FAMILY MEMBER OF THE PHARMACIST. This will be revealed by the surname-- they must have the same surname. So those complaining about 60% being too much shouldn't bother again because it is 100% ownership by pharmacist and family. In wholesale or distributorship, the 60% may still hold. You can get information from the nearest PCN office to you.
