Frankrobbn1: Hi Francis... I will try to answer to the best of my knowledge... 1st) Yes he is very eligible as you may be favoured based on also having someone there who is now a citizen... Its a big advantage to you if you play your game right... Its safer to apply for study permit in your case. 2) Yes ... It is called use of a representative form.. (He can also write a letter to back up) 3) No... I would not advise that... Its best to use a citizen as your sponsor... 4) If your school requires for tuition fee to be paid upfront (before you arrive it will be stated in your L.O.A - Letter of Acceptance) and yes let him go ahead and pay because you will need to attach it with your L.O.A when submitting your documents... Tell your brother to also send his bank statement or tax clearance ( last 5 years is advisable if you use tax clearance method it shows good financial base ) 5) Personally I prefer paper route... To me it is safer though some may say its slower... It usually takes 60-65 days if all is well 6) No... You will fill the forms online and print them out before going to submit at VFS or wherever you desire 7) Yes... He might need to write a letter (addressed to the consulate of the High Commission of Canada) clearly stating that he is your brother and that he is claiming full sponsorship / responsibility during your stay in Canada... He should also add documents like his Birth Cert, His Canadian Passport and other relevant documents to show you are related since you bear the same last name... Vist vfsglobal.ca & canadainternational.gc.ca All the best |
