Can u pls state d nature of d job?

It gives me gr8 joy when I read thru NL and see hw employed youths r willing 2 help d unemployed. It goes a long way 2 show d@ even if our govt hs failed in it's responsibility of providing jobs 4 us, we r determined nt 2 fail in ds same respect nd 2 b of help 2 one another. Though dis thread requires d@ we share hw we got our present job, I'd rather use dis medium 2 plead 2 'U' reading dis, 2 b of help 2 me as am presently in need of a job.
I'm a graduate of Economics nd Statistics (2.1). Concluded my NYSC in June '12 nd av since bn writing tests. Knowing fully well d@ d year is gradually drawing 2 an end and most firms av stopped recruiting till nxt year, am open and willing 2 take up part time job offers evn if it's Private home teaching yl I hope 4 sumfn better. I guess SLOT is jst living on past glory. D Nigerian factor hs infected deir biz. I got an Asha 200 on d 20th of June '12, in Aug (2 mnths l8r) I couldn't browse wit d in built internet browser. Tnk God I alrdy downloaded operamini. In October (4 mnths l8r) I couldn't access my mail using d in built mail icon. Wen I click on eida d internet or mail icon, it jst remains numb, dsn't respond. So so annoying. I wouldn't disagree if sum1 says dey repackage used fones. God help us.

I ws d 2nd person dey interviewed, d 1st ws a lady nd afta d interview, she ws asked 2 cal dem by 4pm same day. Afta my turn, i ws told same tin. I called nd ws told I ws successful d@ i shd cal bak l8r same day 2 get d details f d final interview with Matt O' Bell. I called nd ws told by d man on glasses on d day f d interview 2 cal bak d@ he ws avn a meetn. I called again, he said he ws driving d@ i shd cal bak l8r. I called l8r in d evening hs son picked nd said 'pls can u cal back? My dad jst went outside'. Sooooo crazy. I repeated d calls on friday, nd d same tin continued. I had no choice bt 2 send dem a txt expressing my disappointment. He called bak nd der ws a trade a words btw us. I dn't know w@ 2 say weda dey r scammers or dey av deir candidates or jst bn unprofessional. I tried 2 contact Matt O' Bell 2 report dis bt d no ddn't connect. Dis morning, I received a cal 4rm Matt O' Bell d@ i shd call dem on thursday. It's so sad, afta wasting precious tym nd resources. D@'s my encounter wit dem so far my broda.

If I cud come in here. ADVICE & ADVISE evn though both convey same expression, are used differerntly depending on d context (either as a NOUN or VERB). In ur expression I_PHY, it ws used as a VERB nd should be spelt ADVISE as georgee suggested. On d other hand, georgee, pls try 2 correct with LOVE nxt tym. Nd 2 fink f it u ddn't proffer any solution 2 d OP's post. Cheers!

Hi Mcstan, tnx 4 ur numerous contributns. Quite insightful. Nid 2 ask u a qstn. I wrote d Kpmg test on Aug 30th '12. Applied 4 Mc. We wer abt 50 dat wrote on d@ day. Abt 40 pple accordn 2 d kmpg staff ( one short lady on glasses) applied 4 Audit, 10 of us applied 4 MC. Though we wer told recruitmnt 4 MC hs bn moved 2 nxt year, dat among d 10 of us dose who pass wld b called nxt yr. I know kpmg gives a feedbak mail 2 or 3 days afta d test (regret or suxes mail) I ddn't get any, though i felt i did well in d test. Bt a guy who applied 4 Audit got a mail 2 days l8r. I got worried nd sent a txt 2 dem bt got no reply. Do u fink i'l still b contacted considern wot d lady said abt recruitmnt 4 Mc bn moved 2 nxt yr or i shd 4get abt it? U candid response pls. @ Chioma, u mean after completing ur application onlyn u did a test immediately? Well, d@'s strange coz i also applied 4 d Grad Trainee position on d 15th. Ws told d@ my application ws bn considered. Is der any1 who also applied nd wrote a test immediately?

Dee wan! 10? Dat's nt true. Evn in my class we were up to 20. And d test ws written in 2 classes. We wer abt 40 in total.

@ georgee, i feel u. With d high rate of scamming evrywer, one wouldn't xpect a graduate 2 fall prey 2 such hungry pple. Nt with d level of awareness created abt dese pple evn on NL nd NHJ. Bt still, 4 d benefit of doubt, let's assume dere's still a handful of desperate job seekers, who can go any length 2 get wot dey want. I gues sirkay is one of such. My candid advice is dat u go thru d appropriate channel 2 apprehend dese undesirable elements nd reclaim ur money. D 1st step 2 achieving dis is 2 gather ur proof, i mean receipt of payment nd other documents den proceed 2 report d case 2 d police. They r in d ryt position 2 deal with such criminal cases.
