It is not because of the candidate of my choice, let me tell you why I'm being specific with Buhari and Tinubu's presidency.

Firstly I don't see most politicians in Nigeria as saints and that includes Obi.

But this is where as a human being you apply logic and rational reasoning, if you are presented with a choice of not so good items, won't you pick the best among the not so good?

but when you pick the worst among them, then there must be something that is overriding logic and rational thinking, and that is ideology and I will explain.

I will use the north and south west as examples, because they were the ones who opened my eyes to really understand this ideology of a thing.

Remember I said I an not counting anyone as a saint here but logic should be applied with rational reasoning.

In 2019, Atiku and Buhari contested, 2 northerners, one has verifiable business acumen and has shown some level of management in growing his various businesses, while the other had just failed his first 4 years in office, Atiku was roundly rejected by his northern brothers even though he had a proven better management skill in business and economics...

Why? Ideology drove them to make the choice, telling you they were not after a country with economic prosperity, they focused more on religion because they saw Buhari to be a more religious person.

Fast forward to 2023 and then you have Tinubu and Osinbajo

Many Yorubas roundly rejected Osinbajo for Tinubu and even called him a betrayer, why?

Ideology , sincerely speaking, most Yorubas know Osinbajo would have performed better than Tinubu, but that was not what they wanted, they wanted a Tinubu for their ideological reasons and not for the interest of Nigeria...

You might want to say the same for the Igbos with Obi, isn't it better we just divide and have our ideologies to ourselves without disturbing other people?
Buhari and Atiku were good comparison of what you said though, but the time Atiku campaigned against Buhari “aside from the ideology thing, people perceived Buhari to be working, his first term convinced people to vote for him again”

But Tinubu and Osinbajo was within party, Osinbajo was voted out in primaries, not by the people. It’s just like that of Ambode.

I still maintain my own stand of the big role Education can play.. “people can tell what is right, imagine people saying infrastructure is not something government should prioritize, because their candidate said so” that convinced me that people don’t really know what they want..

Imagine a SE resident saying sit at home has nothing to do with their economy, educated Igbo people were silent about the Nnamdi Kanu because they know what it is costing their region, Soludo have to wait till he secured his second term before going full force against them. You think any politician will become president tomorrow and reverse all the policies Tinubu has made?

Maybe the national antenna sha, they all know what’s right, but the won’t want to attempt it because they know once the effect starts pouring in, desperate opposition can use it against them to convince the masses that doesn’t actually know what they want.

You seem to have a problem with understanding, when I use the word ideology, you seem not to get what I mean, you think I am accusing certain regions of having ideologies?

No, I said all regions have ideologies and these ideologies are different, and it is what influences their choice when voting, I have explained this over and over, you seem to have a problem with understanding...

That's why I said the ideologies causes each region to want something different from other regions, reason why I said the country should split, so that each region can have their leaders specifically for what they want based on their ideologies...

If the Islamic north says they want a Sheik instead of an economist, the can go ahead and vote him and will not have any business with an Igbo man who wants an economist and vice versa for other regions too...

I have studied Nigeria, we don't want the same thing, it is not about education, it is mainly about culture and religion, That is why the country is the way it is today, what Yorubas want is not what Igbos want and so on...

If you feel your ideology is better, go and use it for you and your people only in your own country, let others do the same in their own countries, because Buhari and Tinubu's presidency has mainly being about the imposition of 2 regional and religious ideologies on the other ideologies, that's mainly why the country is the way it is today.

There will be conflict and that is the Nigeria you are seeing today...
If you feel I don’t understand you, fine.

What I understand is, every region ideology centered around having someone from their region at the upper level which is what led to regional selection “that didn’t start with Buhari and Tinubu btw”. It’s been south and north from the beginning of democracy. Either NW, NC, NE, it’s north, if it’s SW, SE, or SS na south.

And like I said earlier, if you think education is not enough to let people think beyond those ideology of being emotionally attached to politicians because of either religion or tribe, knowing fully well they are not capable of moving the country forward, and that of going against any policy made by politicians to make the nation move forward, because they are not your candidate you voted for, then I rest my case boss.

Education does not always change ideologies, sometimes it only amplifies it, that's why you can a professor who is a terrorist and even uses his education for terrorist advancement.

secondly, people know what they want based on ideology, reason why people vote the way they vote in Nigeria, that's why I asked you the question about a professor and an Almajiri choosing the same choice of candidate of a Buhari over an Adesina, and you have refused to answer why.

The answer is ideology, they chose him strictly because of Islamic ideology, so education that time doesn't count, it becomes useless at that point, that is point I am making here.

That is why you can see a professor advocating for the beheading of someone for blasphemy,(ideology) overrides education.

Selfish interest is not what calls for cessation, just take a look at Nigeria, a region rejected a president who destroyed a country for 8 years, they rejected him twice, they also rejected another one currently destroying the country, but yet they also have to go through the challenges of the regions that voted such destruction, it is clear enough.

What each region wants is not the same, I was not secessionist till I saw clearly why Nigeria may never make progress, Ideological conflict, no common goal, the regional wants are like word and opposite.

I gave up on the unity of Nigeria, mind you as an Igbo man I supported Buhari in 2015, at the time I felt he was genuine, only to find out he was all about ideological supremacy, both him and his people, so I fought against his second term.

I just wanted a country that works...
Lol, your point is actually getting clearer.

Religion and your so called ideology isn’t the only reason why people vote, it’s not disputed that religious factor plays it roles!!

This region you are claiming also votes based on the reason why the ones that voted Buhari did!!

You can’t beat down the fact that every region is guilty of this ideology, I hate to see politics that way but you driving it there makes it funny, and I get why you are disputing the education factor. Atiku that this region in question votes for made it clear that he stands with the silly sharia law, so how does that made him different from Buhari? I guess your answer will be because he’s got someone from the region with him which beat back to the ideology that you are referring to..

You see, if you remove the factor of Education from Nigeria system, then every region have this ideology. And the other thing, people don’t just vote because they know what they want, if they vote because of what they want as you claim then no one is guilty of the ideology and no government should be blamed, but people vote based on manifesto, which is the reason why people get disappointed when the candidate they vote for turn around…

And going back to the proof, this region that want to go could have proven it not by making their region unrest to the extent even the people that want to develop it couldn’t stay! You think if the region have a state as strong as Lagos economically, you think they wouldn’t have been seen beyond minority? They have the chance to develop more than other regions, but they couldn’t proof it..

Secondly, you seem not to understand my question, I said; what will make a professor and and Almajiri(unschooled) person from the north choose a Buhari over a Femi Adesina of AFDB?

You didn't even understand the question, what will make a professor and an Almajiri in the north make the same choice of choosing Buhari over a Femi Adesina?
What part of it you don’t understand? We have over 15 million uneducated people in the north, and about 16 thousand professors in the whole of Nigeria, even if they all choose the Femi Adesina guy, their vote won’t still count. And the Almajiris will surely vote for those that won’t get a strict policy that will affect them. Which one of it is an example of the Ibadan cleanliness

Thirdly, Nigeria does not have an ideology, if Nigeria had an ideology, we will not be in conflict, the country would have made far more progress than this, Nigeria temporarily had an ideology only during the military regime and it was military ideology, and that came to an end the moment democracy was restored.

Nigeria has more than 6 ideologies from different regions and some are at conflict with others, what each region wants is not the same, that is like more than 6 people dragging the steering of a moving vehicle to drive his own pattern and direct, of course, that is a recipe for disaster, that is the Nigeria you see today...
Saying Nigeria doesn’t have ideology is obviously an off short btw. Even Almajiris have their ideology, not to talk of those that are literate and those that are educated.
SportsRe: Footballer, Ihotu John Rebecca Kidnapped On Benin Expressway by PolyGamous(m): 4:30pm On Mar 02
Brendaniel:
You are mixing up, Institutions with nationhood, EU, ECOWAS and co are institutions and not a nation, a nation is formed by people who share the same ideology, that's why Nigeria is also not a nation, because we don't share the same ideology.

The countries in EU are mostly nations that are all members of an institution, reason why members can pull out anytime, same with ECOWAS and the rest, so you are mixing things up.

So your answer was clearly out of line...

Thirdly, Nigeria does not have an ideology, if Nigeria had an ideology, we will not be in conflict, the country would have made far more progress than this, Nigeria temporarily had an ideology only during the military regime and it was military ideology, and that came to an end the moment democracy was restored.

And your last paragraph still boils down to ideology, what governs the thoughts of the people, what the people want, it is not really about education, being uneducated doesn't mean you should be dirty.

There are way to change people's ideologies and oe of the best way is to prove to them that the ideology is not beneficial to them.

Human beings naturally go after what they feel is beneficial to them, sometimes you have to show proof, education is good but with proof you have better result, the regions in Nigeria would likely have gone farther than were they are today if they were nations of their own.

Proof would likely have been revealed to every region long time ago
Well, I really don’t want us to drag this further since the conversation isn’t syncing.

People knows what they want, then why should we complain after voting for someone? Why do we need a politician to campaign heavily and often feel convinced?

What I believe education does is changing ideology, education not literacy, I think that is needed to be emphasized. An educated person doesn’t need to be told that his or her is in his hands, and by keeping his or environment clean there will be reduction in exposure to dangerous situations for their health. And about nations coming together, it wasn’t just because they have same ideology and you can be threatened if you choose to pull out of it “case of the Sahel, and Canada at the moment”, they understand the power of working together, and also to be under an umbrella of big power…

Like I said, selfish interests was what calls for pulling out of the nation, if you know you know.. with state policing, I believe we are almost getting to the point of autonomous state. No state governor selection is been influenced by outside state except the people of the state don’t know what they want.

And since you decide not to acknowledge how voting power has affected decisions of politicians in the past, then explain to me why a northern candidate must always be on every party’s candidate?
SportsRe: Footballer, Ihotu John Rebecca Kidnapped On Benin Expressway by PolyGamous(m): 3:12pm On Mar 02
Brendaniel:
You see the problem with people like you, you are not detailed, you think the problem of Nigeria is election, election is a very secondary issue, whether anyone believes they have the number or not is even a c=secondary issue, and I will explain later.

for the Iran/Israel war and the Europe countries, I only used that to show you how ideologies shape people decision making not politics, you are so focused on the poltical side of things that you miss the main points.

The 2 paragraphs I wrote up there are still linked to show you it has nothing to do with politics or education but Ideology, let me ask you a question, what will make a professor and and Almajiri(unschooled) person from the north choose a Buhari over a Femi Adesina of AFDB?

If you can answer this correctly then I will take you seriously...
Now, let me answer you realistically.
Professors might vote for Femi Adesina, but in entire Nigeria regions all the professors we have are not up to the Almajiris in the north alone..

People’s decision making and Ideology is mostly shaped by education and exposure. I don’t want to break down so many things about the small countries in Europe and the Iran’s matter. But, if the so called small countries in Europe could do everything to come together under the flag of EU, then it screams a lot.

If being a small country is the economic and development solutions, there won’t be EU, ASEAN, UN, AU, UAE, ECOWAS, and other unions that brings sovereign countries together to share rules.

When I say Nigerians ideology, about their power and contribution to the Nation is vote got us here, I know what I am saying. Politicians stopped being accountable, and all they do is to please the populations (uneducated) that get them what they want. Every nations have their weaknesses though, U.S. will do so much to favor their capitalist than the masses in every policy it makes. We as a nation need to realize so much that we are not looking at.

Ibadan is dirty, which is obviously littered by the masses, it will be hard for governor to make a policy that restricts them from littering the city because of the fear of opposition coming to campaign with that policy “by, maybe telling them it’s the duty of the governor to keep the city clean, not the masses”, that should tell you what I meant by our education level.

Brendaniel:
That's a very big lie, If you have not still seen that Nigeria's major problem is ideological conflict, then you are very far from reality, education is not Nigeria's problem , that is why it is looking like a waste of time to you.

Because your eyes have not opened yet or you chose not open it,

Just take a look at the regions, if you still can't state what the regions want as at now then you missed a whole lot of indicators...

Take for instance, Israel and Iran are fighting, the Islamic north are carrying Iran flag and burning Israel and USA flag, in the south east they are carrying Israel flag and USA flag in support.

Are these not 2 different countries in one?

I'm even going far, what about picking leaders?

If religion and tribe is still a yardstick to get support in certain regions then it already tells you what those regions want.

What the regions in Nigeria want individually is not the same because we don't reason alike, our ideologies are not the same, this is not about education, that is why you can see a professor in the north supporting shariah and a professor in south supporting a person who had no childhood record...

Democracy exposed the fault lines of Nigeria, military government was what kept the country this long also with some level of peace because it suppressed all the ideologies, but democracy gave room for those ideologies to blossom, and the Nigeria you see today is the result...

It is easier to manage people who share similar or closely related ideologies than to mage people with far opposing ideologies...

You think Europe has small small countries for no reason...
Well, you just proven my view of Education of the country being a waste. The Iran example you gave shows you only follow the breeze, and Europe having small small countries is another example. So, because the U.S. parties have different racial mindset, the country should split into two?

Extensive reading will actually solve all this, Nigerians as a whole were made to believe the only power they’ve got is votes, making some parts feel the power lies with them and some feels they are minority. And if you fail to admit that there won’t be even more break away after the regional splits, then you are just ignorants of the signs, but will only realize when wonders start showing up.

I’m not against splitting, but it’s obviously not the solution to the backward mentality average Nigerians have!!
SportsRe: Footballer, Ihotu John Rebecca Kidnapped On Benin Expressway by PolyGamous(m): 2:07pm On Mar 02
Brendaniel:
if you are right, More reason why the country should divide, must we stay together and keep fighting?
Well, if you ask me. That doesn’t sound like a solution because even within the regions, there are more differences, I feel our education has been waste for not being able to live together “my view”, seeing our votes as the only power we have got us here. India, Russia, USA, and China are more diverse than we are here in Nigeria.

It’s just my view anyways, politicians we do all to please voters, which is one scary thing I felt when all candidates campaigned to removed subsidy.

Brendaniel:
This is the Nigeria of some people dreams, if you a Tinubu supporter, this is what you want for Nigeria

May she be found safe and returned on time
I really wish this problem is what the government and army alone can solve..

We are divided as a nation and it is the main reason why it’s all going like this and why the government and the army will never be able to stop it alone without people’s cooperation.

Someone that was kidnapped once said his experience, “how people in an environment they were kept keep coming around to inform kidnappers about police patrols, we’ve seen cases where family members went to strike deal with thugs to kidnap their relatives so then can share money, we have seen silly cases where tribes are shielding their people that are causing unrest in regions. Peace and stability is what people should chase, not just money “it will only cause us more disasters”.

Bomb terrorists today, then you will start hearing threats of not voting. Obi supported Nnamdi Kanu, which means if he becomes a president, he will neglect all unrest caused by him. Atiku deleted his post that condemns the lynching of Deborah in the north, which means he will never attend to such occurrence if he gets to the seat and definitely, the cry for sharia law will be heard and fulfilled.

As far as politicians believes their main achievement is votes, then they will never do what is right!!!

But here is a Nigerian, who has chosen to throw every historical proof to the wind all in the name of fitting his narrative and deep hatred for Israel.

"Palestine" that never existed until the ROMANS gave the entire land the name after conquering and chasing the Jews away from it!

Even as at 1948 during the first Arab/Israeli war, NOBODY was referred to as a "Palestinian", they were all either JEWS or Arabs, until Yasser Arafat came up with that stupid ideology for political gain, and people like you have been forced to sink such non-existing entity into your souls😅😅..

That was what Hitler thought too. They lost far more people and equipments in WW2 but came out as a world superpower, before the cold war.

The Russians can burn their entire capital just to win a war. They've done it before.

Russia that they thought they could weaken has driven them out of Africa and has joined forces with China.

NATO's greatest mistake. 2 US president's have admitted this.

Draining tactic are for countries that import everything they use.

Russia exports food, oil, gas, military equipments, resources, satellites, heavy machinery, chemicals, rare earth, aircrafts, you name it.

There's nothing Russia needs that it has not produced domestically.

It seems you've forgotten about the Soviet union very quickly.
They intended to drain Russia, but they are actually the one getting drained..

Marco Rubio actually changed my thought about Russia when he gave a speech at the Munich conference, labeling them as the main threat that made western colonization stopped. U.S. would have continued where the British stopped, but the fact that they know Soviet Union is in a corner that can challenge them, they tried to challenge the Soviet Union using neo colonialism (democracy majorly, and religion). Another documentary of an American professor about how Africa drained the Soviet Union too made me realized why Russia is actually enemy, and understand totally why China is becoming the new enemy because it’s offering more that could drive civilization faster in regions they want to remain as third world.

Well, roads will be celebrated even in the western word in 2037, China’s belt and road is a big project and undoubtedly a great achievement which means building Road is a great development..

And for the power, expecting only government to be the only player generating the power the people need is just what won’t make any difference in the sector, if investors see power generating worth investing compared to selling Off grid supplies maybe it will be better. I know you might hit at policy, but we all know that will be harsh on those that has invested heavily in this businesses…

Peter Obi couldn't do something like this in Anambra because he was too demented. In his mind, what Anambra people needed was to get high with beer.
I think Lagos continuous governance by a party made them achieve so much than other states, most states had that issue “when there’s change of party” there’s always shift.

Oyo state progress too “in peace keeping and infrastructure” was because GSM didn’t put aside major projects by his predecessor.

My question is this.
Why do Muslims hate christians so much.
We have passed the era of muhammed.
It should be humanity first before religion
The main question is “why do Jews, Christians, and Muslims hate eachother?”…

This 3 religions has one lineage, but hate to coexist, the Christians states “US and Europe” will spend so much to sponsor radical Islamist to paint the religion bad, the Jew will do everything to infiltrate the Christians religion and teaching.

I don’t blame them, but the people that took a government system as their religion!!! They know how much that is generated from people because they are religion..

I think Religion “churches, mosques, synagogues” should be controlled by the government not private!!

Unfortunately on this site it is used to justify mistresses and cheating around on the part of men
That is rubbish though, the world is becoming dangerous on a daily as most kids grows up without a father figure in their lives. That tells so much the big problem of cheating and having mistresses.

A man that can’t marry a lady shouldn’t just Bleep around with one, even the westerners that made immorality and culture are getting the backlash now, as the appetite for sex keeps growing like a wide fire, leading to pedophile issues “because when your sexual appetite is so much than you can afford, you move to the vulnerable ones”.

Man is polygamous in nature , not necessarily polyamorous…

Should have made myself clear....this 'polygamy' is the one where a guy sleeps with many women without marrying them first and then not taking care of the products because 'men are polygamous'.
Use of world sometimes has led so many people to misunderstanding. Polygamy is literally a custom which means marrying multiple wives and not flirting around like a dog just as the westerners.

When they say man is polygamous in nature, it means he is capable of being a husband of multiple wives not having mistresses and cheating around!!

If this policy is passed here, it will be a big opportunity for the opposition, because the mass wont be in support of this..

Protests will start with “there’s no job in the country” or “before you get them off the streets, you should provide shelter for them”. A nation that always find so many reasons to justify rubbish will find it hard to grow..

Yahoo has turned great minds into limited folks, yet people will justify it.
