Well, Government alone doesn’t provide electricity in the western world, and by conducive environment I wish I know what you are referring to. People over there respect policies and are educated enough to know what is right.. let the government roll out some harsh policies that will make environment great and see how people threaten of not voting or even see an opposition campaign to reverse it “an example is a government arresting people for littering places”. Most people felt bad about subsidy removal but no one raised a voice for subsidy to be redirected to productions. Only here in Africa, we want consumption to be subsidized. And for rural development, I guess you are not familiar with the so call west…. ufotunang: |
ufotunang:We largely forget that people build nations, if the people are great then the politicians will automatically be great. People “capitalist” builds western world that you admire, not just their government. Policies are often made to protect capitalists, as they are believed to be the ones that will offer what the people needs.. Imagine estates in Nigeria follow the plans, contribute to build their estate roads and drainages, give construction jobs to professionals and not cheap amateurs.. Democracy comes with prices, and it is the literally the people |
KingOfAmebo:There’s more to it than just making China manufacturing hub of United States, it wasn’t meant to be a good gesture, the greatest nation of the world are running away from industries being built on their land as they believed it’s absolute pollution, they never expect China to be as lucrative as it is, not even to lead in green energy, they expected to be like India “polluted with harmful fog”. You need more energy to become an industrial hub, it harmed the UK, and U.S. doesn’t want to make the mistake, nuclear power could have been a way ahead, but the nuclear accident made them pause. Shifting industries to China wasn’t a favor, China just turned it to be. Trump’s “Drill baby Drill” tells you so much and him chanting to neglect globalization screams too |
udemzyudex:Yes, but the items it exports to them which other country can produce as much as the U.S. want to consume? Market should be a free place, China was buying soybeans that obviously Brazil could supply as much as the U.S. but because of mutual benefit, China chooses to buy more from the states. And now, it has shifted totally to Brazil. Canada felt the heat very early with the canola seed. |
Fiscus105:Well, the kind of person you are screams from your comments.. Arguing with a liability is nothing but a waste. Enjoy your life. |
Fiscus105:Lol, coming from a woman that want his husband to shoulder all bill without contributing anything, not even support to her woman development. You wouldn’t care so much about second wife if you are not a leach |
Patiks:I understand you, it’s just something that exists. The Muslims will also against what you feel about them, it’s just funny. |
LordviccoDaGuru:Not soft hand like Obi’s or that of Jonathan? |
Codes151:Right, but I don’t know why I feel reciprocating tariffs is a needed act, since the country imposing tariffs will be the one to feel the hit “as goods imported into the nation increases, as importers pay more”. But, maybe their market is so great, that everyone pleads to have their products there. |
As far as the masses refuse to understand the concept of polygamy, the world will be filled with so many single mothers, bunch of side chicks, and metric tons of mistresses.. And if the men too only see polygamy as a concept to satisfy their sexual appetite, then the world will be filled with so many unhealthy marriages, depressed men, and stray kids.. Polygamy isn’t evil, it’s for growth and world balance.. marriage is not all about sex if you ask me! |
Incognito403:Still baffles me how confident each religions are confident, that they are not the one supporting idols, mean while; Traditional beliefs there’s only one God that could be reached through his blessed ones (orisa) Jews claim only one God, and since he revealed himself to Moses, then no other Abrahamic religion prophets are worthy, and that he can be debated by the Rabbis. Christians believe God came down to reveal his power to the people he created by coming as Jesus, and only through Jesus can HE be reached. Islam, the last born of the Abraham religion, claims Jesus was only a prophet like him and the other prophets that came before him. Everyone, especially the Abraham’s religious looks at others like infidels and pagans even within their cycle (Jews see Christians as human worshippers, Christians sees Jews and Muslims as the lost ships that refused to see the light, and Muslims believe Christians worships multiple God) |
Kukutente23:Like I said earlier, laws by government related to economy are influenced by capitalists. Once you know this then you know peace. An instance of it is what’s going on in the United States, tariffs ain’t for the people of the nation, but to protect the capitalist interests and Huawei wasn’t sent out of the states because of the quote they made you believe “national security”. Capitalist are the heart of capitalism economy!! Wars are fought in their interest, if oil giants in US refused to invest in Venezuela, the invasion turns out to be a waste.. Don’t be deceived by “government controls capitalist’,even the tax payers even though they are not as influential as the main capitalist can influence policy because they have contributions in the economy |
Levels1:Misplaced priorities?? But you will condemn the state for smelling, the story of “the man and his child with their camel” is referring to Nigerians. Especially those that are affiliated to politics. People that want changes, but criticize policies and implementation, “they want a clean nation, but won’t stop littering and messing up the city” and “revolts when there is policy to achieve their dream” |
Kukutente23:I guess you wanted to ask “who influences policy?”. Maybe if you study the US “the model of democracy” well, you will understand so well that capitalists interests are the top priority. |
ChybuzzDD:Well, it matters so much, though my view to it is not the superstitious thoughts of people bringing you down or that of the landlord having skeleton in their cupboard, but environmental impacts on individual growth. Power supply, road networks, mindset of people in the environment, and goods and services availability in the area, all this stuffs contributes immensely to one’s growth |
Kukutente23:There’s a reason the economy of democracy is tagged as capitalism…. |
Kukutente23:Well, if you are some where thinking only the government (federal or state) can solve the power problem of a democratic and populous nation like Nigeria, then you really need to scrap your education “if you are educated”. I just hope it doesn’t take too long before they stop fooling the gullible ones like you, just the way they came out recently about NNPC. Nigerians are communists minded “wanting government to solve problems”, but scream every day to be democratic.. |
SmartPolician:APC taking you backward, or you refuse to grow?! Moniepoint and other innovative technologies didn’t wait for APC, na you go school to seek job from Government, not to add value to the economy. Stop blaming Government “be it APC, PDP, or ADC” for the country not developing!!!!! It’s 2026 already, and you are still with the 1990 mindset |
billgabb:Name three major projects completed after the military rules… If he is the most useless, name the useful president that have the gut to pull the strings that the elites are attached to. Still baffles me how the masses fight against what the elites benefits the most from.. Educated people protesting over subsidies on consumption and not fighting for subsidies on production… Education wasn’t scam, the educated are! |
franchasofficia:A slave will forever choose to be slave, even after freedom is offered!!! USA would have still been under GB if they think like you just did |
OredoPikin2:Make bad roads serve new airports? When budget is out, being transparent with it doesn’t guarantee that they won’t steal money, the hope is that, they should execute the projects. Nigeria is due for new projects and innovations, all that won’t be done by saving money!! |
SadiqBabaSani:This mentality stinks, to stop the politicians from embezzling, you think all projects should be left undone, how will the country grow to the nation you want the nation to be? If dem do, they want to steal If dem no do, they are embezzling |
Druss:Right, before Christ it has been to live by the will and commandment of God, but after Christ, it was preached that he took all our sins, not the past but eternal. That’s what got me baffled, because this is the reason why some people are ruthless, because they believe they will be forgiven. |
Thought Jesus died for the sins of born again, every thing they do shouldn’t be counted as sins…. Sin should not exist again |
The way the south is merging under APC, I’m convinced a SE or SS president might emerge after Tinubu. Expanding the margin from just North and South to North, North Central, South West, and South East |
I think APC is the one doing coalition, not ADC |
EponObi:This actually makes me think “heaven and hell fire will have branch for each religion”, because I really don’t understand why some people will be looking at eachother like that. Some people remain poor because they believe the heaven wealth is better than that of here, and yet we all want economy to grow bigger. |
RaySimran:Lol, I knew this is coming… it’s a playbook, just funny how the people of the nation fell for it.. The ISIS that was armed and backed by the US to takeover a regime, it is now an enemy… Take it or leave it, the greater Israel map will be achieved easily and I don’t think that’s far away. Na the one eye messiah Israel is expecting be the only suspense we never know.. hope the Muslim and Christians are ready for the long waited anti christ they’ve been waiting for? |
malali:I agree with you on encouraging competition for him, but I am never a fan of settling for importation. Our power sector is this bad because we gave room for importation, making investors feel so reluctant in investing in power generations like “nuclear, turbines, or even getting more dams to generate hydro electricity”, e no pain you when South Africans mocked us as generator nation? I feel we should encourage more people to invest in the sector “build refineries (not compulsory as big as Dangote’s)” such competition will make our economy grow big and trust me creates definitely more jobs for the people of the nation. Places where we are importing from gets to create more jobs for their people, we’ve hit paradox of plenty because of the importation. We need more competitions, not more importation.. We all blame the government for not making policy that encourages local manufacturing, and here we are arguing about the government not letting importers import more. Let them be shut out of importation, they won’t want to now for Dangote, make dem gather money buy the NNPCL refinery or do a PPP thing to get it running to compete with him, then it will be a healthy competition, trust me boss. |
malali:Lol, it is the absolute step for players that have no competition. Everyone will do that when they find themselves in an industry with no competition. The marketers of this petroleum products has been doing this for long time, even claiming subsidies from the government beyond what they have in their depot. When Dangote met bigger player in noodles, where is he now. I believe the new policy might force some rich individuals to rush into starting industries which I believe might let Nigerians witness what competition truly looks like. You think Nepa will still be showing us shege if there’s competitions? We all see what happened to MTN when GLO check mated am then. |
malali:Braaaa…. Was Dangote the only one that benefited from the subsidized dollar? You forgot airpeace also benefited and so many Nigerians that did arbitrage with it!? I will keep saying this for those that are not uneducated literates, there’s no monopoly in Nigeria, we just don’t have investors. You all watch and hail America government for putting tariffs on imported products all because they want the population to prioritize buying their own, watched and praised them when they tagged products as threat all because it’s making big waves in their country than indigenous products “that was not monopoly but art of trade?” Nigeria will be great when our institutions produce more educated students than literates that only knows how to cram but understand nothing. |
Before the App Store, your iPhone was just a random phone. The iPhone 3G revolutionized everything. It wasn’t just about faster 3G internet or the new curved plastic back. It was the launch of the App Store. On July 11, 2008, the iPhone transformed into a platform. It transformed your pocket into a gaming console, a social hub, a productivity suite, and so much more. This marked the beginning of the smartphone revolution we experience today. Click https:///48jD1bq to see how it compared with the first iPhone.
