he made the plan about 2years ago almost wen he started building the refinary in Lagos as at dat time no crude has been seen in lagos. so he can't just back down from the investment he made to transport crude from Niger Delta. cuz the crude oil in Lagos was just seen may diz year.. don't know au far he has gone on the pH pipe work though but I know definitely he will now b having a second thought cuz of the expenses.

Fact is,no investor would locate his investment where the safety is not guaranteed, and no government would put an infrastructure in a place where its going to be blown up.

To add to that, it is also deliberately located seaside to enable exportation of refined products to other parts of the world.

One would expect that the oil producing states in Nigeria would be happy that they not only get 13% derivation from crude that is sold as export, but also on crude that is sold to Nigerian refineries to produce derivatives consumed both locally and internationally.

If Dangote and others can make Nigeria a petroleum refining hub for the rest of the world, the likes of Akwa Ibom, Delta or Ondo states could earn more money from 13% derivation from crude being refined for local sale and export, than what they currently earn on crude just exported as raw material.

Crudeoil can be bought anywhere. Its an international commodity. The refinery is not even upto 1kilometer from a deep sea. Anywhere he is buying , he is going to pay! And when you are to buy petrol , you are going to pay also, so stop being stupid and myopic
