The Federal Government has given reasons for the delay in the payment of October salaries to some civil servants, assuring that necessary steps have been taken to resolve the matter.
Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoCSF), said the delay was due to the fact that the 2021 budget was passed before the conclusion of negotiation on the recurrent expenditure and its consequential adjustment.

In a statement issued by Mrs Olawunmi Ogunmosunle, Director of Information, Office of the HoCSF, Yemi-Esan further explained that a lump sum was, however, provided in the 2021 budget for recurrent expenditure and its consequential adjustment.

The HoCSF also disclosed that a committee, made up of representatives of the Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, the Budget office and the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, had been set up to determine the shortfalls of Ministries, Extra-Ministerial Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
“The shortfalls are to be paid from the lump sum already set aside in the budget for the recurrent expenditure and its consequential adjustment.
“The committee is expected to conclude its work by the end of next month so that salaries can be paid.
While appreciating civil servants for their patience, the HoCSF said she is in touch with the Director General, Budget Office, who assured that salaries will be paid by the end of next month.

If you have gotten appointment letter you better lay low. I am a Federal Staff myself working in one of the Agencies.

For job slots the issue with it is there are Agencies giving appointment letters and there are the ones starting recruitment, note the difference between the two.

The one giving appointment letter if you have a slot the person will get the appointment letter within 1 month, but the one doing recruitment if you have a slot it will take time because till the recruitment process is concluded that's when appointment letter will come out. And you can't fast forward it because you're not the only one that will be recruited example is the immigration, Customs Civil defence that's ongoing.


People are getting appointment letter, I have been running job slots for people. It's just of recent I brought it on nairaland. So I'm not new to the game.

Hungry people run payment before appointment letter, and the process of recruitment taking time most that paid money may start insulting. So I avoid it completely.

Payment after or before appointment letter either might be genuine depending on who is running it.

She did not leave d station after noticing the scam the pump boy did.

Immediately she left the fuel station with her car, she has killed the evidence she would have use in court.

Leaving the fuel station with the pos she disrupted their sales for that day, tarnishing the image of the fuel station in front of other customers, calling the fuel attendant a thief. The damages for that if she if found guilty in court would be much, she can sell whatever she drove without meeting up the payment.

I bought 5k fuel and the guage didnt move, and the foolish boy claimed my fuel guage is faulty.. And u think court wont call a technician to confirm if its faulty or yet still bring down the tank and check whether the fuel inside is up to the volume i bought?

if you're using your brain , you will know since she left the station with the car, the fuel attendant will say she has removed the fuel from the car tank.

What she did if the fuel station follow her up she will land in trouble, she acted foolishly.

You for no move your car there, you go enter problem.

If they had followed you and said you stole their pos machine, street boys seeing you with the pos when you're caught might burn you alive inside that car.

Now you can't prove that he didn't sell 5k fuel to you because you left with your car from their fuel station.

How would they know it's Salary? Because I am not using the same bank accounts and at no point did they ask us to submit BVN. Does that mean you can't receive any other income as a government worker?

Also, it's not that I don't go to work or something. My name has always been on the attendance sheet since I resumed and I close at the right time. I have never missed work even for a single day

just lazy to type but I will reply, in the case of my colleagues they stop their salaries, our Agency brought a consulting firm to check any staff that is receiving salary from different places. It they were call to report to the panel that it was noticed that they work in a different place though it's private.


So now if it has not happened to anyone that means your Agency doesn't care to check.

The truth is that if you work with Federal government and you have a private job you are receiving money using your bank account, you will be fished out. Depending on the Agency, there always bring a consulting firm that will check those that are collecting salary from other places.

If you work with a private firm make sure your money is paid cash not through the bank. Once they noticed you work in another place they will stop your salary.

I am not saying you must pay money to get jobs, no.

Those in Abuja here, if you go to FG Agency and ask that you heard from someone that they are recruiting what is always the answer?

Jobs that the recruitment process is fair is a private company job.

FG jobs are not like University addmission that you write aptitude test and pass then you start. Even those that advertise FG recruitment and people write the test only do so as formalities, only those that got the job knows how they got it.


Informations that are dropped here can enable someone to get an FG job sure, but how many people have gotten a job here from the information dropped?

If recruitment comes up in an Agency, and it's thrown open most of the people that will be employed are relatives and friends of the staff of that Agency no outsider.

When last did CBN employ? But new staff are given Apl almost on monthly basis.

Most people here don't have the cash to pay for slots that's my observations.

Most are waiting for a person that will link them to a free slot which is not available.

I see people here quoting people for free slots it will never happen.

The only way to get a free job from FG is to have a link to an agency that is recruiting and you go there and find your way to meet those incharge. Possibly the DG of that agency. Note before you can have access, you will have an insider that will make it easy for you esle you won't be granted access to enter the premises.

An Agency will be recruiting even a staff there will not know because they don't advertise the positions.

If you don't have a big man that is willing to help you get a job free then have money. That's what I can say.

The only thing IPPIS does is that it prevents you from taking double salary from the federal government. You can work with the federal government and private firm comfortably if you can cope. You can even work with federal and state government if you have the connection. But you can't get salary from two federal agencies. So you have nothing to worry about if you can cope.
