I was driving close to house and the temperature guage went. I stopped and check the fan was not working. The next day the fan was changed and as I was driving back the temperature went up again. I called the mechanic he said the gasket is burnt. The gasket was changed yet the overheating persisted. I have washed the radiator yet the overheating is still there. But one thing I noticed is that the engine might not physically be hot but the temperature will go up and the coolant reservoir will be bubbling. Please some should help.

A good start will be telling us your car's make, model and year. Have you scanned the car? Don't do blind fixing cause you will get tired of buying parts, especially in this hash economy.

Hope you haven't removed your thermostat cause that will be the beginning of the end of your sweet ride.

I have actually and there wasn't any difference in performance (not a performance boost anyway). But I feel the shifting is a lot smoother now(maybe it's in my head).

I've gotten a transmission overheating warning one time I drove it too hard for too long, I hope to drive it in a similar fashion someday and see if that message comes up again. But yeah, heat is the #1 enemy of automatic transmission

The cooler was connected in series with the OEM transmission cooler

Yeah it was until after the second purchase I noticed the part number was wrong,
The ones I keep getting seems to be too big for my mirror shell.
They mostly sell part number 39850533 which has a shorter side marker compared to mine which is longer.
My own part number is 39853091 which mostly usually comes in silver color only from factory.


Reminds me,have you also tried the smoked side markers mod?

The led upgrades aren't even for that at all but mostly for sweet aesthetics

Sometimes at night,before approaching my vehicle,I just use fob to switch puddle lights some distance away,it usually always stands out

Funny story,

I parked my Volvo last month in an open space in lagos,a xc 90 parked 2 Corollas away from me,after the function we all got to our cars,only the Volvos were able to start,apparently thieves have done there thing on both corollas,brain box stolen,the volvos were ignored
I think you also once mentioned similar experience while your Corolla was broken into,

Those things are so easy to penetrate no pun intended

Bingo!! Police also doesn't stop me while in the volvo, though they rarely do even with the lexus. When I installed car tracker for my volvo, even the installer himself was telling me that I am wasting my money But I did that out of shock of what happened to my corolla. Volvo comes with tight security from factory, and being a rare vehicle, it is not a thief magnet. Where will the thief sell the parts? Who will buy? Come to think of it, any thieve that collects this my volvo will be tracked down easily cause in the whole Abuja, I think I am the only one that has white 2015 s60 t6 R-design, I stand to be corrected though.

The Volvo is very touchy, and I love it . I am always grounded so I don't normally drive at night, I rarely do actually. I will definitely consider the mod. Is your ride Volvo? I must admit that I searched for that mirror cover all over the internet and didn't find it, it just miraculously popped up in my aliexpress and I cupped it immediately. Share your ride so we can find a fitting one together.

Yes, it made a huge difference. I normally don't use the volvo in the night because of the headlamps but now, even SUVs are afraid of me

I'm looking at getting an MDX but the issue of premium fuel is giving me second thoughts.

It requires premium fuel, unfortunately and your concern is very valid. However, the s60 t6 is not a stressed engine, unlike the turbos in benz and bmw that tries to squeeze all the juice from the engine.

The MDX is a solid machine and you won't have issues with using regular fuel here, many people are using it and it is not in our list of problematic cars You will only sacrifice some portion of the performance (the road won't allow you anyway).

Let us do some light upgrade for the white guy
