Do you use fast charger on the regular?
Sorry for late reply. I only started using it over a month ago. I am currently using the stock charger now.

Hmm. The highest my battery has ever gone down overnight is 2%, and it happens occasionally.
Before it goes down maximum of 3%, but now minimum of 10%

Couldn't agree more. My own 1 year anniversary will be due in less than 3 months. RN5pro is a real machine in any sense possible. Will not be looking at any other device at least for the next 2 or 3 years. Now before you start thinking "it's not possible" or "we'll see about that when a better phone at a cheap price comes up", I used my Galaxy s4 for 4 years and 3 months before I sold it. Yes, you read that correct. What's the point of getting a new device when the one you've serves you PERFECTLY?
Happy anniversary @queenfav.
Make me sef join the anniversary train. I bought my RN5 from macbeyland last year. Can't remember the month though, either October or November sha. The phone still serves me well, but my battery drain almost 15% overnight. I suspect the new fast charger I am using cos this started last month or d month b4. I am back to d stock charger but d battery still drain the same way now. I will probably upgrade to N9 or N10.

Still doesn't match up completely. With button short cut or quickball, I can lock the screen without returning to homepage. With these launchers, I'll have to return to homescreen before I can lock screen
If u use Nova launcher prime, u can double tap at the status\notification bar to lock your screen from any app.

Mine is a little different from yours. Maybe it's a different version.
It's the same version. Are you on MIUI ROM? Try flashing the full ROM first, maybe u will get the option if you're using MIUI.

How did you flash Orange recovery? Did you flash twrp first and then used it to flash Orange recovery?
maclawrence02
Actually I flashed redwolf recovery through ADB cos twrp keep giving error when I tried flashing it in fastboot mode. Then I flash twrp using redwolf. But then twrp kept encrypting my data after every reboot, so I flashed orangefox recovery using twrp.

Are you sure about this?
I have orange fox recovery installed but couldn't update after downloading the incremental update through the updater app while I was on stock miui, i had to manually download and install. Is there a specific settings b4 I can achieve this? Though I've moved to miui.eu, I didnt bother to use the updater app when I got an update. I just manually downloaded and update.
Did u try changing the settings in the recovery?

Acknowledged. By the way, I need some clarification on this pls. I went to setting>About phone>System update and saw 531mb. But when I went further to "Download latest packages", I was 1.7gb. Pls can you shed more light on the difference?
I typed everything before but it got wiped off by my browser. Had to type again.
Try clearing the updater cache. Then check for update, the size should revert back to 531mb.

When you changed regions did get update for your OS afterwards (maybe as at then, it had some features India region had that your former region didn't) ?
Mostly I download the updates from MIUI website. If I download it from update in settings, it won't install with twrp, it always says error installing or file corrupted. So I usually download the full ROM then flash. But with orange fox recovery, I can now install incremental updates.

Which region are you using?
Indian region. The downside I have with this region is the music app showing me video adverts even after turning off recommendation in settings.

Nova launcher can make your phone sleep by double tapping, likewise pocco launcher by Xiaomi.

Great. Thanks to all those that protested. grin
One feature I'll love to see in their next update is having a section in my page (themes) where we can access downloaded fonts. Also, if we can have a button to toggle between front camera and back camera while doing video recording.
Downloaded fonts can be accessed from the page section. The feature is present already.

Modified: u were referring to Nigeria region?

What rom are you on?

You have to factory reset from twrp menu

Backup your important stuff to an external drive before proceeding

Boot locker unlocked?
Which ADB version are you using?
Bootloader is unlocked, am able to boot into fastboot mode directly using ADB. I believed I downloaded the latest version from XDA. I hope it has nothing to do with my version of miui 10.3.1?
