Kingjay007: Exactly the point. A state like Cross River makes money from their Obudu Cattle ranch - an amazing sight to behold. If other states step up, especially those in the northeast and north-central, tourism will be boosted. |

Are you searching for updated information on the cost of building 3 bedroom flat in Nigeria? Look no further. This post will enlighten you on the cost of building a flat and the total cost of roofing a 3 bedroom bungalow in Nigeria. Do enjoy. Cost of Building 3 Bedroom Flat in Nigeria – An Introduction Building and roofing a 3-bedroom flat in Nigeria to completion can be quite expensive due to the state of the country’s economy. Therefore, it is important to have an idea of the total costs of completing such a project, so you can prepare your mind and pockets for the job at hand. Structure of a 3-Bedroom Flat in Nigeria A typical 3-bedroom flat in Nigeria is often made up of one master bedroom and two other rooms, as well as other spaces such as the kitchen, balcony, and bathroom/toilet. The master bedroom often comes with its own bathroom/toilet, while the other two rooms will typically share the same bathroom/toilet to manage the cost of the building. Cost of Building and Roofing 3-Bedroom Flat Overview Note: Every estimate made here is based on 2021 market research. Overall, the cost of building and roofing a 3-bedroom flat in Nigeria depends on the specifications of the person providing the funds. Some individuals may want a simple design with simple materials and nothing extravagant, while others might want to go all out to build a high-end structure. So, it depends on how deep your pockets are. Process of Building and Roofing a 3-Bedroom Flat in Nigeria Before thinking of building and roofing a 3-bedroom flat in Nigeria, you must have acquired land on which to build it. The cost of purchasing land in Nigeria varies based on location/environment and size. Purchasing land in developed areas like Lekki, Jahi, Ikoyi, Asokoro, Ajah, Jabi, and other developed/high-class areas of Lagos will cost more than in undeveloped areas in the country. Of course, large pieces of land will cost more than smaller pieces of land in the same area. Depending on the aforementioned factors, purchasing land to build a 3-bedroom apartment in Nigeria may cost anything between 200,000 and 10 million Naira or higher. To make your land purchase legal and to avoid land conflict issues in the future, there are a few documents you must acquire. Documents to Acquire to make your Land Purchase Legal before Building a House in Nigeria Here are the documents: Deed Of Conveyance/Assignment Survey Plan Of The Land Certificate Of Ownership Deed of Lease Deed of Sub-Lease. Land Certificate. Deed of Mortgage. After acquiring land, the main building can then begin. Building Planning and Design This goes without saying, but you can’t just hire bricklayers and other forms of labor to start building without having a well-drafted 3 bedroom flat plan. For this, you will need to hire the services of an architect. The architect will create a three-bedroom flat plan and design that suits your needs, and sometimes, may liaise with a building agency that will provide the required labor and materials to complete your 3bedroom flat. The services of the architect and wages of the laborers may cost anything between 400,000 and 2 million naira. Many architects and architect firms in Nigeria can help you create and design a great building plan for 3 bedrooms flat in Nigeria. Construction of a Three Bedroom Flat After drafting a suitable 3 bedroom bungalow design, now you can move into construction properly. The construction stage is where the abstract ideas and designs of the architect are brought to life. Construction takes many phases which must be done sequentially, and the first of these phases is Foundation Laying (German Floor)/Soak Away. Foundation Laying (German Floor)/Soak Away The recommended practice is to dig the soak-away/septic tank simultaneously while laying the foundation. This way, the sand gotten from digging the septic tank can be used to fill up the foundation, thereby saving costs on buying sand for foundation filling and packing the dug-up soil away. This is a tip for building a 3-bedroom bungalow in Nigeria that no one will tell you. At the end of the day, you will most likely need to buy more sand to complete the foundation filling, but at least it would cost you less. This phase involves digging, concrete work, block setting, and laying, backfilling, and concrete flooring. Related: Construction Companies in Nigeria. Politics / Geopolitical Zones In Nigeria; States, & Ethnic Groups by positiveequator(m): 10:16pm On Feb 22, 2021 |
Do you know Nigerian geopolitical zones and their constituent states? This post covers the geopolitical zones in Nigeria and the states, cities, and ethnic groups that belong to each zone. Let’s get right to it. An Introduction Nigeria is a country that lies on the west coast of Africa. The country stretches from the outskirts of the Sahara Desert in the north to the Gulf of Guinea right on the Atlantic Ocean. The West African country occupies a landmass of about 923,768 square kilometers and has two geographical characterizations in landforms; the lowlands and the highlands. While the highlands mostly cover locations in the Southeast, Cross Rivers State, core north, and north-central, the lowlands cover areas in the northwest, northeast, and most places in the south. Historical background of the Geopolitical Zones in Nigeria Nigeria was formed with the amalgamation of the northern and southern protectorates in 1914, by the then colonial government, headed by Lord Luggard. The entity grew in all facets, while the nationals earnestly sought independence. Mr. Bernard Bourdillon, the then Governor-General, started the concept of federalism in Nigeria, as he divided the country into three provinces in 1939. In the year 1960, Nigeria gained independence from British colonial rule. By this time, Nigeria, as a Federal State had three regions; East, West, and North. Following independence in 1960, there were a series of military coups, rulers, and administrations, and one of the most popular of the leaders is General Sani Abacha. Nigeria was divided into six geopolitical zones in 1993, during the General Abacha-led military regime. Geopolitical zones The nation’s resources were to be allocated according to these zones with the quota system. The zones are believed not to be entirely based on geographic positions; the individual states’ predominant ethnic groups were also considered. The zones’ formation was also aimed at properly distributing the various states, based on their geopolitical divisions. Nigeria Geopolitical Zones; States, Predominant Ethnic Groups and Resources Nigeria is made up of thirty-six states and six geopolitical zones. 1) North Central Geopolitical Zone This zone is also called the Middle Belt. It is a region that stretches longitudinally through Nigeria’s central part, constituting a movement zone between its southern and northern parts. This is one of the smallest of Nigeria’s geopolitical zones and is characterized by a diversity of ethnic groups, with none being the dominant group. States in the North Central Geopolitical Zone States in the Middle Belt include; Kogi Kwara Benue Niger Plateau Nassarawa Popular Cities in the North Central Geopolitical Zone The famous cities in this zone include; Abuja Jos Lafia Lokoja Makurdi Ilorin and Minna. Ethnic Groups in North Central (Middle Belt) Though this region has no dominant ethnic group, it has different ethnic groups including; Yoruba Gbagy Mangu Berom Tiv Nupe Igala Idoma Mada-Eggon, and Gwandara. 2) North East Geopolitical Zone Before the creation of the zones, there was an area called the North-Eastern State. The area occupies almost one-third of the nation’s total landmass and has most of the mountains in Nigeria. However, on the 3rd day of February 1976, the North-Eastern State was broken down to Borno, Gongola, and Bauchi states. In the preceding years, there were more divisions, which then gave rise to the six states that currently make up the country’s north-east geopolitical zone. States in the North-East The states in North East are: Continue Reading here https://informationtoknow.com/geopolitical-zones-in-nigeria/ |
