I currently got a job opportunity in Ilesha, a 6 digits paying job.

Also Ilesha is just like 15minutes drive from my home town also. (Erin Ijesha)

I have lived and worked in lagos all my life, but I have never lived in Ilesha before except on visits. I am also tired of lagos hustle and bustle, its even affecting my health, as I had to start using my car for uber/bolt services after loosing my bank job few years ago, and its telling on my health seriously now.

I am a family man and my wife is so ready to relocate with me as she is also tired of lagos, even though she's a civil servant, but we're looking at getting a lecturing job for her in one of the federal polythecnics.

I need advices from people based over there. Standard of living, cost of renting apartments(preferably a nice 2bed apartment) current electricity situation and general living conditions.

I will appreciate any contributions..

Decent Two bedrooms flat should be around 75k to 150k, depends on your choice. Cost of living in Ilesha should be lower than that of Lagos for sure, transport, foods and other essential commodities should be lower than that of Lagos., Ilesha can be compare with Ibadan in terms of standard of living and price of commodities. There is a good electricity supply in the town but it depends on the location. Ilesha is very peaceful, you will love it there.

BTW,I am from Ilesa but I live in IB, My Mom is from Erin Oke.

OH Yes, My Mom is from Adepetu family in Erin Oke but my Dad is from Ilesha township, his ancestors came from Atakumosa East LG, I am full blooded Ijesha.

Op., you go furck Ilesha girls, you go tire. Dem cheap pass pure water. Just buy them fish and small stout, and with your car +apartment, U r good to go. They have a college at ijebu ijesha road, girls yapa there. If u want uni girls, go to OAU Ife which is just 12minutes drive from Ilesha. If u want ashana, go to fryo hotel wey dey near round about. I left there in 2013, so I am not updated about the place. Like I said, their girls cheap, but be careful o, dem dey use juju hold young men, make dem marry them. Good luck.

with your six digit salary, even if it just 100k, you might never want to go to Lagos again.

You will have your peace mind, sanity, no early morning outing to beat traffic, your kids will not need to be on the road by 6am to go to school.

Ilesha, Ife, Osogbo, with 6 digit salary, you will enjoy your life in any of these places. You should find 2-3 bed room flat for 150k in ilesha.

Just be financially disciplined. Good luck.

There is nothing spiritual about Ilesa, I lived there for 25 years. I was born and brought up in Ilesa. Please go and enjoy your life. With your six digit salary, by this time next year you will have a land and possibly planning to move in. Get apartment in Breweries area, Imo, and those new estate that are very cheap. No traffic, No generator noise . And if you're looking for joints, bar ,lounge ..... Baba Ilesa is the best. Welcome to a new life

No be them say. I live at Sabi irojo, and hardly no place I dont know in dat town. I mingle with locals. Well well and I can tell u this.

Though it's been 9 yrs I left the place.
And probably things might have changed now. I don't know. Probably when non indegenes are living there now.

Then, they never welcome anything good. I'm talking of the ,80s and 90s.

U can abuse me whatever, no place doesn't have its own challenges, but that town needs JESUS.

Ilesha is a good place to live, things are cheap there and there's adequate security. You'll meet people of like minds. I have a property there but it's occupied until December (I'll contact you for more discussion in future if the need arises)

Cooladex, stop over thinking on this issue. Take the job, don't sell your car. Your wife stays back in Lagos for now till you decide if it is right for her to move also.

Even if things don't go as planned, which I dont pray, to go back to Lagos with your car and continue your previous job.

But I see you succeeding in haulage industry, with your years of driving and exposure in Lagos. You might not want to go back to Lagos and that 'lively' lifestyle some lagosians brag about. What they most times tag lively is just streesful lifestyle.
