Good afternoon everyone, I studied business administration and I graduated with a 2:1. Do you think it is reasonable to get a PGD in business analytics ?

It's an ordinary certificate. Getting a school that accepts 3rd class degree for post graduate diploma has proven to fruitless. Please does anyone know of a school that accepts 3rd class for Pgd?

Colleges don't offer PGD to 3rd class rather your best bet is an advanced diploma and you can get approved with a good SOP. I have applied for someone and he got his visa..

Masters and PGD is okay.. As long as you can sell your intentions to the VO and you have experience in the intended course.

Ok,

3rd Class a times is not a barrier to gain admission for a PG program in a college, you just have to package your application to boost your admission chances. A Visa Officer won't agree to the fact u are going for an Ordinary Certificate cos of what u graduated with.

It's a Post Graduate Certificate program in a business related field you are to go for.

Ordinary Certificate is just like Ordinary Diploma,

Interestingly, Colleges in Ontario don't state Grades as Admission Requirements for their PG. Cert programs, their Admission Requirements is mostly on the prior degree of the applicant.

There are colleges in Ontario that accepts 3rd Class, e.g Conestoga College, Cambrian College , they might be more. I have seen two to three people who got admission to the mentioned school with a 3rd Class, but dey packaged their your application to be able to achieve that.

Possible Solution/Way for a 3rd class Graduate to get Admission for a PG. Cert program in a College

What is advisable for a 3rd Class Graduate to do when applying for a PG. Cert program in a college is this,

- Apart from the conventional requirements for Admission which are Transcript & Certificate,
Supporting Documents such as
- Cover Letter for Admission
- Résumé (Canadian Style) can help with your application

a Cover Letter for Admission to a college can go a long way in boosting the admission chances of a 3rd Class degree holder. A cover letter for admission has to be written in a way that can Convince the Admission Committee that u are a good fit for a PG. Cert Program

Most times the COVER LETTER is a supporting document, most esp. if u are applying for admission in a school which requires you to apply on the Ontario College International Portal e.g Conestoga College, Cambrian College, St. Clair college etc.

- Also a RÉSUMÉ , most especially a Canadian Style Résumé can also suffice, it must highlight everything about you ranging from your academics, skill set, professional summary, work experience etc.

You can check out the following programs, check the tuition amount for international student, course outlines etc.

- PG.Cert in International Business Management
Cambrian College, Ontario
https://catalog.cambriancollege.ca/ibgc/

(Note: I don't know if Cambrian college still have Application Fee Waiver. Sometime around January 2019, Cambrian College had an Application fee waiver for international students, in case it is still available your you can give it a trial/shot)

- PG. Cert in Strategic Global Business Management
Conestoga College, Ontario
https://www.conestogac.on.ca/fulltime/strategic-global-business-management

- PG. Cert in Global Business Management
Conestoga College, Ontario
https://www.conestogac.on.ca/fulltime/global-business-management/description?id=22222

Note:
Once you get admission to any of the school above, within 30 days or the deadline given on the admission letter, be ready to pay the tuition deposit to any of the college u wish to attend, failure to that, your admission will be cancelled

Ive successfully gotten 3 admissions with my 3rd degree, 1 iin Conestoga, 1 in Seneca and 1 in University of Calgary, 1 was for masters and 2 were for PGD..I decided to go for the PGD is Seneca because ts the most relevant to what I want to do later. I studied systems engineering but I've been working as a marketing coms professional for the past 7 years, so I base my applications on my work experience

The first thing to do is look for the school u want and course and watch out for when they have open days, join the open days and ask all the questions you might need. You will realise that most 0f the colleges and universities are not that rigid. You can message me if you need help.

Speaking of this 3rd class, nor be say we nor know book o, what we put in for is never what we get, and i had no passion for mine.
anyway, GURU'S in the house, your advise is needed.
I graduated with a 3rd class in Forestry, am 31, i own bussinesses, and in the last couple of months i took an Auxillary nursing job at a nearby clinic which i dont go to always its just to gather experience and packaging for visa application.
i want to go for a carrer change, i feel its time to pursue my passion, my plan is to reloctae to Canada via the student route, i want to study to be Practical Nurse, but first i have to study Pre-Sciences in order to gain admission to the practical nursing program. Pre-Sciences is a one year certifacate course. i intend to sponsor myself
i beg do you think they would give me visa/

How many months experience do you have

Lemme be honest with you.. Applying for pre nursing is going to be difficult to secure admission because its highly competitive. Not saying its not possible but you just need a good cover letter to attach in your application as your transcript isnt related to nursing and also as a few months nursing auxiliary experience isnt strong enough to show real intent.

If you are able to solve this, then come visa a very good convincing sop is your determinant if visa is sure or not

am applying for Pre-Sciences first. Upon completion i would then apply for Practical Nursing. Auxillary experience has been for 5months now
i aslo have prior experience as a volunteer during the COVID

2. Asides bank statement, what other things are required of my sponsor to show proof of funds?
3. Can i have more than 1 sponsor?
4. My school fee is about 12000CAD, how much of CAD should I have as proof of funds?
5. Do i have to pay Tuition before leaving Nigeria?
And what other things/documents should i have before starting my online application?

Passport received.

Sharing my journey to help others.

My first application was refused last year for “purpose of visit...” I requested my GCMS notes and shared it here. VO mentioned my course was unreasonable given my 2’2 undergraduate grade, home ties and also said something about my economic and employment prospects in Canada.

To address the undergrad grade, I attached IT certifications I had taken in the past that were related to my course of study, and I also highlighted (in my LOE) two courses I had taken and passed during my undergrad that were directly related to my proposed course.

For home ties and employment, I added:
- A letter from my church stating that I was a member of the media department.
- A letter from my employer saying they would love to have me back after my studies.
- A letter from my father stating his pastoral role in the church.
- NYSC ppa posting and acceptance letters.
- Sworn affidavit of return and an affidavit from my sponsor(parent) also saying I would return after studies.

Finally, my letter of explanation addressed every single thing the VO mentioned, line by line. I talked about how me graduating with a 2’2 didn’t mean I would not be able to study the course, and that I met all the requirements from my school to be accepted to the program so me having a 2’2 was not a justifiable reason to refuse my application. I also mentioned all the work related projects I had carried out and how I was looking forward to doing more after my studies. (JustMellow and Lekibobe really helped me with my SOP and LOE).

I’m super grateful for this platform and I’m glad I can give back by providing information in my own way.
a big congrats to you bro.it has ended in praise
