ILoveDLord:
Hi. It depends on the employer and their work schedule available for you. For instance, you may sometimes only work 3 days in a week so for that week, you will have an average of 6 hours per day for each of the three days. The schedule may not be fixed. Sometimes you may work 6 days in a week, 3hrs on one day, another 5 hours, 6 hours , even 2 hours and then 3 hours. At the end of the week, you get a maximum of 20 hours. Some weeks you may not even work up to 20 hours, depending on the demand or what is available. Some weeks you might just work a total of 10hours.

Also because the employers know that you are a student, they give you flexibility. So at the beginning of securing the job or even during the interview, they ask you to tell them what days and times you are available to work.

This is from personal experience when I was still studying and working part time here in Canada. I believe others who are studying or studied would agree that that is how it is generally.

Hope this helps

Ok would take note of that

GRACIAS!!!

Hey famos,

My passport was sent to Abuja Ircc for stamping!
I got counterfoil and LOI on March 18th and 19th respectively!

But the passport has not even started its journey back to VFS.

Is it advisable to mail abuja Ircc office to dispatch it?
What is the mail?

They all serve same purpose with different names based on individual preferences.

1. Reference letter,
2. Letter of recommendation and
3. Letter of introduction are the same thing.

You should make sure that your recommendation letter covers important clauses like your job title, salary renumeration, employment start date and your responsibilities in that capacity.

It will end in praise

Thanks so much Frankrobbn1. Have asked sent to HR for modification as some point highlighted wasn captured in the recommendation letter.

Please All,

Am yet to submit my application as am waiting for my passport to reach 6months to expiring so that I can renew before applying.

So please,

1. Can I apply with about to expire passport (just few months left.?

2. Can I book for medicals now as it seems slots for april is almost taken.

3. Do I need passport to book medicals? If yes, can I use about to expire passport to book it or should I wait and renew before booking as Qlife is demanding I pay before the take me to the application form. And being first timer, I don't know if the passport details will be required in the form.

1. Yes. I applied in October 2020 not even realizing my passport is expiring this august. I renewed it last week and I just submitted both(advised by my agent)
2. I'm not sure
3. You don't need it to book for medicals at Q-life. I didn't fill any application form, though(maybe this is new?) but I emailed to book an appointment and went there on my appointed date. But you need to take it with you. And yes, you can use your current passport(I did with no issues)

I think you have to print that and then complete it and scan it in. To open it, right click on the document and choose "save downloaded file as". You also need to have Adobe acrobat DC. [/quolte] Thank you so much for this information. God bless you.

What about those applying for a bsc program?

Your taught language is the English Language, you can email your school explaining this, or get a letter for waiver. There is always a way-out to this challenge.

All the best.

You do not need a return ticket, are you returning anytime soon? Say in a couple of weeks or months, from your timeline I read, you are going to Canada to study.... Why will you need a return ticket and for what purpose..........my thought though is you do not need it.

Those who have traveled and other gurus will advice.

Could you kindly provide the link to this site you're talking about? I doubt it's an IRCC associated account.

I just finished speaking to an agent and he said I will require IELTS Academic to apply for study permit.

N/B: I used Duolingo English Test result in getting the admission.

Please can someone tell me if I really require IELTS to secure study permit when I didn’t need it for the MSc application. Thanks

Hello,

If you decide to go through the NSE route, then you will be required to submit an IELTS result (both academic and general are acceptable). If not, then you do not need to take IELTS.

It will end in praise.
