because the British didn't want a Nigeria without a good and trusted slave to run it,so the British officials to zik and awolowo that there are three regions and they three must be complete before Independence will be granted,it was a trap, zik and awolowo met the sardauna, the sardauna gave them conditions, his condition being that the north must have 50 percent majority in the house before he can agree for Independence, they agreed because they felt it's better to be with fellow Africans than with the apartheid British.
But the north chose to serve British interests in return for British backing for their continuous stay in power.
You can investigate these

Tales by moonlight. You southerners believe you are more savvy and politically more intelligent than us. You guys felt you will file us forever because of our low level of education, that's why you guys wanted us by all means. Unfortunately, the reverse is now the case.

[quote author=OyinO post=100158463]Sad and very unfortunate but they should enjoy their Islamic fundamentalism. Muslims love to run, escape and go to areas where people don't practise Islam because those places are relatively peaceful, only to start to enact mosques and begin to propagate Islamic fundamentalism that shattered their previous settlements. Same thing with the Christians - they are not better than the Muslims.

This is exactly what the fulani herdsmen are doing in Nigeria.

This is clearly a grand plot at ethnic cleansing across the sub region.

A security source blamed Sunday's attacks, which were carried out by men on motorbikes in the remote Tahoua region near the border with Mali, on the local Islamic State affiliate. Islamic State has claimed responsibility for previous raids against security forces and French aid workers.

The rising death toll appears to be the result of the Islamists inserting themselves into ethnic conflicts between rival farming and herding communities, said Harouna Abarchi, a civil society activist who leads peace initiatives in the area.

Perfect, so he is not wrong. Iswap and Boko Haram have inserted themselves into conflicts between herders and farmers and the security source blamed the most recent attacks, the killing of 137 people on the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).

Thank you. I'll explain...
Christians have also involved in Jihadist or Wahhabi style of invasions and conquests for imperialism before. Both Muslim Quran and the Christian Bible commanded their adherents to attack, dispossess and wipe out people who refuse to be part of them or who oppose their philosophies. They used brute force to impose their brands of political Philosophies shrouded in religious fundamentalism to spread and plant these imperial religions of mass enslavement of conquered victims. That's what colonial governments did with their colonial Missionaries. The sword wielding Crusaders and their Knights (Knighthood) which continue to be Christian doctrine today are good examples. If you turn the Christian cross upside down, what you get is a sharp sword. It was the Christian sword that Constantine disguised as a cross of Christ used in invading and attacking vulnerable people into surrender for Empire expansionism of Roman Empire but you all applauded him whereas your Bible claims that Jesus asked Peter to shield his sword because his Kingdom was not of this earth, if not he would've commanded a legion of angels to fight and destroy earthly adversaries. But we know that Christian Nations successfully spread their Christian Church and indoctrinations through brutal and forceful invasion and conquest of people they termed savages to justify the brutal invasion. Today, the Christians continue to criticise, attack, demonise, rubbish, bully and condemn African Spirituality or Traditional Beliefs, stating that it is hellbound Satanism, diabolism, fetishism, demonism, voodooism, Juju, barbarism. Is that not terrorism and religious fundamentalism? They also indulge in burning down African shrines dedicated to Deities and Ancestral practices. But when Boko Haram started burning down their churches, they cried and wailed in vain. They used to sing while burning down the African shrines that the African Deities are idols who have Eyes but cannot see; ears but cannot hear; mouth but cannot eat; hands but cannot fight for themselves. Hence they are powerless powers. How can a power be powerless? Why do you call it power? But when Boko Haram started returning the favour through nemesis, the Christians didn't see the powerlessness and impotency of their own God and Spirit and angels but started to criticise Buhari's government over security concerns and islamisation agendas. But Book Harm Leader is mocking them, saying their God is powerless and can't fight for them.
Again, Christians will go to a place where the people are practising their own peaceful religions such as Shinto, Buddhism and Hinduism, then try to convert them to Christianity so that they can begin to build churches and mount loud speakers that generate heavy decibels of noise pollution disturbing the entire neighborhood even in the middle of night when others are sleeping. Since their Nigerian Christian God is deaf and dumb, they like shouting in prayers and preaching to enable him hear them out. One Redeem church man took megaphone to London where London Metro Police got him arrested. Then the Nigerians started saying all manners of rubbish that the West is Antichrist bla bla... That's another way Christians turn their areas to noisy neighborhoods and run to another man's land to start making noise through Christian religious fundamentalism.
Lastly, both Muslims and Christians are guilty of labelling people who don't practice or share their beliefs as: Infidels, Heathens, Gentiles, Hellbound, Unclean, Carnal, Fetish, Ungodly, Antichrist, Wicked, Sinners, Unbelievers, and so many more derogatory remarks and names that demean the dignity of the human person and right to freedom of expression, healthy association and choice of worship or belief. These two religions used swords and barrels of gun to brutally establish their religious franchise on invaded and conquered people, and not by peaceful conviction.
Let me rest my case here.

They do. If you don't know, I'll tell you.
They burnt down African Shrines and put to the swords the Priests to the Deities who refused to get converted and BAPTISED into Christianity.
Is that not destruction and killing people in the name of religion?

The Niger conflict is largely ethnic in nature caused the Fulani herdsmen who feed their cows from the farmers crop. Nigeria comes to mind.

The war seems more easily to fix. Money should be showered on creating cattle farms for the Fulani.

You are right, but Boko Haram and ISWAP have inserted themselves into this conflict (which was previously easy to fix) and the Boko Haram and ISWAP angle is not that easy to take care of.

The whole thing is very complicated. To fix things a bit, there has to be cross border coordination between the countries affected by the insurgency :Nigeria, Niger, Chad and Cameroon to flush this Islamic terrorists.

Or should a wall be built? That's not possible because of Lake Chad.
