It's a psychologically related issue it's called Stockholm syndrome - where one develops trust towards his/her captors or abusers.

Ahh the babe needs serious help, firstly she must as matter of fact end things with the said guy communication, assistance and intimacy, work on herself - ensures she comes to terms that currently she need to heal and learn to love properly. Equally she must engage some practices of her faith (like prayers) (whatever her religious affiliations might be)

People change behavior when a very compelling emotional event happens, that period where he was repeatedly begging her was when that trust developed, I guessed she had no one to talk to then to give her a balanced perspective. Another example is a lady falling in love with an abusive guy, a lady falling in love with a guy who gives her good dicking even if he's not good looking or ticks her boxes, a guy falling in love with a lady that captures his fancy even though she's not into him

I just hope she finds who really loves her genuinely, that's equally a way she may heal, but right now, she needs to see clearly.
