essien in his prime was a machine he is robust and strong like a rhino, covers alot of ground and can shoot from distances which results to screamers mikel was more like a michael carrick/busquest type of player and more creative than essien but in other aspect the ghanaian tops him with miles andrewbaba44: |

zoboizee:Okoye is still very inexperienced. He makes good saves sometimes, but he can't be trusted to make series of saves against tougher teams. For instance, when Nigeria is playing a team like Brazil/Argentina, I would trust Uzoho to make the crucial saves needed to keep us in the game (which he has done multiple times). Maduka may also produce some good saves, but all it takes is one poor save or mistake and we're down by a goal, which we saw against Sierra Leone. |

TheGoodJoe:Because forging Mikel's signature just didn't make any sense to me. There wasn't a need for that. I'm pretty sure Anderson would have been very well compensated for taking the fall. |

chrisooblog:Micheal Carrick was a very highly rated player at West Ham. That he went on to Man Utd eventually was not a surprise for those who watched him then imo. Heck even back then in championship manager 2003/4 his potential ability was 20/20!!! I remember cos I'm an old boy. ![]()

elunico:Good points sir. Am just curious as to why we haven't had an African star in Man Utd, despite some good mentions with Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and even City. At some point in time, I also used to think South Americans also have it tough in Man Utd for whatever reason, Forlan, Veron even Tevez, just my own thoughts. |

andrewbaba44:I won't tag him a flop because he barely got a chance in the starting 11 Aside vidic and Ferdinand he had Silvestre and west brown to contend with and both were far experienced than him then |

charlesemeka85:Maduka Okoye is an averagely ok goalie. Small pressure and he would crack open with nothing special about him. Have seen him in the Eredivise with that weak team Sparta Rotterdam. Uzoho is better than him. Have not seen any measure of improvement in this guy. Still same weakness. |

elunico:Yes, I do. He makes some quality saves, no doubt. But he isn't the kind of keeper that you can rely on to make quality saves after quality saves in a single game. In some of his conceded goals, his positioning was faulty, and he looked lost. It was almost as if, if you beat his defenders, you had beaten him already. |

I'm watching all Afcon matches Live on Hesgoal.com clean and clear. But when it comes to super Eagles match now (Especially anytime they play in Nigeria) , one will start having eye problem due to bad coverage. That is even there will be any coverage of the match .Who do this to us ? |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by drDoom3(m): 5:35pm On Mar 25, 2021 |
zoboizee:I think his problem is pressure. That's why I said if you've beaten his defenders, you've beaten him already. He is good, but not the kind of keeper that can save a small club in a match against a big club that will keep on knocking. At some point, he just gives in. |

To me oo... this is looking like an Ejide/Enyeama scenario in the sense that whenever Enyeama is injured Ejide fills in and mans the post, but when he returns He claims back his number 1 spot... Although they both(uzoho/okoye) are yet to achieve the (Enyeama/Ejide) feat..but plss we can't just displace our number one keeper(An afcon bronze medalist and also world cup experienced lad)....to me I tick uzoho to start against Benin |
