Anderson took a fall for Mikel. If Anderson agreed Mikel signed that deal with Manchester United, Mikel would have been in trouble with the forces behind the scene.

Carrick wasn't turning heads then. The standout players then were Kanoute, defoe and joe cole. It was when he joined Manchester United that his game now really flourished. I mean look at Lampard he was just there at West Ham but see how he transformed into a world class player at Chelsea.

Micheal Carrick was a very highly rated player at West Ham. That he went on to Man Utd eventually was not a surprise for those who watched him then imo. Heck even back then in championship manager 2003/4 his potential ability was 20/20!!! I remember cos I'm an old boy.

Good points sir. Am just curious as to why we haven't had an African star in Man Utd, despite some good mentions with Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and even City. At some point in time, I also used to think South Americans also have it tough in Man Utd for whatever reason, Forlan, Veron even Tevez, just my own thoughts.

Maduka Okoye is an averagely ok goalie. Small pressure and he would crack open with nothing special about him. Have seen him in the Eredivise with that weak team Sparta Rotterdam. Uzoho is better than him. Have not seen any measure of improvement in this guy. Still same weakness.
