Good News!

The Ark will specifically take 106,000 seats and will include a 24 Floor Mission Tower (International Headquarters Facility) made up of 2 pairs of 12 floors each.

It is to be built on the site of the old Faith Academy adjoining Faith Tabernacle which will now become its overflow facility. Faith Tabernacle and Faith Academy’s Foundation Laying both took place on 29th August 1998 and both projects lasted one year with the 50,000 capacity Faith Tabernacle project commencing on 18th September 1998 and dedicated on 18th September 1999.

According to Bishop Oyedepo, not one dime of the money contributed to this project since 2015 has been touched and the Church has maintained strict budgeting and never going out of her budget. ‘Right now’ says Bishop Oyedepo ‘ it doesn’t feel like what we are building (the Ark Project) is up to a bungalow’.

Continuing the announcement by the Church-Members of the Church especially Pastors, Deacons, Deaconesses, Heads of various units who are able to make it are required to be present for this Prophetic Event.
Everyone that sees the take off of this Project shall live to see its completion in his or her multiplied state in the name of Jesus Christ.

History Behind The Project

The money for the Ark was fully raised in 2016 after the church raised money from her members and non members across the globe specifically for the project. The project was initially christened Faith Theatre and was intended to be built on 1000 acres of land behind Covenant University.

The project couldn't take off as Bishop Oyedepo said God had not permitted him to proceed with the project.
The money remained with the church.

However, Bishop Oyedepo says he now has conviction and direction to go ahead with the project. Consequently, Faith academy was demolished alongside the church's Institute and camp house. The name of the facility now christened "The Ark" instead of Faith Theatre.

Faith academy was then relocated behind Covenant university giving room for the new construction.

The stadium like facility was designed by Covenant University Department Of Architecture and would be built by a Nigerian engineering firm - Laralek Engineering.

The commissioning for the project happened in the early hours of today and construction has commenced this afternoon.

There are too many people who already have companies. Has your govt made it easy for them to run those businesses.
Let's start by asking govt to create conducive environment for business. Only then would companies thrive.

I see, I saw..... I see dragging and fighting, Oyedepo and some church members dragging for ownership of this building. I see them abandoning God and resorting to juju in this battle, I see them afflicting one another with hunchback, bow leg and kwashiorkor. Oh what a terrible sight ......

So I have seen and So shall it be.

No one creates a company to reduce unemployment. No one... The purpose of a company isn't to generate jobs but to solve a problem and pay the owners.
Companies only recruit people in the journey to fulfill that purpose.

So employment is merely a byproduct of individual or corporate vision. That is why, when a company is distressed it sacks workers to save itself.

Oyedepo is a pastor who has a vision. He can only create employment in line with his vision. Anything else would be lack of focus and direction. He has spent thousands of hours studying on how to become an 'A' pastor not an 'A' entrepreneur.
It's like saying dangote should challenge Microsoft because he has money. Dangote would be ruined if he tries it because he doesn't have the mental capacity for such.

Creating a university alone took Oyedepo many months because he had to study many models. Send teams on study mission etc. And that's why he succeeded. Mind you, his venture into education has shifted his attention away from church, no matter how little.

Visionaries and people serious with life don't cross carpet anyhow. They face one thing only! You won't see Bill gates building refinery because it is good money. What it takes to be successful in church leadership is different from what it takes to succeed in business. Though there are some overlaps.

Jesus gave that instruction to find the lost people of Israel, before the church began that cannot be a doctrine. Matt.10: 5 -6; Luke 15:4 After there encounter of the Upper room, the church started Peter and other Apostles conducted crusades as Jesus often did by sea sides running a template not limited to house to house Acts 1:8 ; They were looking for every opportunity to witness Christ in city sqaures on the road, houses preaching in season and out of season. House to house is not a doctrine Sir. Just a biased interpretation you choose to esteem. Delusion.

Well i'll stick to how the work was commissioned by Jesus himself going in pairs to preach and teach people in their homes! Mark 6:7
So you stick to whatever arrangement you see in your neighbourhood, i beleive only those following his footsteps are doing his work not those building mega Churches to house worshipers who aren't going to preach and teach their neighbours as instructed by the founder of Christianity Jesus Christ of Nazareth! I thought this project was buried. Haven't heard of it for years. But this church is already too small even before construction begins. Three services x 50,000 = 150,000 excluding overflow.

I am not a fan of megachurches but this entitled attitude to their money and resources is wrong.
Everyone should be free to spend their money however they like.
