It has nothing to do with being attractive, it's simply because they are no 1 and 20 on CAF and FIFA rankings.

What is your definition of attractiveness as it concerns soccer?

Na both ways. France dey harvest the best dey give them the rest wink

Those so called "rest" being given to them, would all have about 10 England caps(a very big achievement for angloNigerians) each if they they were born in England.

Guys like Diallo and Koulibally would even bench every center back England can boast of

No doubt.

Another big steal after Koulibaly and Eduard Mendy is Abdou Diallo. I even read that his younger brother who plays for Southampton is considering going to the AFCON with Senegal.

Did you know that it doesn't take more than two weeks for those players to get cleared from France to rep any of these francophone countries, unlike England that takes up to 2years to clear a player for the anglophone countries in Africa?

I think England does that thing intentionally because I mean Akpoguma was cleared in less than how many months but Ejaria and Lookman don dey take years.

Bros dem plenty oo, even the ones wey fit no get chance till their career finish dey. They have two quality young goalkeepers in the Serie B, in the Portuguese league, young Mouhamed Mbaye was Porto's second choice before he got injured, he even started a match, thankfully, he is back now, in that same Portuguese league, young Babacar Niasse is the first choice and regular starter for Tondela. When you go to ligue1, their U20 goal keeper Boubacar Fall that just joined St Ettienne few months ago, has already been promoted to the first team and made the third choice goal keeper of the club. Senegal get goal keepers yapa, and none of our goal keepers would make their 23 man squad, it is painful

We have more wingers and strikers than any African countries. I mean ejuke, onyekuru, olayinka, Osimhen etc.

Why do you think we still need him?

Playing with an AM will force Iheanacho out of position and we can't afford to keep our best players on the bench. I would rather Olise than Eze because Olise can function as a CM, besides his basic AM position. If we get Eze, he would at best add to our depth on our already saturated LW. So bro, I ain't keen no more on having Eze. You don't know how glad I am that Acho has rediscovered his mojo

Kelechi Iheanacho is ready to discuss new terms at Leicester City.

The Sun says the 24-year-old enters the final year of his current £60,000-a-week five-year-deal this summer and the Foxes want to tie their in-form hitman down on a lucrative new deal, following his recent outstanding form.

Iheanacho has been on fire, scoring seven goals in his last four games, including the crucial double against Manchester United which set up a Wembley FA Cup semi-final with Southampton.

That hasn't gone unnoticed by rival clubs at home and abroad.

However the striker, who has been directly involved in 15 goals in 15 starts this season, has no desire to leave Leicester and is in it for the long haul as he looks to emerge as Jamie Vardy's natural successor.

A source close to the striker says Iheanacho feels Brendan Rodgers has taken his game to a new level and is bringing out the very best in him.

Trevor Sinclair said he believes Wilfred Ndidi is among the best in Europe, adding that the Leicester City dressing room appreciate the midfielder’s value despite not being a headline maker.

Ndidi produced another terrific display for ‘The Foxes’ as they secured a place in the FA Cup semi-final courtesy of a fine victory over Manchester United at the weekend.

Ndidi’s reputation continues to grow following a string of fine performances and Sinclair, who was talking to Talksport, feels that while the Nigeria star sneaks under the radar, his impact cannot be questioned.

“I actually looked at Ndidi and thought there are not many better than him in the Premier League and probably in Europe,” he remarked.

“Really good player very probably underrated, undervalued. But I wouldn’t have thought he’s undervalued by Brendan and his team-mates because I’m sure they appreciate everything that he brings to that team. He makes them tick.”

Rodgers recently lavished praise on Ndidi and his contribution to ‘The Foxes’ since arriving at the club in 2017.

Amid concerns the player is now starting to drift onto the transfer radar of other clubs, ‘The Foxes’ boss said: “He’s one of the top players in world football. His quality in his football is improving all the time. He is irreplaceable for us. He’s fantastic for a young player.

“What is pleasing as a coach, is that he wants to learn. He will improve and get better. I’m so happy he plays in my team.”

Italian Serie A club AS Roma are willing to double Anderlecht offer of 2.5 million Euros to sign Paul Mukairu this summer, according to media reports.

Mukairu, 21, has scored four goals and provided five assists for Anderlecht on loan from Turkish club Antalyaspor.

Anderlecht have the option to buy the quick winger for 2.5 million Euros, but according to CalcioMercato Roma are keen to pay double that to sign Mukairu.

Recently, the player has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League as well as Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam.

At the time Essien was at AC Milan, they were not at the top of European Football. After Mourinho left, he was not a regular at Real Madrid.

Mikel was consistent at the top scene with Chelsea when they had a trophy haul.

So what is the problem?

Essien was on loan at Real Madrid for just a season.

Iniesta surpassed Ronaldinho? grin

Nothing Musa no go see for Nairaland. grin

Maybe you don't know Ronaldinho is 3 years at the top of the game. The next two seasons at Barcelona was trophyless. Then left the club and headed to Oblivion.

Iniesta was was key to a dominant Spain and Barcelona. At the top for a longer period than Ronaldinho.

I wish all of y'all could see the debruyne-like passes Ndidi was delivering today FR ndidi is a gem and also senior man kel is fvcking clinical bagged 2 goals yesterday and he has continued his crazy form today.
Osihmen work rate still remain his biggest strength even Ndidi set him up with a killer pass but osihmen still couldn't find the net that was yesterday though but he has actually impressed me today personally though
So oga goodjoe which one should we be going for 4-3-3 and 4-3-2-1

I say we go with an offensive 4-4-2. Nacho and Osimhen should attack.

Do you mean winning Seria A was oblivion?

Ronsldiho didn't start his career in Laliga.

Iniesta was indeed at the top for long but Ronaldinho won more individual laurels than him

Ronaldinho won individual laurels. Winning serie A while Iniesta was winning champions league, world cup, Euros.

Come on. From serie a to where?

Iniesta is ahead when you compare their careers.

Being abusive in your words will not give your point weight.

Iniesta was a key part of one of the best sides, if not the best club side in the history of club football. In that time they won the Champions League three times. Cleared La Liga titles. Won two European Cup of Nations and the World Cup.

It is not to slap, kick abuse to make points.

In that period Iniesta reigned, it was longer than that of Ronaldinho.

It is not just personal accolades but reign at the top.

Iniesta's Longevity at the top beats Ronaldinho.

Finito.

My friend, in the history of world cup, Klose has more world cup goals than anyone. But can you boldly say that klose was a better striker than Ronaldo da lima, Pele, Thierry Henry, Batistuta?? Some players won everything in football before a certain age and they weren't motivated to be consistent due to lack of motivation. So you can just use Longevity as a measurement of a player ability. This is how you judge who was better between the two.
In the best of Iniesta which to me was 2008 to 2013
Vs the best of Ronaldinho which to me was. 1999 to 2006
Who was better? In fact, Ronaldinho prime (2003 - 2006) can possibly be the best football player that I have witnessed.

The likes of Iniesta should be competing against the likes of nedved, Xavi, pirlo, Rivaldo, modric, figo, Raul, stoickov
While the likes of Ronaldinho are in competition against
Zidane, messi, maradona, Ronaldo da lima, Cristiano, Pele, Cryuff
