There is SMP and MP .... since she joining mid way to her pregnancy, she might not qualify for SMP as it breaks this requirement : you have been employed by your employer for a continuous period of at least 26 weeks into the qualifying week..... however she should then qualify for MP

SMP and MP are not public funds....I am 100 percent sure of that... you can confirm online on .gov website as it the source of truth.

I thought it was an odd rule when I first heard it but hey that the rule in the UK....

Pregnancy is 40 weeks (EDD), so for SMP you need to be with that employer one week before the belle enter making that 41 weeks before you are due.....so you have to be with the employer one week before you got pregnant and then 26 weeks later still be working with them then that how you qualify for SMP..... 15 weeks before edd is your qualifying week. ( 41 comes from 26 +15)

This is the official statement:

The continuous employment rule: To satisfy the continuous employment rule you must have been employed by your employer for a continuous period of at least 26 weeks into the qualifying week.....The qualifying week is the 15th week before the week in which the baby is due.

Either way there's a looot of studying and CV padding required to get a job managing AWS for most companies, only to be offered on average 50-60k in London.

If you're new to IT, I wouldn't recommend it, unless you're a geek.

I gave this advice. Cloud isn’t for newbies. Best to start from junior devops or Helpdesk then land in cloud.

Quicker way is to find maybe naija people in your area who have done similar ..they should be able to give you contact of the local job agencies in your area. ...those local agencies are usually quicker to find you a shift or job

Assuming that you're already using the main rental websites (Zoopla, Rightmove, etc.) and possibly any high street letting agents in your area, if you are seeing suitable properties which fall within your budget but are being rejected for whatever reason, simply offer the next landlord(s) some months' rent in advance.

Have you tried using facebook or gumtree? With gumtree..register and state the sort of house you are looking for, you will be contacted by landlords including scammers so be very careful.

You can search in the website and filter out agencies so as to get house advertised by private landlords.

Look for a guarantor...... Difficult to find one, but if they are willing to take the risk...... You get the accommodation.......

Well others have offered some more tips above, just keep on it, something will definitely turn up.
I understand that the validity of your family's 3 month entry permits are running, so you might want to consider renting an Airbnb for like a month (you usually get discounts when you do so, so the cost might be closer to what you would have paid in rent + utilities), so you can get your people over and avoid having their visas expire and require renewal.
