''You Cannot Bring Down What Is Already Down'' - Aisha Yesufu Replies Garba Shehu Who Said Nobody Can Bring Down Buhari's Government

Aisha Yesufu has replied the Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, who on Friday, March 26, said in an interview with Channels TV that nobody can bring down the Buhari-led administration because it is a democratically elected government, IgbereTV reports.

''I want to assure Nigerians that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is addressing multiple challenges that are facing the country especially in dealing with security and yet we are still making progress in agriculture, economy, anti-corruption.

It is sad for the country that opposition is exploiting some of these things. It is quite unfortunate and I want to assure that the president remains focused in preserving the security and unity of this country.

We accept that dissent is allowed, this is a democracy and people have a right to tell truth to government but we must be careful in doing that. Nobody can bring down the government because this is a government elected democratically.

Government in a democracy come through periodic elections and if we have a government in office as we have, sponsored by political parties to win the elections, it is telling you that that confidence of the public is still there.'' Shehu said

Ms. Yesufu in a video shared on social media said she totally agrees with Mr. Shehu. According to her, nobody can indeed bring the Buhari government down because it is already down.

She wrote on her Twitter handle;

"Spokesperson to the President, Garba Shehu @GarShehu said nobody can bring Buhari's govt down and I totally agree with him. You cannot bring down what is already down. We are making demands to bring the government up and doing."

We need solutions and not empty talks

Your reply sounds defensive of this government. If work tire this administration they should come out and say it. Its really getting worse by the day. Yesterday I had to buy 300liters of fuel at 170 and stock in my gen house in preparation for the fuel price hike next week. At least I will manage till I have to buy. So we are officially about to cross N200. Yet the minimum wage promised was like a scam they claimed they added it but took it back by increasing tax to 7.5% adding national housing fund deduction and increasing pension deduction where they easily borrow from. They are still owing us the arrears for the said minimum wage. Yet they are about to double fuel price. And as usual, every thing in the market will shoot up. Initially i thought subsidy had been removed. Yet i still hear nonesense talk of subsidy. May God save us

One thing is certain; even a dog will perform better than buhari. Don't forget that Buhari has lost his memory. Even a common driver is using his mental emptiness to make money.

Garba shehu simply means nobody apart from President's cabals can bring the President down. If this statement were made in Buharis first tenure, we would have known if actually Nigerians were zombies as Nnamdi Kalu called them if he would be elected for the second time.
