That is not possible because when a name has been approved, it will be available for 60 days. If you do not like the name approved, you will have to conduct a new name approval on your most suitable or preferred name. Also, make sure you do it alone as a sole name search, so as to avoid the same situation that occurred to the first.

I will advise you to go back to your profile, edit, and fill in all the necessary information needed. They will definitely respond to the application, that is if they haven't already responded, I also have some applications that are delayed but they are responding bit by bit. The thing with queries and the CAC is that they have a standard and there are statutes that dictate how company applications should be filed and filled. If there is a default in the process, the CAC will definitely query it. You just have to make sure you respond to the queries appropriately.

Presently, there is no standard timeline for registration but they will respond to the applications in due time. I have some applications that were registered within 2-3 days and i have some in 2-3 weeks. It all depends on the system of operation of the CAC personnel but one thing is sacrosanct, they will respond to all applications.

The standard timeline for the reservation of an approved name is 60 days. However, if you have started the registration or the incorporating process and have paid the payment/filing fee, that means the approved name cannot be taken from you, even sometimes when a presenter commence a filing process before the 60 days reservation period expires but have not paid the filing fees or concluded the registration process, the EDMS portal will still retain the process.
In your case, just click the reserved column of the name reservation section and start the registration process, if the filing process is not starting then you will have to revalidate the name approval again.

Yes, it has happened to me too a number of times. It is the way the EDMS system operates, all I do is wait a while then re-login and it will work. As long as the username and password are correct and accurate it will log in later. Just give it some minutes if such occur again.

Please how do we file business name annual returns online since physically visit to the Commission’s premises for submission has been suspended due to Covid. I physically file my annual returns every year but it's not clear on their website on how to go about it.

Firstly, the nationality query is based on the presenter's information. You will have to edit your personal data and properly fill the information.
Secondly, the supporting document that has not been asked for should be replaced with just the valid ID Card, passport picture and signature only.

Filing of annual returns can be done via the post.cac.gov.ng platform for all post-incorporation and post-registration filings, for now, i do not know whether the public or individual users have access to the portal but I know accredited agents do have automatic login into the portal. If it is urgent, you can either contact CAC directly or contact a CAC Accredited Agent/Firm.

The service on the CAC portal has not been favourable for a period of time, however, they issued a statement yesterday via their Facebook that they intend to resume the 4 hours name approval and 24 hours registration for both business name and limited liability company registration. Let us watch and hope they keep their words.

Morning, how do we solve duplication problem, I uploaded my passport photo, and signature under the presenter details and also under the documents for business name details too, so I was querried for duplication of documents, how do i solve this duplication.

Please my company registration has been approved on the 21st of April. How do I get the Certified True Company of the company documents in order for me to proceed with opening of my company bank account. Because I think bank will definitely ask for them.

Please how do we file business name annual returns online since physically visit to the Commission’s premises for submission has been suspended due to Covid. I physically file my annual returns every year but it's not clear on their website on how to go about it.

I have been trying to register a business name for a friend but all to no avail. Already reserved the business name, paid for registration but still pending, no even a query for almost 2 months ago. I have called all their customer service several time but same issue. Kindly help me with way forward pls.
