The only reason why Maduka would remain our No 1 is just because he plays in a more competitive league.

Uzoho has more commanding presence in the box, he's also a better ball player.
He plays in a more competitive no doubt

But say the truth

The only reason Maduka will remain our first choice is because he is oyinbo

Command and presence are not direct skills sir. In terms of reaction and saves, Maduka is better.

Bad

Very bumpy

We are in 2021 and a while country like Nigeria can't give it's national team a good pitch. Which should be an easy thing to do.

It seems those idiots at the NFF underated the effects of a good pitch in a team's football. There are some movements in the final third that the boys was trying to do today but bumpy pitches is just redirecting the ball anyhow
I never see any natural grass for this country that can be compared to world class standard

See the current state of uyo pitch abeg

So, we had Okoye man the post against Benin, and Uzoho man the post against Lesotho, with both goalies keeping clean sheets.

First of all, I am glad we have risen from the ashes of Akpeyi and Ezenwa, but I would genuinely like to know what you guys think of both players and the possibility of rotation between them.

Bear in mind, when I say 'rotation', I don't mean the way Enyeama and Ejide were rotated, but something with a little more equity. I genuinely feel like Ejide was shortchanged a lot in the team, because of Enyeama's brilliance, so, while I acknowledge how much of a legend Vincent is, I do feel a bit for Ejide.

So guys, what's your take on the Maduka-Uzoho GK rotation? If you can include their performances in the last two games in your analysis, factor their strengths and weaknesses, it would also be appreciated.

Thanks
Uzoho should be ahead in the pecking order, bringing into appraisement the following:

Ability to read the game - Uzoho

Reflexes. - Debatable

Stability. - Uzoho

Ball distribution and passing. - Okoye.

Marshalling the defense line. - Uzoho

At the moment, he has no Competition coz Musa can't be referred as one. Kalu is not stable enough for International Duties as well, otherwise should have been the real Competition.

I would have mentioned Simon, but he's more productive on the left wing, same as Henry.

Osimhen has good work rate but extremely wasteful in front of goal. Iheanacho and Onuachu would have scored most of the chances he fluffed.
They will not be in those positions in the first place. Let us commend osimhen for his brilliant positioning at least.. Most times, he has to run very fast behind the defenders and is usually unbalanced before taking the shots.

I swear. I watched 90mins of this game and I didn't see anything spectacular Ebuehi did. He just had a normal quiet game cos Lesotho didn't even pose any threat. Sometimes I wonder if dudes here worship him because of skin color. He had an Okay game. Not a performance that would make Aina not start next time as some people are claiming

Na so e be for here o. Na to read some posts, laugh and scroll to the next....... to avoid wahala.

Reflexes is Okoye. I can prove it. Meanwhile what is stability? Seems Uzoho's looks is deceiving you guys.

By the way, don't you think there's a reason Ajax want Okoye to replace Onana?

Secondly how did you come to the conclusion that Uzoho reads the game better as well as marshalling defence line?

Is it because of how he shouts during corners?

Victor osimhen was involved in 11 of the 14 goals scored by Nigeria during the Afcon2021q (5®6) hmmm I doubt if Africa are ready for this monster of a striker..
#influential
And add also that he did all these in 5 games! He really stepped in perfectly in Ighalo's shoes.

How about you try to prove that Okoye has better reflexes? cheesy. Besides until a player joins a team and actually gets featured "Ajax want Okoye to replace Onana" is just another of those stories.

I can tune down my criticism of Onuachu a little now. 2 goals in 2 games, that's impressive. I won't raise any eyebrows if he's included in the team's list going forward.

Musa - the non playing invitee. Rohr de craze.
Onuachu impressed me also. Sometimes, criticism is good. You can see how he has conquered his initial fears and now stepping up confidently.

I feel Osimhen should always come in in the first half, then we introduce Onuachu in as a super sub when the defenders are already tired from chasing after osimhen. This will help us greatly in the coming AFCON

i watched Uzoho play today and i began to question why Okoye is regarded by Rohr as the first choice.

Uzoho is far more confident, organized, composed and experienced
