Presidential Spokesperson, Garba Shehu has stated that President Buhari is not a medical tourist following the controversy his recent trip to the UK for medical checkup ignited.

In an interview on Channels Television on Tuesday March 30, Shehu said his principal has retained his doctors in the UK for over 30 years.

He added that Buhari is wise and quite correct in his decision to consistently retain the set of doctors who have ensured good health for him.

Shehu said;

“I think that, unfortunately, there is the misconception of the president’s trip, seen in the context of medical tourism.

In 1984, he chased doctors away from Nigeria through his policy.

There is nothing absolutely that this man will not defend Buhari. What a great country rule by unfortunate people!
