These banks are supposed to merge and build a healthy bank without CBN compelling them to do the needful. It is better to have few healthy and strong banks than to have many banks that are unhealthy and puts investors funds at risk .

Wema, Keystone, Heritage, Polaris are fringe players, Ecobank has not recovered from the toxic assets it inherited from Oceanic bank.

Unity Bank is seriously sick and it is in the intensive care unit, I respect people who are still investing or speculating in Unity Bank shares

Most times there is political undertone when it comes to banking regulation in Nigeria if not a bank like unity suppose not to exist anymore

Unity Bank is the only bank that is linked to a part of the country. If it goes under that means they will have no bank to call their own.

CBN is using tax payers money to make sure the bank is still in business.

Skye Bank problems was not as bad as that of Unity Bank before CBN took over the bank

Good afternoon great people of this forum. Someone advertised some investment products (see the image) below from Cititrust to me. I checked Cititrust website but didn't find any specific investment package stated there.

Does anyone here have an idea of these package? Are they truly from Cititrust? Are they safe?

Does this imply i move my funds from Keystone bank? I've always enjoyed their services and innovations but with this assertion, I'm beginning to get skeptical

Not necessary, you can be small and doing well at your level.

Banks making profits of below N10 billion per annum can be referred to as small banks

Wema Bank is also doing well, but it is a small bank. The betting mogul Chief Kensington Adebutu (Baba Ijebu) is the majority shareholder of Wema.

I think Wema bank has opted for regional banking licence.

For people looking at very low risk investments, Union bank recently lunched the M36 App.

You get to have a dedicated wallet with an actual account number

And you have the options of investing in Tbills, bonds, commercial papers etc...

Below are some rates as at today.

Rates are per annum. The app’s selling point is the convenience to allow people easily buy commercial papers, bonds and tbills with ease and less paper work.

Watched it. They just recycled the same motivational quotes we hear everyday. Nothing new. How many of these motivational quotes can be applied by the average Nigerian person? Sorry for being a party pooper.

By the way, na person wey chop belleful go dey think about keeping cash in the bank account of their unborn children. How many Nigerians don chop belleful?

Happy Easter grin

I am sure people will really appreciate if someone can come up with something original that most Nigerians can identify with and apply.

The app is telling to transfer all my contact after signing up and wanted to log in. Why should I do that when it is not as if I want to collect loan from them? When I choose the option of not transferring it refuses to open.

Precisely.
The motivational gurus must sell books and monetise their channels.
That's the kind of self-employment I admire, selling people something they don't need.
Meanwhile in developed countries the average person, after investing what surplus income they have in stocks and shares, or latterly bitcoin and other crypto-stuff, and a pension fund, turns to playing the various lotteries grin.
Na Nigerians dey buy motivational books and stuff, in churches and elsewhere.

You nailed it! The strategy of wealth-building has been the same since BC and it will always remain so. This is the reason investment and wealth-building bestsellers written many years ago are still relevant in 2021.

Well, I'm an average Nigerian and so far I believe I'm doing well for myself and will never relent.

Some of us see opportunities and possibilities while others only see problems and impossibilities.

The truth is that these principles are universal. We just need to be open-minded.

Do you live in Nigeria? If you don’t, then please don’t compare yourself to the average Nigerian living in Naija. You see one thing about Nigerians that live abroad is that they run away from Nigeria and still feel they can give the average Nigerian living in Nigeria financial advice.

Why did you not stay back in Nigeria and apply the so called universal wealth building financial advice to become wealthy? undecided
