My Corolla 05 makes a knocking sound when I put on the ignition with the engine oil light on. It goes off when throttle down and sound normal.

Also, the engine oil light blinks when car is idle or while braking mostly when the engine is warm and must have work for several minutes or hour.

I have just charged the oil pump thinking that was the culprit but the problem still persist.

What could have gone wrong pls expert in the house?
tokunbo oil pump abi? Because the knocking noise could be not enough oil getting through. Did you change the oil pressure switch?

Bro dont you think its gonna take him 3-4years before repayment.

Even if he use 2020 model of any vehicle, offline is luck for every driver. You know am a living witness. Only cooperate people do cares about cars and they're limited to Uber and not too many.

I've drove 2017 toyota corolla sport full option. But naija people dont freaking care oh they just wanna get to their destination faster and safer.

With any kind of car you're driving, just make sure your suspensions, bushings, leakage is good and also ac should be good too. Let your interior and exterior be classic and neat.

And drive very carefully. I dont think expensive cars are great game changer for this hustle except if they increase the fare which they will never want to try that for now.

My opinion though.

You are so correct .. Great mind think alike......expensive cars for uber is out of it ....This is 1 of the many reasons why stop using elantra and switch over to civic .......

When it comes too off-line wrk or uber itself.. All that matters is the presentation of the car which includes a/c suspension , safety etc .as long the car is safe to drive and no mechanical issues ..

This is all that matters.. I was ahead of the game a long time ago .....1 of my driver that drives 04 civic told me that anytime he picks up a rider they are impress by the civic .. They can't believe a civic can look this good and clean .....and he does off-line wrk

It will be accepted, Uber accept cars from 2000 while bolt from 2003.
But that car is 2.5 engine and you know how much fuel is and they are warming up to increase it so you will be working for Uber and fuel station somehow as most of your earnings goes to fuel, but then if that's what you have why not try. After people use big Daddy, EOD and muscle which are 2.4 engine

As long as the car is 2003 and above and is in a good shape to pass inspection, you're good to go.

Don't break bank to buy car for uber.

good luck and congrats on the proposed purchase.

So the bonus eventually came just when I was thinking of joining the Davit and chucsmoore indriver crew. There's no way I'm driving on bolt without bonus.

The way you guys talk down on this work seems like an agenda.

Your earlier claim was that he could hardly make 150k in a month, after being shown how much he really earned, you now talk about the job being for zombies.

Isn't it better to be a financially healthy and independent zombie than being broke?

It is a good job from whence anyone can build his earning and move to something bigger. We have drivers here that already have 2-3 cars on rentals apart from their personal cars they use for uber.

Perhaps you show a better way of earning without stress.
Some drivers are lazy and can't stand seeing others succeed . Those are the one's calling hard working drivers Zombies, In my opinion the more hard you work, the quicker you can save money to start a side hustle and make more money. every UBER driver should have a plan.
At a point we do suffer from the BURN OUT SYNDROME IN EHAILLING.
When we just need a rest from ehailing, recharge our batteries and fire on,
But London or Lagos, ehailing gives you far more then the average income earner.
How many people in Nigeria have the opportunity to earn N300k or in London how many people can up their game to £1000 per wk, let’s appreciate what we have Bruv

Bro, I dnt think u knw d meaning of zombie cos to me I'm seeing it as an insult to everyone of us here cos most of us here are doing this business to sustain a living either by full-time or part-time career and some lives such as families or friends depends on it too. I knw alot of salary earners that do borrow from Uber drivers. Some has fleet of cars in this business, are u telling me they are dumb to make that choice?? Go to all this Indian companies and see how they are treating people on top 20k salary with 6am-6pm rigorous work o, of which Uber drivers will earn that in a day or 2. Let Uber, bolt etc just pack off and see how unemployment will skyrocket in Nigeria. Lemme just stop here and dnt just be calling people zombies carelessly, I believe we are all mature here. #peace
Lazy people or some empty people with a false sense of importance, nothing to their name, or pedigree , they just think they are better then everybody dey call UBER drivers zombie, in the U.K. there are over 70k Uber driver, in India 450k , USA about 400k, and in all these countries the average UBER driver still earns more then the average salary holder, or how many white collard workers earn N300k monthly or in Lon how many workers earn £900 wkly,
Let’s be thankful folks, UBER BOLT have been a help to millions of people.
If someone is doing well , talk to the person find out how he does it, instead of allowing bad belle to kill you

Dear Copilots I need your sincere advice.

I lost my contract bank job 2 and half years ago, though I was earning less than 80k.

6 months later I was able to gather funds, personal savings, Loans from family and friends (Non interest) and I got a Matrix 04, I have since paid back all these loans.

I have been driving on uber/bolt for 2 years and its wonderful. I net above 100k in a month when I work fully, but the fatigue and stress has been taking a toll on my health since last year( I started looing weight and now I'm down some other ailments, but getting better) I started active driving 2 years ago, may be im not the strong type tho.

Recently I got a job offer of a little above 100k(net) outside lagos(Ilesa, i am from the area also) which means I have to relocate. It comes with an accommodation.

My car is in perfect condition but I don't have the will to continue this ehailing jo
Pls is it a good advice to take up the offer or I just continue my ehailing job, may be just weekend hustle?

Note: The job is just a managerial job and not too much stress in it.
Surely you know where the shoe pinches, and what works for you, it’s not a choice anyone can
Make for you.
Best of luck Bruv

The silly mistake I make yesterday still burn me till now. First it was pickin a wrong trip, tot it was Whitesand Lekki, I rushed down in order for her not to cancel on me, since it was bus stop, only for rider to hop inn and I realise, she's going to Ijegun area. Me, madam it can't work, ha! Today of all day grin plead with her and end trip.

3rd trip came with her trouble, olosho going to hotel, so controlling wit the demeaning mind set, maybe it's because of the extra 800 from the regular 1500 she normally pay to yaba from ikeja. We got to her destination and she went in to get money from the guy, came back with 3k, I only have 500 leaving 200 to balance her, I could have let her go with my 300, but she was kind of rude and hop into the car, abeg look for change, how? Find sometin buy or take me to where I fit buy cigar. I took her miles away, no where to get cigarette, had to buy what I don't need just to balance her. There she goes, won't u take me back? Madam! Too where? I'm off this trip, taking you back on which trip or u want to re-order cheesy wo! Jump byke.

The pathetic part is when I left mainland to Island, I was having back to back trip and try as much as I can to avoid beach. Island was completely dry yesterday, before I could get a trip back to mainland took me 2 hrs while I would have made good money shuttling between Yaba, Surulere and Ikeja. I really regret that move.

The most painful one that I'm trying to wash off, is getting a call from one lady Ard 12 mid night today. Please can you take me to Jibowu Ard 5am, I need to take first bus to East. Reluctantly I think through it and told her I can only do 5.30am and it's due to the fact that I've turned her offers down 3 times. I woke 4.30am, got to Ogba by 5.12am and notify her that I'm all set and out waiting for her to come out. This girl came out and ask me to take her to a park at Ogba and gave me 500 naira grin

Seriously it's been bitter-sweet experience since yesterday.
