Yes I have been to South Africa in fact we were robbed, the whole bus and items we bought stolen.

I lived and studied in Zimbabwe for some years. So I’m not stranger to South African’s treatment of other Africans.

That is not the point, South Africans hates other Africans, some South African men are like Zimbabweans , lazy, only got time for drink, drug and spend the rest of their time complaining about foreigners who they accused of taking their jobs and women

If your main goal is education + peace of mind for the kids, I’d honestly focus more on where you can get a clean legal pathway and stable income for your wife, not just “cheap country that speaks English”. I’ve seen a couple families do the “wife + kids abroad, husband stays back” setup and it’s rough long term. School runs, sickness, landlord wahala, plus loneliness for her. If you can, plan regular visits or a timeline for you to join them.

On the course for your wife, baking is actually a good angle if she’s serious. Short professional programs + food hygiene certs can get her working faster than starting a totally new field. Nursing can work too, but it’s heavier and more expensive, and she’ll need the academic basics first.

Also don’t underestimate the logistics if you end up moving household stuff later (kids things, appliances, personal effects). I picked up some solid pointers on door-to-door international moves and customs stuff from Nobel Relocation.
