Araromi Market- Iju Ishaga

Nigerian Operatives will work when they want to!


In events similar to covert operations American special forces unit are known for, Department of State Service operatives during an overnight raid engaged suspected Fulani kidnappers at their makeshift hideout inside Araromi Market within the Iju Ishaga axis of Lagos, after weeks of gathering intelligence.

The fulani kidnappers were alleged to have kidnapped a Chinese national weeks back which resulted in an encounter with DSS operatives who shot one of the kidnappers with a trackable bullet back then. Inhabitants of the market community loudly discussed among themselves the dramatic change in lifestyle of the suspects who would never open their private tent even in crash conditions.

According to Plex 2021 gist obtained from nightwatchmen who worked overnight, the siege began around 12 midnight when tinted cars first blocked major entrances leading into the market. And by 2am the DSS operatives already had their targets boxed in (thanks to weeks of aerial and contact surveillance which facilitated the success of the midnight operation.)

Four shots were reportedly fired during the melee and at least #20 million was recovered from the suspected Kidnappers makeshift structure within the Araromi Market, money suspected to be remnant from kidnap proceeds.

Our Plex 2021 agent today, was harrassed by market inhabitants for taking photos of spent shell casings and suspects makeshift structure hiding in plain sight which housed the injured kidnapper with a trackable bullet lodged in his leg. The bullet was tracked to their tent after weeks of detailed surveillance.

All in all four shots were fired. Two suspected kidnappers left in body bags and another taken for questioning.

Abeg when Naija security operatives won work. Dem go work.

But almost definitely the surviving kidnapper might die of torture!

This is encouraging. But I will wait till they do such consistently before I believe it is not just a PR stunt or something like it.

You actually need to see those guys make arrest. Not the sowore type oo. Real arrest, they don't spend more than few minutes. They can be very good and discreet.

For real. They saved one my paddys fews years ago in PH. Omo those guys are the real deal. They refused to collect money to do their job saying they are well funded. Forget the tracking, they got the criminals and provide free housing for them. Ie the zippable nylon type.

I thought they are just chopping money without doing any meaningful work,i always thought it's SARS/IRT of the police force that's doing the heavy work.
