arantess:True..... The graphics shooting etc was terrible, I don't really know the budget for the movie but they should have done better because the Airforce really came out to support these guys with Aircrafts, Location(NAF HQ) etc |

ugo4u: I knew the film was going to end up that way. There are studios in Hollywood to take the thing to for photo-realistic effects but as usual I imagine someone pocketed the film budget and everyone just hoped the hype and NAF support will carry the film through. I also suspect a weak screenplay and terrible (maybe nepotic) casting so I am not going to bother to watch the nonsense. |

Fear continues to pervade the atmosphere in Imo State as gunmen in the early hours of Thursday attacked the Mbieri Divisional Police Headquarters situated in the Mbaitoli Local Government Area of the state. Our correspondent gathered from an indigene of Mbieri that the fleeing gunmen struck around 1am and immediately released the suspects in custody in the police facility. The gunmen also took away the phones belonging to suspects and the police operatives at the Division. But a police source at Division told our correspondent that the gunmen were repelled by the policemen on duty. The police source said “We resisted them but they overpowered us. They had more sophisticated weapons. They took all the phones they saw, released the suspects when they gained access and vandalised the police building.” The source confided in our correspondent that the attackers kidnapped one police officer and injured two other cops. A community leader, Nokey Ebikam, told our correspondent that the police divisional headquarters was not burnt. According to him, the gunmen didn’t raze the police facility but freed the suspects in detention after vandalising the Division. Another indigene of the area, Darlington Irobi, confirmed the attack on the police facility to our correspondent. He also disclosed that the suspects were freed by the rampaging gunmen. Police spokesperson in the state, Orlando Ikeokwu, confirmed the attack on the police station when he was contacted by The PUNCH on Thursday morning. He also confirmed that while one police officer was missing, two others where injured owing to the resistance put by the policemen on duty. Ikeokwu, also confirmed that some suspects detained in the police facility were freed by the attackers. He, however assured that the police authority in the state had commenced investigation into the attack, immediately. The PUNCH reports that six Divisional Police Headquarters had been attacked between February and April apart from the state Police Command headquarters and Owerri Correctional Center which were attacked on Monday, respectively, with 1,884 inmates released and over 50 vehicles burnt. The gunmen also attacked a military base at Ukwuorji on the Owner-Onitsha Expressway, burnt a soldier in a car and razed four other operational vehicles belonging to the military. The other Police divisions attacked in the state within two months are Obowo, Aboh Mbaise, Ihitte/ Uboma, Isiala Mbano and the Ehime Mbano Divisional Police Headquarters. https://punchng.com/breaking-again-gunmen-attack-imo-police-station-kidnap-cop-injure-others/ |

Dude, don't jump to conversation you do not understand it's context. I was never talking about militias or herdsmen. My simple curiosity with the guy's comment was with him referring to some people as foreigners within Nigeria's borders, just wanted to make sure he wasn't talking about Fulanis from the north that reside in the south etc. In which case i believe i mentioned that they are Nigerians and have the right to reside anywhere they want within that same territory, if they are Nigerians and not killing etc. Let's move on now. jpphilips: 4 Likes |

Nigerian soldier of 145 Battalion in Damasak, Maiduguri, Borno State has resigned over alleged starvation and maltreatment by the commanding officer, a military source said. The source told SaharaReporters that the soldier angrily dropped his rifle on Tuesday and quit the job due to the hardship faced by soldiers on the front. He said, “Today, a soldier dropped his rifle and quit the job due to frustration plus the hardship we are facing here.” He had earlier told SaharaReporters that the commander of the battalion, Lieutenant Colonel SA Ochalla, starved him and his colleagues for four days straight without offering an explanation. The soldier said the soldiers, who were fighting insurgents regardless of the situation, were aggrieved as their two months’ cigarette allowance had not yet been paid. He said, “We the soldiers of 145 Battalion at Damasak, Maiduguri are dying of hunger. Our commanding officer, Lieutenant Colonel SA Ochala, refused to feed us for four days now. He has also refused to give us our money for March and April cigarette allowance; the world should come to our aid. “We haven't seen water to drink since morning, plus we have not had food for four days now. We have to fight regardless because our life comes first even before food. We are still combating insurgents even in this condition. “This is the Nigerian system for you, everything is so corrupt. But the corruption is more pronounced in the Nigerian Army. I have been in the Nigerian Army for more than five years now and I think I can tell you this. Imagine, we are on deployment into the bush and we have not been fed yet. Our commanding officer gave no explanation for this. He has not held any meeting with anyone regarding this issue. We are starving, please help us.” Nigerian soldiers have complained that they are outgunned by Boko Haram and that they are often sent into battle without adequate supplies. http://saharareporters.com/2021/04/07/soldier-resigns-amidst-starvation-maltreatment-borno-%E2%80%93-source 1 Like |

Military Launches Air Strikes On Benue To Kill Unknown Gunmen, Residents Panic Fighter aircraft of the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Air Force have begun air strikes on Bonta community in Shangev Tiev, Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State, to destroy the camps of unknown gunmen, believed to be militants from the South-East. SaharaReporters learnt that the military jets after leaving Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State on Tuesday where they had been engaging operatives of the Eastern Security Network, were redirected to Benue State to continue air interdictions. SaharaReporters gathered from eyewitnesses that the aircraft flew at low level as they released gunfire, forcing residents to run in different directions as the deafening bombardments continued on Tuesday. “The aircraft flew as low as 5 to 10 metres above the roof level with a wicked soldier who was shooting randomly and emptying a lot of magazines in motion,” a witness stated. “It all started this morning, when Nigerian military attacked the people of Bonta in Shangev Tiev, Konshisha LGA using aircraft. This unexpected attack made everyone run out of the villages and look for a secure place to lay low,” another resident said. “There are actually reports of deaths from the bullets, the shock from the unexpected attack and the loud sound and vibration from the aircraft. There have truly been communal clashes between the people of Shangev Tiev and the Igede community in Okpute. “Some military men were caught in the clash when they were attacked by some Shangev Tiev youths on their way to their place of assignment. Now, the military have come to avenge the attack on their members,” another source revealed. The Nigerian military confirmed the aerial strikes in Benue, saying they were from troops of Operation Whirl Stroke who came to engage attackers who had ambushed some soldiers days earlier. “Some soldiers deployed to maintain peace between two warring communities of Konshisha and Oju LGAs respectively were ambushed. The soldiers were said to be on routine patrol in parts of Konshisha and Oju LGAs at about 5pm when the armed attackers seized them and went away with about eight soldiers after they opened fire on the troops. “The military then went to reinforce and are back to the community,” a military source stated. Only on Tuesday, the military aircraft had also caused an uproar in Essien Udim, Akwa Ibom, when the gunmen were targeted in aerial strikes for earlier killing a Chief Superintendent of Police, Benedict Okoh Ajide and other police officers. The gunmen also killed a yet-to-be-ascertained number of military officers while many others were injured. The policemen and soldiers were said to be in the community for peacekeeping efforts. http://saharareporters.com/2021/04/07/exclusive-military-launches-air-strikes-benue-kill-unknown-gunmen-residents-panic It can never be ESN operating in those 2 LGA. |

sanctity454: Nothing foreign about insecurity in Naija. A country where youths are predominantly jobless while kids of politicians, top security personnel, Government functionaries are feeding fat on corruption and building Dubai mansions. What’s the salary scale of most Top Government functionaries. A Country where appointments are not based on competence. 90% of our security personnel/ Minsitry workers, if their entrance exams where carried out by KPMG or PWC they’ll never be there. A country where a Presido is zooming off gladly to UK for medical attention carried out by Nigeria Medical doctors and Nurses in UK. A Country where soldiers are crying out for more arms, while procurement funds are diverted to Real estate, Oil firms etc A Country where till date no Senator or House of Rep member irrespective of his religious faith will disclose to you his National Assembly package. A Country where you speak on the rot in the ongoing insurgency by our top military personnel, but many here on this thread wanna crucify you for speaking up. A country where a corruption allegation is made about a politician that dies off immediately he joins the ruling party. Nigeria is sitting on a keg of gunpowder. I Laugh at those here who believe if Insurgency starts in the east by ESN the military will quench it off immediately. The Military cannot fight in NE, NW, SE and Middle belt simultaneously if things get out of hand. Even ISWAP will be smiling if such happens because it will definitely create a window for them. Just how I asked why a superior should break the phone of his subordinate and a member replied “Ask your military friend” that’s the average Nigerian mentality for you Make we Dey pray continuously for better days. 12 Likes |

when you have a country with a rotten political system, tens of millions of unemployed youths and a non-existent police formation. This bush fires littering the country surprises you? let's keep blaming foreigners. A sensible govt should know that those idle hands will eventually be used for something nefarious. Make opportunities available to the youth, create jobs, or kiss nigeria goodbye. It won't survive for long if this keep going on like this. you can't drop bombs on every criminal gang in the country sanctity454: 3 Likes |

SamuelAnyawu: Am not insinuating that all is well with the Nigeria state, nepotism gave rise to ethnic groups, but that is not enough to turn themselves to militias. Somehow somebody got themselves organized, sort funds, bought arms, trained themselves and started hitting security operatives, all by themselves. I see no winner here aside the suppliers of the merchandise. |

PMB has divided this country due to his brazen nepotism, but he will leave that sit in the next 2years but Nigeria will remain. ugo4u: Read into your head not your scrotum, Fulani militia in the SE affects only Ebonyi, what is ESN doing in Anambra, Imo, Abia & Rivers? that is the point. I understand its an association of low IQs but they shouldn't expect everyone to think like them, 5yrs ago, they were looking for a country, they hit a brick wall, they started hunting herdsmen where they pose no threat with assault riffles to raise an army of Kidnappers, today they are killing cops, how does any of these make sense? 2 Likes |

Britain fought several wars to retain Scotland, in Spain, all the Catalonia leadership ended up in Prison, In the US, George Washington fought the confederates to return to the United states, Italy fought the Sicilians to retain a united Italy, young man, no white civilized nation will tolerate this madness you call Biafra, you my friend is the one thinking like the black man you are. 6 Likes |

jpphilips: No Fulani militia in Anambra? Bro, take a ride through Nando-Umueri-Aguleri-Igariam towns down to Ayamelum LGA to-Anam-Adani towns. IF you successfully get to any town in Ayamelum LGA without running into them, ask the villagers to direct you to their farms then you go there alone. IF you get back unscathed, you can now come and talk like you know what's happening in Anambra state. PS.... You can take this ride at any time of the day. 1 Like |
