If you have your own stats bring it up. You and I were not in Odi the day it happened.

1. They ambushed the soldiers
2. They carried the bodies
3. They burnt them
These happened in a community, you can't tell me that nobody saw the guys that did it or don't know one way or the other the guys responsible.
The soldiers had to search for their buddies cos no formal report was made.
Draw your conclusion from this
One way or the other the people of that society participated

Good news, a brave Nigerian Navy personnel, Ak Bala, who was kidnapped sometimes on 24 Feb 21, on his way to Kebbi on leave, has succefully gained his freedom. He successfully disarmed one of the kidnappers, then used his weapon to kill two of them and escaped.

I just look at them talking here and posting trash here on this forum ...all I see is but this tank, buy this gun, but this gunship buy this gunboat ...kill this amd those that are killed

The average black man think with his anus...very sentimental folks....in normal races...they deploy force only when dialogue have failed but here they deploy force before dialogue...that is what distinguishes the other races and blacks

The clowns here keep proving me right...have they even called ESN and all these guys welding guns etc for a meeting or dialogue and ask what is it that you want

I am seeing here as a place for anarchists and pyromaniacs

Nobody has called for a peaceful resolution and dialogue ? Can't we have a chat as a nation and ask for a way forward ? These are what makes one matured.

We don't need war ? We don't need fight? We need peace ? If they want to have autonomy for us to have peace . SO be it

We are loosing investors, global confidence etc due to these ! Let's eschew tribalism , what I am seeing here are tribalism

It's only here I gear crazy thing like Unity in Diversity....how can you he united still have diversity ...madness

Its crazy the way the average black man thinks...and they keep proving me right....

No wonder the black race is laughed at by other races and at lowest end of the racial pole

They are bragging buying equipments...how many have they produced? Other militaries in the world produce some of their equipments....but the black man in Nigeria will never think and go into R & D

Only gragra....it's a shame ...big shame , they are disgracing us reasonable blacks
I don't exchange invectives online.

But, na you and your papa be the black men wen de think with anus. Your Fada!

why would that pain me lol. its about accurate reporting. of course you get aroused by any news that tarnishes the Nigerian state. Once biased, no point having discussion with such person. I try to be in the middle without taking sides unless there's an obvious error.
Nigeria have a shiffy* govt. we all know that. But stories also needed to be validated. Soldiers themselves have fallen prey to criminals disguised as one of their own. That's why its important to hear all sides. That's plain common sense.
And if soldiers go on rampage killing civilians, it's also common sense to condemn such action and charge those responsible.
In a country with functioning system and institution, that would be expected, wouldn't really hold my breathe in Nigeria's case

Then the military started searching the bush when they found the dead body of their men. The met some crimial and engage them in a gunfight, the criminal ran to the community and the community hid them. That was when fire started raining in the community

If the FG and Military had genuine reasons, they won't have lost in court. The FG should even be thankful to the people of Odi.

There are eye witness reports from other news media from where you got that.

The Defence Headquarters wish to put it on record that apart from this initial 10 bandits, there are no other civilian casualties recorded in any part of Konshisha till date. We therefore challenge anybody from Konshisha to present to the public the 200, 70 or 30 dead bodies of innocent persons, male, female or children killed by troops in Konshisha. There was never a massacre as being touted by some mischief makers.

The remnants of the armed bandits that escaped from Bonta withdrew into neighbouring villages where they kept on attacking troops as they continued with the search operation through Bonta into other parts of Konshisha. Knowing the implications of killing troops in cold blood, most of the villagers fled their homes which were then occupied by armed bandits who kept firing at troops from the settlements as they advanced into Konshisha. Troops repelled the attacks and destroyed the houses and other buildings which the criminals used as hideout for the attacks. The use of abandoned settlements by armed bandits to attack troops is popular with insurgents. The aim is to draw military fire into the dwellings and then turn round to blame soldiers for the destruction. This is common guerilla tactics armed bandit designed to whip up public sentiment against security forces and this is what played out in Konshisha. This accounts for some of the burnt houses being reported in the press. Some of the phones of the dead soldiers were also tracked to some of the settlements. We should therefore blame the armed bandits for the destruction since they used these settlements as hideout for attacks. It will be wrong to blame soldiers who are in Konshisha on legitimate duties when some of them were murdered in cold blood. Some of the buildings being paraded today were actually burnt during earlier communal clashes between Konshisha and Oju, all of which the sponsors of the mayhem are now blaming on the military.

You just said about Ghana "an Army captain they thought was a thief". You see the difference right there. This was not the case here nor was it the case in Odi or Zaki Biam. In all these cases they saw armed uniformed servicemen on duty, ambushed and killed them in cold blood while hiding amongst innocent civilians leading to the reprisals you see which has been the basic counter insurgency tactics of every other military force including the United States to get those communities to give up the assailants. Hate it, yes but in war they say all is fair. Those soldiers are also people's kids and benefactors.

It happens in other countries like Nigeria not unlike Nigeria. I seek not to bore you with that.

But with reference to your "every region and tribe will have a well armed group". The good thing for the Army is that these are disparate groups and I can tell you the Army is more than a match for them. You only just need to keep them divided. In the end innocent people will be killed, the Nigerian Army will still be here and life will go on.
Let's rather sue for peace. No one of these groups has any chance for success on it's own.
And if the Nigerian military is pushed to the wall the Myanmar option becomes inevitable and that none of us want to see. A bad place to be.

You see Nigeria is a dynamic country. It is not Ghana. The pressure lines of tribe and ethnicity is so thick and made worse by resource agitations and nepotism by the powers that be.

There is no perfect society. What some of us are calling for in a country like Nigeria is nigh impossible. We can accept to come to what's workable like restructuring in some way which the old man in Aso Rock promised, got voted in only to get there and tow the line of his predecessors, such a shame. What is wrong with galvanizing political activity and voting in the right person for the job instead of fighting. The people can channel that energy into political action for societal reform, economic and social justice.
@ the bolded

That never ceases to amaze me.

Why can't 20 million people actually rise above pecuniary interests, short term gains and all the problems they bring?

Why can't a few SIEZE power legitimately! Work with the current constitutional framework with a view to not only toe the rule of law but even looking at referendums for changing pertinent parts of the constitution.

All the police men shooting at armless civilians are mostly disciplined if found guilty. For here, police go tell you say, I go kill you and nothing go happen.

Nigerian police is far far more worst than the US police. The FBI is far far far more efficient and more disciplined than the Nigerian police force.

I was driving on the itokin-ijebu ode expressway back in 2016 or 2017, a policeman just jump to the front of my vehicle from one hut. I almost hit the guy. He was fucking drunk, they were drinking ogogoro.

Ayam tired of all this talk... I will stand by all what have always been saying, the Nigerian army is not a professional army. There is a little difference between the way they operate and how the likes of ISWAP and Boko Haram operate.

They are all known for sorrow, tears and blood. There is no justification for what is happening in Benue.

Bye bye.

I wan go find news I go post for here cool

There is no evidence the guys that attacked the Nigerian army is in that town. Why do they have to kill people and burn houses. This killings will continue from both end and won't stop.

I can't find a link were British massacre British civilians or where US forces massacre americans in the USA.

Help me with a link.
The Ballymurphy massacre was a series of incidents between 9 and 11 August 1971, in which the 1st Battalion, Parachute Regiment of the British Army killed eleven civilians in Ballymurphy, Belfast, Northern Ireland, as part of Operation Demetrius (internment without trial).

The Nigerian government is doing more harm than good by allowing the likes of Sahara reporters and people's gazette to continue to publish misinformation. Even YouTube should be talked into blocking such hateful and diabolical channels targeted at the Nigerian public. The legislators are there passing bills on allowing hijabs in military and paramilitary when they should have passed the hate speech and misinformation bills. The NBC is there allowing the broadcast of very hateful content by people filled with hatred.

The government should stop pretending they are subtle democrats when the vast majority of people perceive them as dictators!!!
Buhari's administration is the weakest ever in this fourth Republic. Even Jonathan deployed soldiers to punch HQ when their trash was too much.
