Truth is that Ghanaians are very corrupt also. They just don't 'out' themselves like self-hating and disunited Nigerians.

The reality on the ground is far from the carefully packaged facade Ghana and her queen's English-obsessed leaders try to portray to the world.

Fact is that Ghanaian leaders have no qualms spinning reality to appear to be what they are not. The world swallows it same as CNN quickly bought the Lekki "massacre" propaganda.

Any intelligent and exposed person will know that Nigeria's challenges are unique and that it is unique solutions, peculiar to our needs, that will address those challenges. Not silly and if oranf comparisons.

lol at the highlighted.

Ghana's leaders have perfected the art of packaging themselves so the whole world thinks they are angels.

Meanwhile all sorts of shady oil deals go on behind the scene.

The only point of this thread is that Nigeria needs to do better.

I've been telling you, you have valid points, and you know what you're talking about. But because you lace your contents with insults and aggressive comments, your points no matter how beautifully stated and valid would be lost on your readers.

I don't think you understand Aconomist.

His REAL intent is to lay those insults, especially racist insults here. He uses his 'concern for Nigeria' posts as cover to do this. So you are reading him upside down, by assuming he has altruistic motives. He doesn't.

The Ghanaians are even laying one of the most sophisticated roads in West Africa. The road stretches for several kilometers.

Lol. Why don't you just confess you're Ghanaian and spare us this rigmarole. Lagos is moving towards completing it's mass rail transport scheme. The blue line alone is 27km so what exactly do you want to impress us with in Ghana?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUeYC0xazwU

Below is latest development regarding the red line. If you're not ignorant you will see, as Rossikki already mentioned, that Ghana is actually punching well below her weight for Her endowment to population ratio.

Lagos at 21 million is close to the entire population of Ghana at 29 million so what dumb comparison are you making? Accra holds around 2.8 million people. Why is it not Dubai-like and is instead no better than Lekki phase 2 at best?

Is this resources to population challenges not why the small Scandinavian nations of Iceland, Sweden etal have better standards of living than even the richer nations like UK, France and the USA? Why is Ghana, without even plans for a rail system, not an example of that reality if it is a special nation as you hype merchants tout her to be always?

https://nairametrics.com/2021/04/08/lagos-to-close-road-in-ikeja-for-15-months-due-to-ikeja-overpass-project/

The Lagos State Government has announced the diversion of the traffic on Adegbola Street, Ikeja from Sunday, April 11, 2021, for a period of 15 months.

The road closure is in readiness for the construction of the Ikeja Overpass for the Red Line Project of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit.

South Africa is only 58 million people compared to the Hausa population (future Awera Republic) which boasts 55 million and is growing rapidly. Everybody has enough people to form powerful countries. Break up Nigeria.
Vulnerable smaller nations with each agitations of dominance within the breakaways will surface.

The opportunities of larger Nigeria market will be lost.

The Landlock part will be severely hit.

There will be astronomical agricultural investment in the north.

Solid mineral development will be given attention immediately in both North and South.

The impact of stoppage of monthly allocations to states, most especially in the North, will create huge unemployment with explosive social unrest.

Too much money in the hands of Niger Delta states may lead to corruption and more agitations within..

I think we better together as true Federal nation.

When have you heard me complain about Abuja's road system? Abuja is great. The only problem with Abuja is a low skyline.

Excellent points.

I personally believe that if 'Biafra' is actualised, ie South East plus Delta forming one nation, that there will be a civil war in the new country within 3 years, maximum.

It will be caused by resentment by the delta minorities of Igbo dominance of the nation and their control of the delta oil and gas resources.

No it won't. Abuja's skyline is low because there is no demand for office space.

Bruv, Lagos is as great as it's past limitations and serious challenges allow it to be. Stop running the State down. This is the smallest state, out of 36, in Nigeria by far holding 10% of our nation's entire population ooff Circa 210 million !!!!!!

Since Tinubu took over in 1999 and passed on the baton to Fashola, Lagos has generally improved for the better but the decades of stagnation, neglect and deprivation have taken their toll and won't be reversed overnight.

That is why Lagos now needs solutions providers and not arm chair critics alone. Now is a great time for anyone, preferably as a consortium, to approach Lagos with innovative ideas and viable solutions.

You can become very wealthy while helping the overall mix of solution the highly challenged and over-burdened State needs.

Ghana and EVERY OTHER DEVELOPING NATION ON EARTH (IE 80% OF COUNTRIES ON EARTH) have these problems you just listed to varying degrees. NOT JUST NIGERIA.

I know that you colonised Nigerians think everywhere outside Nigeria is like 'Dubai' and 'London'.

But the truth is that those places are just the minority in a world of developing nations, of which Nigeria is one.

Here's a suggestion: Next time you take a vacation, instead of running off to London or Dubai, or New York, or some other 20% part of the world where ''everything works'', travel to the real world of Peru, or Jamaica, or Honduras, or Sri Lanka, or Bhutan, or Ethiopia. Or Mozambique. Or Gambia. Or Lesotho. Or Senegal. Or Swaziland. Or Colombia. Or Tanzania. Or Ivory Coast.

The more you interact with the REAL WORLD, the less inferior you will feel, the less resentful of Nigeria you will be, and the more you'll realise there's nothing especially evil about your fatherland, and actually quite a lot to be proud of.

Where your leaders go, is where i go. Your leaders dey London, i dey London. Your leaders don't go to Swaziland, ivory coast, sri Lanka . How do you expect me to go there.

The interchange allows a driver coming from the north to go either South, East or West, while the typical interchange only allows you to go south or West, putting strain on other parts of the road network.

Something like this will be useful in Marina District, Lagos.

We already have the Eko Bridge interchange and Marina bridge to take care of all that and you can not insert that ugly monstrosity in Ghana in that area so sole a problem that doesn't exist.

Also, you can not eliminate traffic entering from the mainland and leaving vital economic city and corridors consisting of Lagos Island, Lekki, and VI where millions of people enter in the morning and leave in the evening at the same time, sure, you can mitigate the situation, but you can not eliminate it, the situation is the same all over the world with no solution unless you have a formula where you prevent millions of people entering and leaving the same place at the same time.

"Biafra" should only be the Igbo states along with Cross River and Akwa Ibom (which will be in a semi-autonomous region). Oduduwa should be the Yoruba states with Lagos as a semi-autonomous region. Awerra should be the Northern states with Boko Haram governing the Kanuri people in the North. The rest should be Nigeria with its capita Abuja in the center. All of these countries will be economically integrated with a common currency and military. But the governments should be separate.

The flyovers allow for faster flow of traffic, which reduces congestion. But these images you show look good enough for the circumstances in Lagos. When was this completed or is this a rendering?

The danger of ransacking the internet to copy and run to NL to ridicule and abuse your country with when in fact you don't know your own country, you don't know the area you rubbish your country with.

This is what people do when hope for and nourish is the worst about their own country.

Learn a little about your country before running to NL to abusew your country.

How many cars or do you see on that beautiful road? Do you see cars and heavy traffic pilled up to justify N35 Billon rubbish flyover?

What you know or don't know about flyovers doesn't mean you must erect flyovers everywhere without accessing the need and the traffic situation in the first place.

This is public administration 101.
