God bless you all niaraland members.

For a little now I have been privileged to serve God as a pastor in a newly planted church, to the Glory of God. There is no great building yet, just a temporary structure made with wood. I am not bothered about that, because humans are the church and not the building.

Now my experience is this, I have come to realize that many of us are going through economical problem, rather than spiritual problem. Anyday I am sitting in church for counseling purpose, majority of people that comes for counseling are those looking for what to eat, you will hear things pls pastor whatever you have give me to eat.

One day I shed tears, because I could not have anything to help some persons. My conclusion is this, churches should help each other. I am setting up a day for compassion purpose, even though we are not much in number yet, members we be encouraged to bring what they have to help others.

shocked One thing you need to know is that the economy is hitting most Nigerians very hard now. It's not only the members of your church.

What those poor people need more than hand-outs of money is THE KNOWLEDGE that makes wealth. Even scriptures say that "my people perish for a lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6).

So, I will advise you to give them both REVEALED and PRACTICAL advice on how to overcome poverty and live in wealth. Here's a thread someone did on this that I believe can help you in this respect: https://www.nairaland.com/6499494/make-bad-economy-work-out

That's right pastor,. the truth is that it is only the poor that have bad dreams and spiritual attacks .. you rarely see a rich man with Soo much spiritual problem like the poor man...

When hunger wire you as a man. ypu will begin to see witches and wizards

You shed tears because you felt thier pain but when the church grows bigger , Hope you won't forget them. .. trust me many have shed tears before you but now they laugh in private jets while members shed tears

Most people going to church in Africa are not there for the word of God

They are looking for a breakthrough in their lives

That's why you see less churches and pastors in developed countries because their most needs are met by government

You shed tears and you're using the small money donated by the church to erect structures.

A good advert for saying you need members.

Oga, go and find sth else doing to pastorship; tithes and offerings are not supposed to be salary. Even Paul worked! Even Jesus worked!

You shed tears when they say they need food but you get angry when they don't pay tithes and offerings and you use the Bible to twist a military threat against those who don't do them having a duplex in hell fire.

You consume their harvest and say it goes to God.

You use their offerings to sponsor your children while theirs are at home.

And you come here acting like
you care for them while you are indirectly clamouring for new members.

Yawns.

Seems you are now getting the majority problem of religious Nigerians and also understand why advance and developed nation don't do religion

Those developed nation don't need what religion offers, they already have it third world country need economics breakthrough hence the need for religion

Way out is to force our leaders to build a better economy, ensure only people who knows about economy and governance made it to power houses because you organising a relief day is good but not sustainable

Many churches deceive their members over sowing and paying tithes thinking it will wave away their problems. those things don’t work.
How can people rely on praying alone. A church around my house does programs From Monday to Sunday, People will be in church praying during normal working ours, that’s Blunt stupidly. Tell them to work harder. Thing about means of survival etc.

Give and it shall be given to you. Give whatever you can give and let them engage in work. The economy is not favorable to many folks. However feed them with the word, that they should keep having faith and believing in God that supplies all needs.

This is one thing 90% of churches in Nigeria fails to understand that church is a place of hope for the less privilege, those who are handicapped, etc.

I'm still wondering why the church will call on its members whenever they have a project to execute, or when the church is in problem for help, and the members will genuinely help.

But when the said members have an issue, more especially financial, and they come to church for help, but the church will do little to nothing for them, rather the church will tell them to go to God in prayers.

Why so

[quote author=Miracle4all post=100683710]God bless you all niaraland members.

One day I shed tears, because I could not have anything to help some persons!

from the statement above he said and I quote he does not have enough to support all the members that’s why he fell sober or rather shed tears. God will reward you abundantly.

[s]you're using the small money donated by the church to erect structures.[/s]

That sentence above is naturally demeaning so in a nutshell you are an oxymoron, a personification, an hyperbole, and a nincompoop.

Churches abandoned communal living as seen in the bible and now focused on enriching their pastors while the flocks keep wallowing in hunger and abject poverty.

Church worshipers this days are decreasing in their numbers because many have start reasoning with their brain..why will someone go to church on a normal day in the name of counseling? Haven't they come across where bible says no food for lazy man and also heaven help those who helped themselves?. The reason for poverty in africa is because of church.. Many people don't actually no the meaning of vanity upon vanity.. majority of africa believe that wealth is vanity, which is a as results of poor preaching. Those people don't actually need food rather work, yes I know work is hard to get but it's better to do something than do nothing, make them understand that same bible that said love of money is the root of all evil also said money answered everything...

Note: I believe that God is the greatest

I'd advise you to invest more in your church, make it more conducive or comfortable. That way, you'll be able to attract customers sorry church members who have money.

Yes, the church should be at the forefront of giving welfare to the flock.

It is unfortunate that many churches operating today are pseudo churches.

On your part, do your best to help those you can help and leave the rest to God.

God bless you....Pastor do you know that before Jesus Christ healed the sick, he first of all had compassion on them (Luke 7:13, Matt 20:34, Matt 15:32). If you follow this path you will see God in your ministry because Jesus cannot reside in a place where there is no love (1 John4:20). God strengthen you Sir....

It's even hunger and quest for easy money that made you to become a pastor in the first place.

You are shedding tears of joy upon discovering how to scam them and the formula to use.

Prosperity seed
Seed of faith
Sacrifice
Tithes etc

Scam the hell out of those brainless lot !

When the Bible talked about members selling their land and bringing the proceeds to the Apostles feet, i used to imagine what kind of love is that.. but now, There are thousands of Denomination , Everyone is getting Called by God Everyday especially in Nigeria without anything doing... The early church was characterized by ZEAL for God and they have Zero Passion for things of the World.. but now sef, If my Pastor can be using Rolex watch, who am I not to use SWATCH... The Church we have now cannot go back to the EARLY DAYS... EVERYBODY EYE DON CLEAR... If I sell my land, I'm definitely using the PROCEED for an INVESTMENT... Cos, if I go broke, No b PASTOR go feed me...

Here is another so-called 'pastor' who should never have set foot in a pulpit, someone who really does not understand the basic MESSAGE OF THE BIBLE: SIN, not God's inability to keep the world fed, housed, healed or maintained, is the issue.

Now my experience is this, I have come to realize that many of us are going through economical problem, rather than spiritual problem

Really?

Isn't that very different from what you have in Isaiah 59:1-2, pastor? Was Christ wrong, pastor, when He taught people to seek first the kingdom of God and that all other things would be added to them?

With this your postulation, it would appear an economics professor or a social worker should rather be in your post.

The problem of the world, Mr Pastor, is spiritual. It is SIN.

God is capable, not only to solve all economic and social problems once the sin issue is removed from the world but to make the world run without the problems.

Those who know God situate correctly the problem of man.

No one is supposed to be called a pastor if the main teaching of the Bible is not understood by the person.
