Here is another so-called 'pastor' who should never have set foot in a pulpit, someone who really do not understand the basic MESSAGE OF THE BIBLE: sin, not God's inability to keep the world fed, housed, healed or maintained, is the issue.

Now my experience is this, I have come to realize that many of us are going through economical problem, rather than spiritual problem

Really?

Isn't that very different from what you have in Isaiah 59:1-2, pastor? Was Christ wrong, pastor, when He taught people to seek first the kingdom of God and that all other things would be added to them?

With this your postulation, it would appear an economics professor or a social worker should rather be in your post.

The problem of the world, Mr Pastor, is spiritual. It is SIN. God is capable, not only to solve all economic and social problems once the sin issue is removed from the world.

No one is supposed to be called a pastor if the main teaching of the Bible is not understood by the person.

All you mentioned above about Africa have spiritual roots it's that spirit.

There's a foundation upon which everything stands and there's principalities.abd powers , rulers and spiritual wickedness that controls the affairs of the earth and men outside the spiritual coverage of the Holy spirit.,....

There's a spiritual root to every.physical issue and that's a fact
How about those of developed economy that don't give attention to religion.

Why will a sane Nigeria fast and pray to get US Visa why US citizen can enters most countrie at ease?

A good advert for saying you need members.

Oga, go and find sth else doing to pastorship; tithes and offerings are not supposed to be salary. Even Paul worked! Even Jesus worked!

You shed tears when they say they need food but you get angry when they don't pay tithes and offerings and you use the Bible to twist a military threat against those who don't do them having a duplex in hell fire.

You consume their harvest and say it goes to God.

You use their offerings to sponsor your children while theirs are at home.

And you come here acting like
you care for them while you are indirectly clamouring for new members.

Yawns.

Church worshipers this days are decreasing in their numbers because many have start reasoning with their brain..why will someone go to church on a normal day in the name of counseling? Haven't they come across where bible says no food for lazy man and also heaven help those who helped themselves?. The reason for poverty in africa is because of church.. Many people don't actually no the meaning of vanity upon vanity.. majority of africa believe that wealth is vanity, which is a as results of poor preaching. Those people don't actually need food rather work, yes I know work is hard to get but it's better to do something than do nothing, make them understand that same bible that said love of money is the root of all evil also said money answered everything...

Note: I believe that God is the greatest

Please show me where this is in the Bible.

God bless you all niaraland members.

For a little now I have been privileged to serve God as a pastor in a newly planted church, to the Glory of God. There is no great building yet, just a temporary structure made with wood. I am not bothered about that, because humans are the church and not the building.

Now my experience is this, I have come to realize that many of us are going through economical problem, rather than spiritual problem. Anyday I am sitting in church for counseling purpose, majority of people that comes for counseling are those looking for what to eat, you will hear things pls pastor whatever you have give me to eat.

One day I shed tears, because I could not have anything to help some persons. My conclusion is this, churches should help each other. I am setting up a day for compassion purpose, even though we are not much in number yet, members we be encouraged to bring what they have to help others.
that is the true church . Jesus preached to the multitudes and felt their hunger and gave them 5loaves of bread.

If a pastor likes let him preach from Genesis to revelation, if a poor man is looking for what to eat and a rich man is busy flaunting his wealth in church, then that isnt a true church.

The early church survived by sharing among themselves what they had, but we now have churches where the leader has favourite members that's those that are rich, churches where the leader has jets and cars while most members suffer.

Our present day church has derailed from the ethics and principle of what a church should be.
Re: My Experience As A Pastor by tete7000(m): 11:18am On Apr 11
There is connection between spiritual prosperity and physical prosperity. If people know God, they will prosper for God will provide there needs. How? That God will fashion out. The scripture says seeks first the kingdom of God and all these others will be added unto you. Mr. Pastor bring your congregation to authentic knowledge of God (that is assuming you yourself understand what this is) and bringing your people to physical prosperity becomes an easy task for you.
Re: My Experience As A Pastor by achanyaene: 11:18am On Apr 11
I am glad someone has raised the point of who is more important, the building or the people? In the Old Testament emphasis was laid on building temples rather than the people because God’s dwelling place then was the temple. But now attention has shifted to the people rather than the temple. Sadly, we are still stuck building temples rather than people.
Do everything you can to build this people spiritually, financially and physically. After they have been built they will build the church.

You are absolutely correct man of God. Hardship is the number one reason why many people can't care less about God. How can they believe in a God who allows them go on suffering. Sometimes you can't even go to this people to tell them about God except you have enough food they can put in their belly otherwise they won't even listen to you.

But the bigger problem is that many men of god these days are so focused on the wrong things. Shouting 'tithe tithe tithe!!!' everyday but they won't even use the tithe to help the widow and the orphan and the poor among them. Rather to build more and bigger structure so they can be boasting all over the place.

I am confused and tired of the whole scenario.

the spiritual control the physical....
However, we cannot wish away the poor leadership in the country for so many years....
Dat has brought poverty, extreme hunger and misery 2day.

From the days of John the Baptist the kingdom of God sufferent violence and only by violence you will take it by force...

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers against spiritual wickedness in higher places.....

There's nothing like religion with sense...The gods of this world don't respond to gentility but to power and violence

Hahaha RuddyFusion believe everything happening in Africa has spiritual background. Why you believe otherwise. Imagine if two of you were partner. Why does she believes so. Three things influence what a man would be.

*People you move with
*The environment you grew up from and
*The books and materials you consume.
It will only be a waste of time trying to change people's ideology.... You can only influenced them.

The Pastor might truly feel concerned about his members predicaments... But let his ministry grow more bigger his intentions would be to guide the interest of his ministry by competing with other bigger churches to building biggest auditorium and acquiring more members so the money can keep flowing in without caring about the warfare of his sheeps. Which is why I don't fancy big churches.

The rules, laws and principles are good leaders, good leadership, excellent justuce system and citizens that understand law their rights under the law, need to have good leaders, taking decision without religious sentiment etc.

Religion is African problem, take it off leave it.
