I believe that they are going to construct an underground tunnel from uratta -ph road- Ngwa road.Part of the tunnel will run through the middle of pH road, that's why the are doing only 2 lanes for now

"This is Port-Harcourt road as at today. Contractors have resumed work on this all important road with a mandate to deliver at least two lane of the proposed six lane.

Cleaning and excavation has been done from Asa-Nnetu down to crystal park as well as the fine grading. They are currently working from crystal park heading to Uratta junction.

Note that the massive underground drainage system that will take the flood water away from these roads to Aba river is undergoing simultaneously"

It's very heart warming to see Gov Okezie Ikpeazu is determined to address the issue of poor internal roads in Aba once and for all!

God bless Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu for finally upgrading Aba to the great city and center of manufacturing that it used to be. With the improvement in internal roads, all the industrialists that left Aba would have a good reason to return to the city.

setraco doing a good job so far. drains completed end to end,earth work commences in ernest.
with world bank financing the reconstruction of those roads (pH road, Ngwa road, obohia) we hope for a speedy completion

This very important road that later became the shame of Aba. Refuse dumps and filthy stagnant water almost covered the entire stretch at some point!

I'm glad the road is now being fixed.

that's why am pissed about this whole issue.For the first time in ages the East is starting to pull massive investors from Anambra to owerri to Aba ,and we might just loss it all.
The igbo have legitimate grievances that must be addressed but we don't have to burn and destroy the fabrics of our society to make a point. Militants,Boko Haram and Ambazonia are recent examples.
I wish ESn kept to the forest to engage herdsmen

Looks like they did a good job on that road. Though i don’t know why they couldn’t add sidewalks and cover those ugly gutters! Nothing screams ‘3rd world’ quite like open gutters! They’re not only unsightly, but unsanitary too!
