Between nepotism and insecurityTHEY NO LONGER WANT TO RESPECT THE FEDERAL CHARACTER ANYMORE. The northern controlled federal government of Nigeria has gotten with far too much atrocity . It has gotten to the extent that Buhari refused to listen to complaints. But when Power switch to the south and a southern leaders is doing all this things that Buhari is doing that is contrary to the constitution. I just hope they will accept it just the way it is. The more corrections are demanding the more Buhari remains adamant and stubborn. |

The sentiment in many quarters is that government’s brazen preference of Muslim Northerners in appointments is chiefly responsible for the current general lack of faith in the unity and corporate existence of Nigeria. Well-meaning Nigerians had hoped that with the overdue retirement of former IGP Adamu, the president would seize the opportunity to bring a competent officer from the South, preferably of South East extraction, to give the security leadership of the country a semblance of balance. In other words, Southerners are far more intelligent than Northeners.... The writer of the article is just as bigoted as the government he criticises. As for me....the new IGP is qualified to be in the job. Whether he performs well on the job is another matter. If he does not perform well, then we should remove him. Nigerians should really give up on being so bigoted....both those on the APC side, and those on the PDP side. Besides, the Police has far more porblems than where the IGP comes from. |

I wonder why northerners still support the administration, and still think things will get better |

Foreigna:The problem now is that they are looting south's scarce resources in the name of fighting insecurity in the north. |

There is nothing between for most Nigerians. They just cannot connect the dots. They cannot relate their actions and inactions with their experiences. |

The problem is not even about nepotism but how competent those taking this positions are...just recently the minister of communication was place on a U.S. watch list as boko haram sponsor, now you begin to ask if the DSS did any screening they claim to have done on all ministerial nominees or just southern appointees only? insecurity in our land is born out of the yearnings of people who have been deprived justice, they want fairness, equity for all. wealth is being hold up by few selfish elites and the government is not making things easier too. The problem is to tell ourselves the truth and let our conscience speak for us.....The late sarduana, Ahmadu Bello once said 'conscience is a wound, only truth can heal it'! |

SmartPolician:NIGER DELTA CRUDE OIL MONEY. Money from vat taxes and other places where money is being generated are just being wasted on security in the north. A SOUTHERN PRESIDENT THAT TAKES OVER POWER COME 2023 MUST NOT TOLERATE THIS SPENDAHOLICS on security by the northern leaders ! |

Buhari is the worst thing to have ever happened in this country, the man is just a pathetic mistake in the affairs of this nation. Na that pantami own dey vex me pass, the former mister of Communication was a Muslim extremist, this one, pantami, a Northern Muslim Cleric extremist, who has stopped the sale of SIM cards, SIM cards!! I can't buy one, even with my NIN. What kind of frustrating regime is this. |

Don't you know that if he brings in someone from any other part of the country apart from the north, it may jeopardise their evil machinations. It is high time we started suspecting this people. They are planning something. Only time will tell. |

The last I checked, the new (Acting) IGP is the first IGP from North East. Why we see northerners as 1 and Southerners as 3 in political discussions amaze me even though we all know that we have 6 geopolitical zones in Nigeria. |
