TheSuperNerd:Atalanta is not a big money spender so the fact that he didn't hit the ground running might even attract them because now there's no competition from anywhere else. |

Good point Basco. They always prefer low spending investments and reap bountifully. Also, they do have a way of turning "rejects/non-rateds" into reborn ballers that fit a system. Enter Hateboer and the likes of Freuler. Time will tell. BascoVanVeli: |

Former Napoli midfielder Salvatore Bagni reckons that Victor Osimhen is a better player than ex-Chelsea striker now at Juventus, Alvaro Morata. The Nigeria international has had a difficult first season at Napoli due to injuries but Bagni has backed him to eventually come good. While Osimhen has been involved in seven goals (5 goals and 2 assists) in 1, 292 minutes of action this term, Atlético Madrid loanee Morata has registered double figures in goals and assists (17 goals and 12 assists) for Juventus. "Before judging the performance of the Nigerian we must also consider the number of minutes played," Bagni said during the programme Gonfia La Rete (via Area Napoli). "The Nigerian has missed many games. For me he is much stronger than Alvaro Morata". Osimhen joined the Partenopei for an initial 70 million euros last summer, making him the club's most expensive acquisition in history. |

Fulham, Monaco and Genk are a few of the teams being linked with a move for Chelsea striker Ike Ugbo. The academy graduate has impressed during a loan spell with Cercle Brugge this term. Ugbo has 16 goals to his name this season, and has a contract with Chelsea that expires in the summer of 2022. Monaco owns Cercle, which means they can secure Ugbo for £5 million. Fulham, Genk and Italian side Bologna are also interested in the 22-year-old, according to Goal. Russian |

Ligue 1 club Girondis Bordeaux have provided positive injury update on Super Eagles winger Samuel Kalu, Completesports.com reports. Kalu suffered a recurrence of a thigh injury in Bordeaux’s 3-1 home win against Dijon last month. The 23-year-old was replaced by Nicolas de Preville in the 16th minute of the encounter. The former KAA Gent star started his struggles with a thigh injury in October during Nigeria’s friendly outing against Algeria, which kept him on the treatment table for over a month. Kalu suffered a setback again in February during Bordeaux’s 3-0 loss to Lille but he shook it off and made an immediate recovery to Jean-Louis Gasset’s team a week later. “Samuel Kalu continues his re-athletic training to better prepare for his return,” the club tweeted on Wednesday. So far this season, he has contributed four goals and an assist in 18 Ligue 1 games for Bordeaux, who sit 15th on the league table with 36 points from 32matches. |

TheSuperNerd:We no need attackers abeg. We lack quality in midfield most especially the CM and DM positions. The only certified baller we can boast of in the DM position is ndidi Etebo and aribo re decent at best and yet to wow me in the CM position I can't wait for the emergence of proper and natural midfield enforcers of 9ja heritage in any of the top leagues in europe |
