Nigerian education system has ended life of so many talented folks. Many gifted students dropped out from school because they cannot cope with the system, education programs and the daredevil lecturers in Nigeria. More reason the politicians will not allow their kids to school in Nigeria.

If you are an even better geniuses you could have excelled even more in Nigeria giving you in a community of stupid people. It's a lot more easy.

Much as the hardship in Nigeria is glaring, there's still people(in short a lot) in this wicked country that are reading their lives out and making good grades. Don't comman be making it look as if you can only realize your how good you are ONLY when you're in a better environment. After a second thought, he might be right but we don't have the evidence to corroborate what was written anyway, I know most comments were bore out of the bandwagon effect coupled with the near irredeemable image of the Nigeria educational sector. So I will not blame those who drop their comments without due diligence...

we only have examination system here and not education system. We were taught to cram and pass and after exams we forget whatever we were taught, we cant apply what they teach in school. I crammed all through Msc and PGDE. I thought i was educated untill i had to take a program at Cambridge.

this is what I'm actually proud of about them, they always want the best for us, and I'm also going to replicate the same thing to my kids, I will also give them the best life gotta offer.

One idiot like Jeromejjnr said he would rather die than school or live outside because naija is home sweet home and racism dwells only outside africa cheesy

Funny enough, I see myself in this category — though I didn't do 3rd class as the course I studied don't do that ranking.

Some of the thoughts I had 10-12 years ago are now becoming a reality. An example is the wireless transmission of electrical energy as an electromagnetic wave. Either December 2020 or January 2021, I saw a video of a phone charging wirelessly across a room.

My latest thought is the scientific model for some of this our African magic scenarios. For example, bilocation. I'm so certain that it will be a reality before the end of this century. Imagine being in an environment where you can present ideas and work on them.

University education in Nigeria is exam focused and not knowledge focused. In an exam focused system, students focus more on scoring A in the exams as against understanding the concepts being taught in the different courses.

And yes, it is possible to score A's in a course without understanding the course. This can be done by focusing on solving past questions and following the lecturer's "AOCs"(examinable parts of a course). At the end, you score an A and come out with first class with little or no knowledge of your course.

We are facing this same thing here. The lecturer downloaded topics from Wikipedia, printed it out and sold it to us for 1500.. Everything in that material was the same in Wikipedia and he claimed to study his degree and masters in Russia.

Hyping and Lies.. Nigerians always feeling like they're the smartest in the world..lol..Always blaming the government, lecturers, etc.. Since we're so smart why don't we have plenty inventions to our name.. Why are the Chinese, Japanese, Russians and co leading in major scientific discoveries, space and rocket calculations, robotics, etc.. Thomas Edison, Micheal Faraday, Albert Einstein and co were poor in their lifetime and didn't have any support from their government but still discovered some amazing theories in Physics and other inventions to their name.. Even in games that requires a high IQ such as Chess, no Nigerian Grandmaster.. All you guys have is just Nigerian Mentality.
