Remembering that stuff embarrasses me. Anyway, I was younger then. Which kind younger? I was pretty close to finishing the university when this happened. Chai! Sometimes if I remember it, I get ashamed of myself. I was crying in the room. Chai! Chai!! That was "SIMPY".

What happened? We had broken up, but we were still close. so we were to speak that very learly morning. On calling, there was "call waiting/busy call". I called and called. Her call lasted with the other person she was calling, and its like she was speaking to my elder brother's friend. After her call with the guy, we spoke and it led to her quarreling because I was upset. After the quarrel on phone, she ended the call. I started crying in my room "What a SHAME". Man dey cry!!! Chai... I was a severe SIMP then... Anyway, I was not comfortable with my brother's friend and her. Years later, she confessed she had an affair with the guy....

Today, I am a strong man.

I like people like you who sees their weaknesses and work on it. And we have certified simp, who will be angry anytime we type the word simp on Nairaland....they will never admit their weaknesses or work on it...

I've done silly things in my 3 decades on earth, but, to cry for a Nigerian kpekus is what I can't and will never condescend myself to.


I rather cry for the trees in my community than to cry for a Nigerian girl.

Lesson! No matter what.. No matter how people put it... Never try to be friends with your immediate ex. Especially if u were dumped. It will continue to hurt u.

For example. Like she lasted on that calls, before she would explain to you, but now dat sh dumped you, sh will tell you it's her private call and it will hurt you even more.

Again, you might stand and be gisting with her after walking into each other.. And her new guy who you don't know beckons her to come faster. Sh excuses you immediately and move to him.. It will hurt you.

Again. Sh may hate being held round the waist in the public while she was with you, but but still being close to her will make you see her throw ways such policies for her new guy.. ND it will hurt u...

Bottom line, just stay far away from ur immediate ex. Don't try to b friends, till you are healed if your d one dumped. Maturity or no maturity.. Don't even try to b concerned about her good health, bad health, progress, failure.. Just forget them... It's for your own good.. Common birthdays, don't even send any message.. Just move on like sh is not alive.. If you walk into her mistakenly.. A simple "WATS up or hi is okay while you walk fast past her without a care.. Don't even try to pretend.. Just live like sh never existed...
