ANSMEDIA:
Awka Millennium city update. More internal roads are ongoing and filling of plots to get it to level. Awka Millennium city is the only city in Nigeria with 100% covered drains. AMC is equally coming with smart security networks including CCTV, WIFI, etc. AMC is the best precinct coming to the east for the creme de la creme

Anambra ranked 10th in states IGR 2020, from 26billion in 2019 to 28.01billion in 2020 despite the covid.
We really tried but more efforts has to be putting for us to be generating at least up to or more than 50billion and that will be the multiplier effect of the international Cargo and Passenger airport Umueri, Anambra and international conference center Awka, Anambra

Anambra is now in top 10 states with highest IGR in Nigeria. All we need to hit 50 billion per annum is just blocking of loopholes. With Anambra international airport, international conference centre, 2nd Niger bridge, Awka Millennium City, Onitsha/Nkwelle luxury estate, etc, expect the GDP and IGR of Anambra to soar even higher

Why did Fashola abandon the Federal Secretariat Awka? That project is very crucial to Awka's prosperity and development. Federal workers will be posted there and they will rent houses in Awka and patronize Awka's hotels. The abandonment of the project is yoruba conspiracy to keep Igboland backwards. Honestly between yoruba and hausa/fulani, I can't tell who is more wicked.

With the airport and conference center as Rocksvibes say Anambra will be able to generate upto 50b IGR annually, if our River is dredge for bigger vessels and daily operations that means Anambra is on high. Alot of activities will be happening in Anambra economically and we will be in nearest level with Lagos then if our ANSG put more effort and also in creating more enabling and business friendly environ that means we are at the higher level to even outgrown Lagos

People dont know the reason why I support Gov Obiano 100%.. I saw his plans for the state from beginning and knew what he wants for the state. He has laid the foundation for Anambra to only compete with Lagos in the future.. If the next governor continues with his template then in the 10 years Anambra will comfortably compete with Lagos.. I'm very confident if he has more time, he would achieve that himself but I hope the next governor buys into this plan..

Anambra used to lag behing Enugu in IGR but not anymore... The state is now performing among the best in Nigeria in every indices of governance.

Talk on operations at the Onitsha river port have gone quiet all of a sudden (apologies to Tekno lipsrsealed)!

Few months ago, there was frenetic activity at the port with test barges berthing to test operational capacity, etc. Anyone know if full operations have started yet?

I think they are just putting fittings, lifts and other finishing touches by now. Main work has been completed. Fittings and fixtures is not like laying block work which is faster

These are pictures between 2018/2019. They should be completing the entire edifice with landscaping by now because it is a massive structure on a very large land space

Now that Anambra is on the top 10 in IGR generation. We should now aim the top 5. It is easily achievable in a progressive state as Anambra

Revenue goes to the state. Any taxation in the airport goes to the state coffers.

The poor igr of Anambra can't be blamed on leakages. The state simply doesn't have the infrastructure to maximize its tax potentials. How can we be the 4th largest economy yet place 10th on igr generation. This is very poor.

However, there are no structure in group to cover all taxable adults , businesses and residents. Anybody that has the finance to erect a mansion be it in the village should pay taxes , at least 100,000 annually.

There will be revenues and expenses. Owerri which is the fifth busiest airport in Nigeria loses over 2 billion a year. Port Harcourt loses money, Enugu loses money. The best option for ANSG is to do what Delta did and hope a private investor will see value in running it under concession.

Pay taxes because government did what exactly? Did they give them road or water? The surest way to Greater iGR is industry and big companies not 1 man businesses in 10x10 stalls.

Anambra has made tremendous progress in its IGR over the last few years from 500 million to about 2.5 billion per month. Always spewing nonsense, SMEs you are looking down on are the real engine of any successful economy, ask China and Japan.

There are federal tax and there are equally state tax, that's why you have federal inland revenue and state inland revenue. So in any organisation the two tax systems goes hand in hand, particularly in public facilities like seaport, airports, etc

Stop feigning ignorance. It has been stated here over and over that Anambra international airport will be the busiest airport in Nigeria aside Abuja and Lagos. Nobody has ever compared it to the kind of traffic in Abuja or Lagos. Face your backward state and leave Anambra people and their airport.
