In bold.
No government does “finish development in one zone before moving to the next zone.” My university, in fact, no university, would teach that; because finishing in one zone first means forcing influx of people into the zone you want to finish first.

Chisos of Ndi Orumbe!!
only university can bring development to Orlu nothing more, nnewi people are developing their town why can't Orlu do so, u think university is a good thing nonsense

#Q. Is there any other thing you will like to tell us in terms of the performance of your ministry. Your message to Imo people.

#Ans. What we have done is there for everybody to see, and it tells you what we can do if given the opportunity and if we have enough money. We are doing the roads to stand the test of time. No government should be praised for constructing a road, because that's what you're supposed to do in the first place. If we have done that in the last eight years, no body will be talking about roads by now. We would have freed funds for other sectors and develop other facilities.

This is one point I always raise here.
If Hope Uzodinma is doing all these roads, it simply means that Rochas Okorocha wasted Imo State resources on "China roads".
I just Hope that the era of China roads has ended. undecided
He was not asked why there are heaps of sand on all state roads
Have the road sweepers been sacked??

So university is not a good thing.

It’s obvious you never attended university, your writings show that.

Universities in Owerri led to development of the area. You want Orlu people to forfeit their federal allocations but contribute money to develop their area.

A lack of consideration for justice and equity in Imo State would have serious consequences for the state. Owerri zone have the Imo State specialist hospital, mother and child hospital in addition to the proposed teaching hospital. No just and fair minded person would want Orlu zone to have two government teaching hospitals when Okigwe zone have non

Obowo local goverment is a good location because they have enough population and surrounded by highly populated local government areas, the location is very economically viable, the Owerri to Umuahia federal road pass through Obowo local government area and they have available lands.
Isiala and Ehime Mbano local government areas are also good locations as they have the population, surrounded by highly populated local government areas, the location is very economically viable, they host the Umuahia to Orlu and Owerri to Okigwe federal roads and they have available lands.
In bold: where went justice and equity all the time Owerri senatorial district hosts FUTO, IMSU, AIFCE, FEDPOLYNEKEDE, FERCOLAT?
Idea thing about teaching hospital now is convert Imo state university teaching hospital in Orlu to a federal university teaching hospital, that has been the demands of past governors of Imo state.
Owerri area has developed, Owerri urban center has expanded beyond recognition through all the tertiary education institutions located in it.
We need to use federal development institutions to stimulate development in the 2nd largest urban center — Orlu- in Imo state.

Mugu. Express your frustrations with those smart Alecs who used every governor of Imo state since 1999 to plough the 13% payments from oil money to develop their Owerri senatorial district, assuming you are truly from Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta area.

No saner person would see what I wrote as borne of ignorance and stupidity.

Or were you referring to Udenwa, Okorocha and Hope as stupid?

In bold.
Gun on the heads of governors from Orlu senatorial district to develop only Owerri is by Owerri seizing all government development institutions in Imo state for only Owerri senatorial district. That prompts population flooding Owerri area. That necessitates governors to build infrastructures in Owerri area to contain the urban expansion in Owerri area.

The present governor should have been bold to locate IMSU permanent in the KO MBADIWE campus in Ideato, as recommended by professors in Ihedioha government committee.

It will always be well with Okigwe zone.

I knew that there were little differences in the levels of urban development between Owerri, Orlu and Okigwe in 1976 when Imo state was created.

By Owerri politicians cornering all government development institutions in Imo state for Owerri zone, they established inequity and injustice against Okigwe and Orlu senatorial districts.

Problem with some of you is that you believe equity is only meant for sharing governorship post and other political posts.
Equity demands that if FUTO for example, is in Owerri zone, IMSU must be in either Orlu or Okigwe zone. That’s how it’s in many other states.

Yes but very close to each other, I was once confused as well.
Shell investment worth 3.5 billion dollars while seplat investment worth 700 million dollars
If I may ask, this Ohaji-Egbema that seems to be the sugar for Imo state when it comes to oil production, I hope that area is fully developed? I hope the oil companies there are carrying out CSR by atleast helping to build roads, drainages, schools and health centres?

(Haven't been to that area before)

they don't need flyovers..they need the full implementation of the owerri masterplan ( which includes full construction of inner and outer rings roads in Owerri) and extention of full road constructions to other parts of imo state interlinking various villages and towns
Expansion for warehouse? How far can that road be extended again... Alternative needs to be done, I go with the flyover though, pull them that park or whatever close by and make better use of the river area

As for fire service, there's sufficient space for expansion both sides, so those turning won't need to join the main lane... That's if the government will be bold enough to demolish the structures around that busstop

Lol, you drive to a point then enter the "estate"... But if you're a pedestrian, there's a side path beside that "bush" you're seeing there that cuts through a kinda fish market or so, then back of people's compounds

the place is really nice ohh , Owerri is really trying in the aspect of malls and supermarket , atleast they are giving shoprite a run for their money , I think apart from lagos I don't think they have any city in nigeria that have more malls and supermarket than owerri ...
I agree with you... Malls/Supermarket/Hotel, Owerri is gradually becoming the best destination to spend your money... Let the hotel's add Casinos and we'll gradually start having a mini-Vegas in the making

Make government just do their part sha, believing the violent news from Owerri stops, cos it's not helping the hospitality industry there

Sure, poultry are making it really big in Imo state as a whole. Infact, any animal farming, I know hotels and restaurants are seeking for goat meat like kilode, unfortunately they just can't get it cos it isn't available.

Only issue is we ain't so big on food crops as we are more tilted to livestock.

Atleast, their primary and secondary schools should be upgraded and if possible, a vocational institute where skills related to oil and gas suck as TIG and MIG welding are taught

Is it proper tarring or Rochas standard tarring that will wash away after a couple of heavy downpours?

Anyone know how all these gas projects will benefit the coffers of Imo state gov’t? The gas being supplied to other parts of the country from Imo gas fields...how does it benefit the states IGR? Anyone?

I’m sorry, but that’s not enough! We’re talking of a resource that, had Imo been a country of its own...or part of a confederation like say the Arab Emirates, the state would have had total control of its resources, and with good management could be like Dubai in say the next two decades!
