It shuts down a lot for me, bad network I suppose, plus I guess your training data was not too large, having to load a large training data to collab sucks.

Yes. Network is very important, that is why I don't open colab directly when I want to do serious training. I open colab through a gcloud VM with stable network. About the data, my dataset is also stored on the cloud (gdrive or dropbox) so uploading is in seconds to minutes as the colab runtime has a very fast internet speed.

Never thought of proxing it through an online instance, and I have a windows aws instance with rdp connection just wasting away lol, thanks man will try this grin.

Yeah uploading is fast but because it cuts a lot due to nework having to upload a 1gb dataset every time just took the fun out of it lol.

Was trying to work on an image generation project(GAN).

Hi everyone, I love this thread, I am also an AI enthusiast, I am currently working on a project

'Preventing the Amplification of Fake News on climate change '

I got stuck somewhere though

Just upload once to Google drive and mount it on collab. There are some JavaScript cheat than can keep your colab runtime running for as long as you want.

My desktop has been on no sleep, no turn off for over 1 month now. I train for over 10hours and collab does not restart my runtime for non interaction. I’m a paid user and my internet is top notch Ethernet connection.

In this post, I will be showing the result of my experiment with an AI agent trained with Pytorch that plays the game snake. Here is the final result.

Are you still working on it?

I am really surprised to see a trend like this on front page.. I am a master student in data analytics, and I am currently writing my thesis in a computer vision and deep learning field. Currently every advanced company uses AI in one way or the other to get ahead and stay in competition. I am open to contribute to any great work. I wish courses like this gets to Nigeria soon because Africa is really behind in technologies this.
How's your thesis going?

I got stuck at the preprocessing stage, tokenization to be precise. I will continue when I am done with my NLP course.
Thanks

Preprocessing is always the issue. I hate it

Nice one. He should get a GPU along with it.

Is he a Nigerian? I'll like to work with academics in the field of AI. I've got some papers I'm working on. My background is not in CS though.
Hello, would like some pointers as there is a paper I am also working with.
