Now, this to me is not an issue because I believe sex starts from the brain and my mindset isn't wired that way anymore. It seems I can't bring myself to do it if I don't feel any deep emotional connection with that person.

That emotional connection is the problem because mostly these days, girls really don't care about that. All they mostly care about is what you're bringing to the table or what you provide financially and materially. Seems to me like love and sex is merely a transaction not different from paying a prostitute for sex.

Can someone help me put this into perspective. Maybe I'm getting it all wrong because this is costing me a lot of relationships I'm very reluctant to pursue even after the first contact and exchanging numbers. I no longer feel the urge to ask them on dates and all that.

Am in this situation too.

I had been in love just once. And it didn't end so well. After that, I swallowed the red pill unknowingly and the urge to date or keep female friends diminished.

It could have been the fact that I was hurting and saw women for who they truly are (selfish and ruthless).

Or I began to see them as a lost cause.

Am currently in a higher institution where girls plenty yakpa, but most times I feel like I don't need them, even tho I think about it, fear chips in.

So what I began to do was this: any girl I get entangled with, I apply little or no emotions. I am always ready to loose any girl that comes my way because I feel they ain't Worth it anymore.

I always feel insecued, thinking that what a girl needs is money... Which is actually the case.

I loose interest in them easily, too.

My fear is this:

I just hope the woman am going to end up marrying wont suffer for what another did... Because, I don't trust myself.

There was this lady I met, online during the lockdown. Luckily, she was a student of my school. So some few weeks back I decided to meet her... Just meet somewhere on campus and catch up.

You need to see what this girl was telling me, that I will take her to one expensive eatery in town and I should get my pocket ready. I asked her if she had a boyfriend and the idiot told me yes. I just laughed. Since then I just Lock up.

These people are just hungry, selfish and ruthless. They are a lost cause. Just let them be and live ur life.

Hmmm. This is deep. Let me begin by saying,you can only fall in Love once in a lifetime, others that come after is just a replica, a mirage. The rage that one feels when you finally realise, that she's not the one , continues to build up until it reaches a level of Zero feelings, So you only do the needful (marriage) because the society demands it. How many people do you think marry for Love?. regretfully, Nigerian women are not helping the situation at all, with their typical vicious and golddigging mentality.

Since you don't want to be used for your money, looks for independent women who are financially stable. Those women are looking for genuine emotional connection like you because they don't need money from men. Also start with forming friendships without expectations. True love and genuine emotional connection grows with time. Friendship allows you to see them for who they really are.
