Abeg, when it comes to arguments, let's learn to do so politely.

If someone posts something you consider to be misinformation, do not harshly castigate the person. Everyone has a right to express their view.

Instead, give your candid advice/suggestion to the person who asked a question, and let that person make their decision.

If you continue to castigate other people because you think they are mis-informing other people, it is not good, and the person will not be happy about it.

Just drop your own helpful suggestion to whoever needs it, and let them choose which of the suggestions they want. No need to quote anyone whose suggestion you have a problem with.

We all came to help, remember that. That alone should be treated with respect.

Thanks @ Spectro,

Just to buttress this point, reading as many as possible pages and post on this platform help you mitigate against fraudster who disguise as helper, it allows you garner more vital iinformation that are tailored towards your need, it helps identify who & who you should really contact for the kind of help you require to solve your problem.

It is easy for everyone to type, but the reliability, validity & efficacy of what is type really count.

I wish I had join this group since Oct 2020 when I started my research, my only mistake (which I'm praying wouldn't cost me a refusal even though I addressed it and I also genuinely want it) would have been avoided.

I can say I joined at the right time too, when I needed to submit my application, I read from 200 plus till over 300 ( walai e no easy), the gurus on this platform are helpful like mad, you mail them they will attend to you. I had issues concerning my SOP, I mailed Lekibobe and boom transformation enter the SOP I sent to him, it saw light.

My point is, this things no easy, but we gats try dey read small small to avoid them crocodile way open mouth dey find who to prey on.

Na still all of us go chop bbreakfast

Quote author=Spectro post=101065741]My little piece of advice.

Please, endeavor to read many, if not all, of the previous posts on this Canada student visa application Nairaland.

I discovered that questions are repeated so many times because prospective applicants do not take their time to go through many of the previous posts. When I started out, I wasn't asking questions because I ensured I looked through many of the posts on this platform. Hence, if I ever asked a question, it had to be unique/new. You will find that answers to many, if not all, of the questions being asked have been answered sufficiently in previous posts.

Secondly, I really have to acknowledge and respect the effort of those who are taking their time to help others. Honestly, helping people does not come easy... It requires sacrifice and some amount of effort. Even when your effort isn't perfect and when you make mistakes, the good thing is that you are not alone, and some people help balance out the mistakes you have made. So, you deserve great respect.

I know that once my visa gets approved, I will leave this platform. But while I'm still here, I will continue to appreciate all of you. Stay blessed and enjoy your weekend.

To pay your school fees at the best rate (CBN), please visit any of these banks: Stanbic-IBTC, Fidelity, Access, FCMB etc and ask them for a (FORM A), that you want to pay your foreign University tuition.

Go to the bank with the following documents:

• Original International Passport
• Original copies of your University certificate
• Your school Invoice showing their bank account and other details.
• They’ll give you a form to fill too

{It’ll Surely End In Praise for us All}
Hi Pinkey2021. Please I wanted to ask if I must have an account with either of the banks listed to pay the tuition?? Since many are saying Zenith bank is a No No (lol) I want to try Stanbic or Fidelity.

Bro, you must be a customer of the bank.

Better still find someone you trust that uses either of these banks (I heard first bank only accept parent, guardian & account holder) and deposit the funds while they help you order the form A and use your details as the drawer of the Form A and the school as payee (beneficiary)

There must be an existing relationship before banks can honour your Form A request.

We go all chop breakfast

Hello Kayyyy, you don’t need to have an existing account with the bank before you use their Form A services. That I know for sure. Form A is a CBN directive and not an individual banking policy.

For instance I used Stanbic-IBTC and I’m not their customer. You can confirm this for yourself.

Visit any Stanbic, Access, Fidelity, Zenith branch etc, stay away from old archaic banks like First bank and co, lol.

Apologies for the late response. At the point of entry, you should provide a confirmation letter from your school which indicates that Work is a component of your program. The immigration officer will issue you a work permit at that point.

###### LONG POST ALERT ######

It’s Testimony Time

Guys, I wish to share my success story in order to encourage others who have been delayed. First of all, I thank Mr. Frankrobbn1, Mr. JustMellow, Mr. Lekiboboe, and other contributors for their selfless services here. I also appreciate some people who have been trying to answer questions in the absence of the gurus, but most times your answers are wrong and misleading.

Secondly, I like to thank Mr. Frankrobbn1 again because he made efforts to ensure I get approved this time, after 2 previous attempts. He is truly a guru. From the choice of course, to choosing the University, including review of LOE & IMM forms, with covering all possible refusal technicalities in my LOE. I appreciate your help, Mr. Frankrobbn1, Almighty Allah will bless you.

1st Application - Online (Did it myself)

- Course: Post-Bachelor Certificate in Accounting.
- School: University of Lethbridge, Alberta
- Sponsorship: Self
- Application submitted – October 9, 2019
- Application refused – November 6, 2019
- Refusal reasons: Family ties and Employment situation

2nd Application - Online (Done by a Canadian Immigration Lawyer)

- Course: Post-Bachelor Certificate in Accounting.
- School: University of Lethbridge, Alberta
- Sponsorship: Self
- Application submitted – November 29, 2019
- Application refused – January 28, 2020
- Refusal reasons: Family ties and Purpose of visit
- GCMS Notes: No evidence on file of PA’s acceptance to Master of Accounting as stated (VO made a mistake here and we pointed it out in the new LOE), and the Applicant’s plans of study appear vague and poorly documented.

3rd (Approved) Application - Online (With all NSE documents)

- Course changed to: Master of Management – International Accounting & Finance
- School changed to: University of Windsor, Ontario
- Sponsorship: Self
- Intake: September 2021, but was changed to May 2021 while my application was in progress
- Application submitted – February 10, 2021
- Submission confirmation – February 10, 2021
- Upfront medical approved – February 16, 2021
- Eligibility review started – February 17, 2021
- Ghost update 1 – February 24, 2021
- Ghost update 2 – February 26, 2021
- Ghost update 3 – March 3, 2021 (GCMS shows that LOA was confirmed this date)
- New LOA for May 2021 – March 19, 2021, sent via IRCC & Kenya Webforms March 20
- Follow-up emails – Started March 22, 2021, twice a week to Kenya, later to London, and Beijing.
- Email acknowledgement – Received once only from Kenya on March 22 with application still in process. I realized there are 2 types of acknowledgements: (1) Active review: if you receive this, then your application is not almost finalized yet, (2) In process: this means your application is in advanced stage.
- Ordered GCMS notes (through a colleague in Canada, I think it’s faster this way) – March 31, 2021
- PPR & BVL Received – April 12, 2021
- Passport received by VFS Abuja – April 15, 2021
- Passport stamped and Counterfoil received – April 15, 2021
- UPS picked up passport – April 15, 2021
- LOI received – April 16, 2021
- UPS delivered passport – April 19, 2021
- GCMS received – April 19, 2021
- Application Visa Office: Nairobi Primary & Windsor Secondary, but application was finalized by Lagos. PPR & LOI came from Lagos.

Lessons learnt:
(1) Career progression is very important,
(2) Significance of fund and its accessibility cannot be over emphasized,
(3) Home ties carry heavy weight, especially family/economic/volunteering, etc
(4) Travel history is an added advantage for matured students like me (40+), Lagos VO acknowledged this in the GCMS notes.

Parting notes
(1) Prospective applicants must be patient
(2) Do not disturb IRCC office if your application has not exceeded processing time or your resumption date is not approaching or your tuition payment deadline is not due soon
(3) It seems Airlines from India & Pakistan aren’t allowed to enter Canada now, so IRCC may shift attention to the Applications from Nigeria, please get set for your good news
(4) Endeavour to go the way of NSE
(5) I feel sad when I read negative comments about Nigeria here, please let’s stop it. It will come to haunt you or other Nigerians. Every country has her challenges, please let’s speak well of our country

BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE AWAITING GOOD NEWS

Big Congratulations to you Honorable

Good day Lekiboboe
Please I have some questions and would appreciate your response

I got admission for Ontario college diploma in international business but graduated with 2.2 in economics
I have been into fashion business for the past 2 years

My brothers is my sponsor. He has a lump sum of 9m entering his account from a 3rd party this excludes the 1.6 in his salary account, he earns a a little over a million monthly, and we plan on making purchase receipt for that and notarize it has he has quite a number of landed properties in his name

Do you think this is a good decision?

But he also would send 7.5m into my personal account for first term fees payment and LE

Please I would appreciate your advise

Thanks for your response.

The reason I am trying to find an alternative is to avoid complicated documentation process as the money is in a company account and the account name is the company name. Plus due to the COVID there have not been a lot of money movement in the account. There is just about 5M there at the moment but she wants to transfer another 5M from her account to it. Making it 10M.

Is it advisable to use the account statement that way?

For me,i don't know about that company's stuff, get more accurate knowledge please.

But what i know is, if you wanted to transfer any money or your mum to you, make sure it is transferred in bits, not the whole 5m, build the account gradually by sending some hundreds and giving it time before it completes the 5m.
If it's at once the V.O might be thinking something else.

Peace!

Please what's a Letter of Introduction? And what do acronyms BVL and PPR mean?
I do not know what Letter of Introduction is.
BVL - Biometrics Verification Letter
PPR- Original Passport Request

Receipt of BVL indicates that a decision has been made on your application and you should receive that decision soon (usually within 24 hours).

This is why most people who have posted their timelines show receipt of BVL & PPR on the same day.

Yeah. Made mine on 2nd April through GTBank, was received by western union on 9th April and it was acknowledged by the school on 20th April. ( it normally takes 5 working days for memorial university to acknowledge the funds after western union transfers the funds to the school which they do same day they receive it. But due to COVID 19 they use 7-10 working days (as per email they sent me).)

A letter of introduction is sent by IRCC telling you that your application have been approved. It also contains information regarding your travel.

You will get this letter after receiving PPR and your passport have been sent to IRCC for stamping
