I am struggling to see the correlation between tier 2 visa and the marriage certificate beyond applying as a dependant.
Would the agent also issue cos for visa application ?
The process for getting a work visa is similar to the student visa process ,so you don't necessarily need an agent. Agent can help with your Cv and job application ,things u could also do yourself.
I am very skeptical about the process and it just doesn't sound right.

You forgot to add..... Agents could also get you banned......... smiley

I clearly remember a few years ago, in this same Ìbàdàn!!!!! Loads of people got visa scammed (thousands of people)...... cool

I am not alluding this is a scam....... But, why not apply yourself........ Agents are becoming a dying breed..... cheesy

That case played out in this section and the thread started as an innocent question but within days agents behind the fraud invaded the thread to give it an oxygen while pretending to be innocent applicants, At the end about 8K and more Nigerians were scammed and scammers made millions.

Allowing that seemly innocent thread to stand promoted that scam far more than the scammers would have done.

I don't know if the guy behind that massive scam was arrested at the end but i understand that he left Nigeria to the UK.

Few years after the scam he emailed me to complain about his details contained in some of the threads i started to expose him.

Convert some of your naira to pounds and carry along as you come. Leave the rest in your naira account, ensure you have token and can use internet banking. You can change while here, when you must have opened a UK account to ensure safety.

tpain22:

Thanks for your response, I would want to move it into my own account, will have to open an account once I get over there in few weeks, am not familiar with the UK banking system yet.. Also large amount of funds that might translate into at least £10,000

Very necessary, get as much documents as you can. Don't be like Lot's wife.

You can drive with it for one year

Hi good morning, about going to the Uk and I was trying to get international drivers license from here but someone said it’s not recognized in Uk...true?

@justwise, he's not fraudulent. He's a friend of mine and we are both processing a school in the UK together. when he told me about it yesterday, I told him to take the matter to matter to nairaland because I wondered why people aren't being using the route if it is that easy. More reason why he never mentioned the name of the so called company. After searching nairaland, the company name didnt pop up. He never meant to advertise any company.

He is and he is not new here, just an old member who created that ID today to 'taste the water'

He wasn't asking about the legitimacy of the package, he wants to know if its better than paying heavy international tuition fees

He doesn't need to mention the name of the company, posting it here is enough to get desperate nairalanders sending him pm

I really don't understand the procedures anymore, it used to be straightforward by applying online, make payment then book appointment but now i'm not sure if the embassy is even opened let alone making an application.

Please, what location(s) is advised for a newly wedded Nurse about to relocate to the UK?

Spouse is a junior-level data analyst and won't mind working remotely.

Considerations would be on cost of accommodation, transportation, groceries; friendliness of community to blacks and newcomers; suitability for raising kids - schooling.

Dear Nigerian-UK forerunners, based on your insight and experience, kindly advise on locations to target based on profile above.

Thanks - Nagode - Daalu - Ese!

What your friend said is true, but before you go ahead please read about UK spouse visa requirements to know if your woman meets the requirements. Its very expensive visa to apply for, so you have to gather a lot of documents.

There is spouse visa thread here, take your time and go through it for full understanding of what it entails.
