I once asked someone why he wasn't swimming while his brothers were swimming because I assumed he could swim and instead of telling me he did not know how to swim he went to dive into the pool and almost drowned luckily other people saved him...

This reminds me of an incident that happened to me in the late 90s as a young lad I was taking my normal afternoon bath at a nearby river suddenly I found my bathing container being carried away by the river and there an older boy around decided to help me by jumping into the river to rescue my container, as soon as he jumped in he was overpowered by the moving force of the river and was grappling for his life but thankfully an older man was coming to take his own bath at that time and came to his aid. Please let's always make sure we have all it takes to really help others so that we don't hurt ourselves trying to help others not just in the river but in every spheres of life. Rip to the dead.

One thing I know for sure is, there's absolutely no way in the world he would have jumped into that river if he didnt know how to swim. But something a lot of people sadly do not know is that being able to swim is totally different from being able to save a drowning person. Saving a drowning person requires a whole different level of skill and experience.

What exactly was he thinking? Guess he was thinking he was in Nigeria where help doesn't come on time and when it eventually comes,it is as good as useless.Imagine how he got himself killed and help comes swiftly but he was long gone when help located the ones he wanted to help.Isee him as no hero but someone who gambles with his life
