I am surprised that a Nigerian degree is compared as equivalent to 2 years academic education in Holland. I would compare it to mid secondary education.

I think the statement from ASUU is just based on egoism which has never been good for Nigeria image . what do they mean by heavy scholars?

leading scholars not general scholars, and here it encompasses students and professors. Also, there is a qualification which is a "heavy presence", not an "overwhelming presence" or "heavier presence".

The key word here is *Heavy* presence and that is not true.

As little as Ghana maybe, some of her scholars are also in the USA and UK teaching .

honestly I am lost with what you are saying. university of Ghana is a recognised institution.

by natural understanding , A graduate of university of Ghana will hardly pick Nigeria for a second degree ( it might happen). you spend nothing less than 30 thousand dollars to be educated in legon as a foreigner. that alone shows such student is not poor to sponsor herself abroad .

Na so no be lie . Very peaceful country , they view foreigners like ordinary citizens who live around them . You can walk anytime any day in Ghana . The security situation there is bae . I travelled from accra to aflao about three hrs journey ( as I was retuning home ) we were 5 of us including the driver . While other passengers were germans only me and the drivers re black and no security escort or whatsoever. Nice road network and no crime .

Because one man decided that there will be zero tolerant for corruption and that was how state of ghana changed . My fiancee prefers Ghana airport to Nigeria. peace and stability play a leading role in educational system. for example, iran is a case study . with her world acknowledge respected society starting far back as 1st century , her university are not well ranked . this should have been one of the best country to learn judging from her past. Syria used to be a great citadel of learning too.

Even me as a Nigerian I got no respect from any Nigerian university probably only covenant university. I spent 5years in university of calabar wasting my time I should have done better as a cobbler or a bike mechanic

Sorting is how many students become so-called graduates today! Most of them can't even fill forms or write applications without errors!
