I was interviewed for an Internal Audit GA position, but I didn't get it after the first and last interview, e pain me die.
I was told we were 22 students applying for the same position, we were later reduced to 10. And they are only looking to employ just 2.

I don't know how possible it is to apply for both. From my previous gathering, the Canadian process requires you submit your documents (including passport) for a period of time - sometimes stretching up to 3 months. This is May already, if you apply today and your passport is kept for two months, that may affect your US intentions.

You will have to focus your intentions on one plan and your wife will need to be involved in your decision. I heard Canada gives your spouse a work visa during your time as a student. The visa process is time consuming but in general sense, it will be easier for you to settle as a family. America has its advantages as well.

*Personally*, I'd advise you apply to the American embassy as soon as possible. If the result isn't positive, then you can focus on the other. Canada is still fighting the pandemic and immigration has been even slower. If it's not compulsory to go this Fall, then go ahead with the Canadian dream.

You've got full funding on both sides, so cost is out of the door. Let your decision be based on other factors.
